Overall, this place is meh. Service was okay but the ambiance of this restaurant is lacking. We were the only ones in there plus another table on a Saturday night. The water tasted very metallic and like straight unfiltered tap water. Our food was very bland - my boyfriend ordered Chicken Tikka Masala (their namesake) and it tasted like campbell's tomato soup. I got chicken saag and it was good, but only because I ordered it medium - had I ordered it mild, I think it would've just tasted like spinach. Would not return unfortunately. read more

I don't know if I've ever tasted Indian food without spice before. But if that is something you would like to experience, I would suggest this place. I ordered a korma and I'm pretty sure they gave me some sort of butter chicken. I doubt they even added black pepper. We also ordered samosas and definitely we're not given half of the sauce needed. This place looks not great from the outside... I was expecting a tiny place... but its really nice and big inside! The good was amazing. We started with these awesome fired Brussels sprouts. I had the Chicken Tikka Masala (i mean, that IS their name!). It was so good. Garlic naan... fantastic! My GF had a tofu dish and she loved it. We can't wait to go back again. Fantastic samosas, although I found the rest of the food to be mediocre and the service to be disappointing. We popped in on a Saturday night and there was only 1 other table in the restaurant, with a sprinkling of to-go orders. The server was very inattentive and the ambiance was awkward. There would be moments where the music would start and stop or the tv would randomly start playing loudly or the phone would be ringing for minutes at a time. Tables were left unbussed and we even had to fill up our own water from the water fountain. Seems like there could improvements to management and overall service training. Food: The samosas were super good and we loved the mint sauce and tamarind chutney! My boyfriend enjoyed the lamb Malabar. The chicken biryani was alright. I ordered it mild, but it came out pretty spicy so do be aware it's a bit spicier. The garlic naan tasted very buttery, almost like an artificial butter on top. Ordered the onion Baji which was horrible. The batter came out black and it didn't look like they cleaned out the oil in months. The lamb masala was overcooked and chewy. The sauce was great The chicken in the tikka masala was overcooked as well and again the sauce was amazing. The chicken 65 was the worst i have ever had! No batter just a weak slightly wet dry rub. The only real great dish was the mysore masala dosa. My only wish was they provided a tomato chutney with the dosa! The sambar was not great but their mint chutney made up for it We will not be ordering from here again! Learn how to cook meat and maybe we will return. read more

On the up side ... mango lassi was great. Drove 25 min to pick up this food as we were in Tampa only a night. So disappointed. I did call to voice my displeasure and awaiting hearing back from the owner- I do hope he will make this right. Dry, no yogurt with the chicken dish, only 1/2 a small plastic container for the Samosa which tasted of old oil and despite my request for chutneys (being willing to purchase but usually are complimentary in Atlanta) to receive 2 mint with lots of dry rice - no lemon - no yoghurt - just mostly dry rice. When I said the Naan was burnt - she said that is how their garlic naan comes. For those that like eating minced garlic from a jar- maybe you will like this. I hope they will make this right. Perhaps earlier in the evenings the food is much better. I really had hoped this was going to be delicious as it is a treat for me to have Indian food. This place deserves way more than a 4.0 rating--seriously, it's not mid at all. I honestly wonder what's wrong with some people's tastebuds when I see those one-star reviews. I ordered the Aloo Gobi Masala, the Tikka Masala, and of course naan bread (a total crowd-pleaser). Every bite was packed with flavor, perfectly balanced, and absolutely delicious. This is a winner-winner chicken dinner when it comes to flavor. I ordered through Uber Eats, and let me tell you--it travels well and still hits the spot. We don't have a ton of Indian spots in the area, so finding one this good feels like striking gold. The Aloo Gobi especially had such rich flavor that I cannot stop raving about it. Just a little heads up: if you like cinnamon, you might catch a hint of it in the seasoning, which I personally loved. This is hands-down my new favorite spot, and I highly recommend supporting this restaurant--it deserves way more credit! read more

OMG! What a shitshow this place is! Went for dinner at 6:30 pm with my wife. We were the only people ther. There's a board in the window advertising Dosas but no dosas on the menu. After asking we were given a flimsy paper menu with dosas as options. We ordered 2 different fosas and an appetizer (samosa chat). After waiting for 20 minutes one of the dosas arrived. By itsel! No chutney or sambar! Just a casual "Enjoy your meal". After asking, we received one tiny thimble of coconut chutney. Still no sambhar. After asking for that we received a lukewarm bowl of sambhar but 15 minutes later!! By now the dosa was cold. Still no sign of the other dosa or the appetizer! Finally after 30 minutes after placing the order we got the appetizer. A cold plate of samosa chat with no chutney or onions on it. Just a bland tasting small portion of a few chick peas and one small samosa crushed up. Still no sign of the other dosa! It was just a Mysore masala dosa after all. After