Ordered Makhani Chicken, Goat Curry, and Garlic Naan. The location is a very designed pickup spot and the order was ready Fast! Makhani had a really pleasant spice to i and chicken was fresh. The Goat curry was fantastic. I got a really nice bone full of delicious marrow. Very glad I tried this spot and will definitely be ordering from again!

This place is a welcome addition to the Indian food offerings in Portland. I've been looking for a good hariyali chicken and dal makhani here and finally found both here. The cilantro chicken tikka here comes closest to what I was craving. I also tried their original tikka which was also great. Somehow the portion between the two varied notably (pic). For curries I tried saag chana, dal makhani, and fish korma. All were great and flavorful. I was only disappointed that the fish was salmon instead of halibut as per the menu. Would note also that medium spice is decently spicy. I don't particularly like ordering from third party apps and had a little trouble figuring out where to pick up the food so I hope they open a proper restaurant in the future. Will surely order here again.

Good place to grab a quick bite - FYI this place is takeout only! Food was super flavorful with lots of variety, also many vegetarian options :) My friend and I ordered the veggie korma and saag chana with a side of garlic naan, both delicious! My only concern is the lack of indoor seating, something I wish I knew ahead of time.

Seems very authentic, but I got a MILD vindaloo and it is so spicy that I cannot even eat it! WTF! This is not "mild"! My spice tolerance is low right now as I haven't been eating too much spice recently, but I do not consider myself to be a wimp when it comes to spicy food! This is ridiculous. The samosas were ACTUALLY REALLY good, and so was the vindaloo. Seems like they use great ingredients, I just wish I'd been able to eat what I ordered.

Wow! Tikkalicious always impresses me with this delicious food and great portion size! I got the Old Fashioned Tandoori Chicken and Garlic Naan for my first order, both were amazingly flavorful and reminded me of when I used to order this as a kid. I had to come back to try the curry and I ended up getting Chicken Makhani Curry and Naan, which blew me away again in flavor and size. I will be returning again soon, thank you!

The most delicious cloud kitchen you will encounter when you are in PDX.

There's…read moredefinitely a part of me that misses pre-pandemic era when lunch buffets were common place and this place is only a few blocks from my office. I got there a little after 11:30. The sign said the buffet started at 11:30 but they weren't ready, so I had to wait a little bit. Not a big deal, especially when a place is trying something new. It gave me an opportunity to check out the space. Like a lot of Indian restaurants, it's a little over the top, with the decor pushing towards opulent but not in an overly stuffy way. The buffet was setup along the bar top, and it was clear they were still figuring it out. Instead of chafing dishes and sternos, they were using electric warming trays and setting out the cookware on top of them. Price wise, it's $20, which feels like the going rate these days (i.e. it's the same as Namaste). That being said, the smaller setup and the individually cooked items meant a way higher quality of food. There was a chicken curry, mushroom magic, a daal, chicken tikka, gulab jamun and a handful of other items including a fusion quesadilla with chicken and pieces of fried paneer. The curry was fine, nothing special. The daal (I think tadka?) was a little thinner than I prefer and a slightly over-seasoned, but was good even with the over seasoning. The mushroom magic was good, but the real spotlight was the chicken tikka. With everything being prepared in smaller batches than the stereotypical buffet, this was the moistest chicken tikka I ever had, and the texture and flavor far exceeded anything I would expect from a buffet. They did bring out fresh naan, but that felt like something they were doing since it was still new/slow, i.e. they had naan on the buffet line too. The only thing I would have liked would have beeen some achar, but I'm sure that puts me in a very small slice of potential customers. Definitely see myself coming back here, and ideally dragging along some of my coworkers. tl;dr; smaller buffet with incredible quality due

We did not need 35 dishes! Some of the dishes are very small, and some are enormous, so ask if you don't know to strike the perfect balance. Some are offered on a range of 1-5 spiciness, and it definitely leans on the spicy side, so you may want to stick with 1-3. The flavors here are fabulous! Somewhat like a samosa filling but still quite unique. Wasn't spicy but was very flavorful. Combination plate with Seeni Sambal (caramelised onion tamarind chutney), Polos (jackfruit curry), Deviled pineapple (daily special; the best of the lot!), Radish salad, Mustard Greens salad, and chickpea curry. Served with rice and papadum. The seeni sambal was the only mediocre thing on the platter. Loved the deviled pineapple where pineapple was stewed in a spicy sauce. The pineapple pieces had absorbed the sauce really well and were very juicy with a nice bite to them. The polos is also a must try - raw jackfruit really absorbs spices well and the fleshy and stringy / fibrous texture made it extra delicious. The mustard green and radish salad were also very moist and lightly seasoned, while the chickpea curry was only mildly spiced but balanced the rest of the dishes well. Mango ice tea (4/5) - we got it unsweetened so the mango flavor did not really come through all that well. Very friendly staff/owners. Parking can be a little had to find - we parked at a spot about a 5 min walk away. Gender neutral restroom located past the kitchen so they ask you to wear a mask while walking to the restroom. Outdoor and patio seating with very beautiful decor. Love the ambience and the whole vibe.

The chicken is cooked in it, and was cooked beautifully. This is a very different experience than almost any other Indian restaurant that mixes spices and chicken cooked separately into already cooked rice. Apna Chaat Bhavan is my usual stop for Biryani, but this is on another level, I haven't found any other local restaurants that come close (Bombay Cricket Club had great biryani back in the day too). It's not Hyderabad Dum style, it is a Punjabi regional style as I understand. The palak paneer was clearly made with fresh spinach, it had an excellent intense fresh spinach flavor, a big difference from the mild bland stuff most restaurants serve. The paneer was also fantastic, with a great flavor and texture - not the softer/more bland style often served. Haveli serves proper homemade food with good fresh ingredients, big portions, very nicely balanced flavors.