asking twice, 10 minutes later we got a pale looking triangular dosa with potato filling. But no chutney or sambhar! When i asked about these I was told it'll be along in 10-15 minutes!! My dosa did not have any podi powder (you know, the Mysore part). Also it was rather undercooked! I asked for another to be cooked and the waiter rather disapprovingly snatched away the one I had (thankfully as I was not going to eat it). After 18 more minutes I received another dosa. This was cooked and had the spice powder it should have. But no sambhar and chutney! Another 10 minutes and I asked after the sambhar. The waiter went up to the counter at the rear and was met by the "chef" who scoffed and yelled at the waiter at having to provide sambhar! The waiter told him that it was needed. After another 12 minutes I finally received the bowl of sambhar to enjoy with a now cold, soggy dosa. When I expressed my frustration the waiter said "I'm doing the best I can". During the long time we were sitting at the table, another couple came in and was seated at the table behind u. They were ignored for 15 minutes and they simply walked out. This place leaves a LOT to be desired. I would urge the owner to contact me to see how he's going to make things right. If you're considering this place, do yourself a favor and go to the food truck just a minute away. Not only is their food tasty, it's served promptly, hot and without an attitude. Our server seemed like she'd been forced to do this on the spot. No eye contact. No thoughtfulness or helpful demeanor. Very uneasy, trying to avoid us, it felt like. Didn't ask if we wanted drinks. Didn't offer cold water. That makes this place lose about 1.5 stars. The food was delicious. We started with the Samosa Chaat as an appetizer. Great way to begin, highly recommend it! The owner is such a nice guy and the food is here delicious! He let us in after temporarily closing to dining in to catch up delivery orders and after eating here I can see why he had so many! Some Of the best Indian food I've had in a long time! We had samosas, chili and garlic naan, so many mango lasseys and my friends even tricked me into trying goat and you know what ? It wasn't bad! Price is like 12.50 for each dosa but no peanut chutney. dosa is thick and horrible it's not at all Indian dosa and I'm sure anyone who knew dosa cannot or will not agrees this as dosa, it is thick and hard. How come this restaurant is still open with this kind of recipe and taste. Sambar is horrible with no salt and it's like dal and added potato in sambar. It's all about the food! Chef Atoni is a master of flavor. He took our order and prepared our dishes that were served hot and full of flavor and heat depending on our requests. Medium heat for my Shrimp Kerala curry and for a friends lamb vindaloo. My hubby always goes for hot shrimp vindaloo. The sauces & curry are richly rooted in flavors that meld together in luciousness & you need two orders of naan In garlic flavor & of course for extra heat chili naan to really sop up the sauce! For appetizers we had Chicken 65 & cauliflower bezule vegan both served hot & crispy. We brought along a friend who had never eaten Indian food before and he finished everything very full & happy. Had a good takeout experience and enough of a reason to justify an updated review! This time I called in my order of Butter chicken and naan (instead of using the online system). I was provided an estimated wait time of 40 minutes with an explanation that they had to run out of rice; a long wait but it was somewhat reassuring that they had been busy enough to run out of rice. I planned accordingly and upon arriving only had to wait about 3 to 5 minutes for my food to be brought out. The portions were huge! The order contained enough chicken and rice to turn my one order into two meals - and hands down, Tikka Masala makes the best butter chicken in the T&C area. read more

They definitely need to put better attention to the cleanliness here, in particular the restrooms but you can't deny the food is absolutely delicious. Please hire a good cleaning service though! They are better off leasing part of the space and doing business only as a TAKE OUT restaurant. DONT EVER EAT INSIDE unless you're looking for the absolute worst customer experience in existence. They do get a lot of orders so if you're eating inside, be prepared to wait more than 45 minutes for food. Even if you're the only one there. From what I heard from one of the servers, -they don't get to keep their tips. So if you believe your service always adequate and plan to leave a tip, do so with cash only. Good option for Indian food in the area. Walking in, this place has a welcoming atmosphere, nicely decorated, clean, spacious and great service so far. I have tried their lunch buffet and I loved the options that they have, with a good mix of chicken, vegan and vegetarian items. They tasted fresh and were well made. Now with just takeout and delivery option, you can order directly from their website for pickup or through associated delivery partners. Definitely like their chicken Biryani (I do order a bit of gravy on the side), paneer pakoda as appetizer and kulfi as dessert. Food was delicious but if I was rating the cleanliness of the restaurant it would get a 1/10. The bathroom was swarming with small bugs, the floor was sticky throughout the place but mostly on the restroom which also didn't have a lock on the only operating toilet. Definitely one of the better Indian buffets I've been to in Tampa. I was not a fan when this place was Dosa Hut. It's the one Indian buffet that I've ever disliked. I decided to give this place a shot and I'm glad I did - I enjoyed the buffet. We got here at 1 p.m. on a Wednesday and found the place pretty empty, we were one of three tables. While we were there a duo of Indian men came in. I'm always glad to see Asians eating at Asian restaurants, because usually that means it's a good one. They bring the naan fresh to the table. It was nice and warm. The buffet itself has a lot of great vegan and vegetarian options. There were only about three chicken dishes (which was the only meat). Since I'm avoiding meat I really appreciated this. I didn't feel deprived at all, because all the dishes were flavorful. I enjoyed every dish, but nothing stood out for me to go get seconds of. Although you can see from my picture that I thoroughly packed my first plate. I definitely got my fill of veggies. The service was quick and friendly. Ok so I am not big on Indian food because my stomach does not agree with curry BUT my wife and friends loved the food. We went on Wednesday at 6:30pm and were the only ones there. We were a bit worried until we saw the amount of takeout that they did. WOW! Anyway, the food is flavorful and full of spice (per my nose and my wife's pallet). I had a Chilli Shrimp dish with rice on the side and it was fantastic. We ordered calamari and Brussel sprouts as an appetizer and recommend both. Not only was the food not culturally accurate and very distasteful but the service was extremely slow even when the restaurant was not busy. This is a very modernized Indian restaurant. Newly renovated with pale blue booth seating, decorated with various spices and wall art. Place is clean! The service was good. The waiter was very attentive. The only downside was the food came before the naan, which took a little while. I was the only person at the time dining in so I had the place to myself, so unsure why my food was delayed for a bit... Regardless, let's talk about the food! I order their chicken biryani which was delicious! Served in a modern dish topped with lemon slices and onions, it is very flavorful. It's served with their yogurt (so YUM)! Portion sizes are large and could easily feed 3 people. (aka left overs fo dayzz) I also ordered the garlic naan as pictured. It has a little different texture than other naans I'm used to. Decided to try something new! So Indian food it shall be. Let's just say it was not a bad idea at all. This place is a must try. It is a little different than what I am use to eating, but the flavors were out of this world! I wanted to try a couple of different things. Yep, can never decide on just one item or two. The Onion Bhaji: sliced onions dipped in chickpea flour and deep fried - Vegan appetizer. It will remind you of onions straws that you get at other different restaurants. I felt like the onions could have been a little thicker, if the batter is that thick. I really did not get a chance to enjoy the onions as they were a little too small and drowned in the batter. The Tomato Rasam: This was not good to me at all. Sorry :( I love tomatoes, onions garlic and becoming a fan of ginger.. but something was a little off to me with this soup. One was the smell. Once I took the top off, there was a smell that would not leave. I am not sure what the main ingredient was in this one, but I was just not a fan. I did try it, hey I paid for it. Nope the taste did not make the cut. It was an experience for only $4.95. The reason why I gave a 4. This is the soup that did it. It won me over, and I will be a regular at this place just for that at this time. The Multigatawny Soup - Vegan: This was a tangy lentil soup with spices. This soup was amazing. Love the texture and taste. The lentils were well cooked, and the spices made it even better. I was so tempted to go back for another bowl, but I decided not to. This one is only $5.95 and it is worth it. The customer service and the spotless place is awesome. The place looked as if they had it professionally clean from top to bottom. Sanitizer was available, and you the option of picking up a clean menu or visiting their website for a contact free menu. The menus provide a lot of details in regards to the dish that you can select. They have a lot of Vegan dishes to enjoy. The gentlemen at the front door greeted you with a mask. You know, you had me Tikka Masalaa when we realized how close you are located to us - I think it's one of the few Indian restaurants we have! They offer 4 different types of spice levels. We both went with 3rd hottest, reserved Indian spicy for the extremist, not quite there. THANK YOU for kickin' the heat up a notch because my nose was runny & I looved it. I love that the heat builds up gradually! The first bite of bone in goat was succulent and so tender; The soft cartilage attached to the bone was flavorful...I loved every single. bite. *MICDROP* It does have few bones, a couple fatty pieces & was looking forward to a slightly bigger serving of goat for $18...prices comparable to other Indian restaurants. I ordered for my hubs, Butter Chicken. It's dark meat, so you know it's a great Takeout choice because it's a couple bucks less than the goat, $16, & on the drive home, the heat didn't make the chicken tough or dry. The sauce is creamy, a little sweetness plus chili gives it a nice orange color. *SOLD - an easy REORDER* We will certainly be back to order a Lamb Curry, Garlic Naan, Mango Lassi, Rose Ice Cream, etc. There's a lot of Vegan, Vegetarian & Indo Chinese options, too. I ordered To Go during Covid-19. Dining hasn't reopened because the owner is being cautious. The dining area is bright & has lots of booths - lovely.
