This is a review of the fine folks that took care of her in her final days. This facility is part rehab facility and part nursing home. Over the past six years, she has been here for rehab, for several weeks at a time, five or six times. She was so pleased with the service and the staff that she chose here for the last year of her life She was comfortable and cared for and clean and well fed and stimulated as best as you can be at that advanced age. Over the years, I've visited dozens and dozens of times, and I've found the employees to be just fine. While the pandemic was a huge challenge, they handled it professionally. The "lockdowns," while annoying for visitors and loved ones were a necessary part of the unprecedented situation. This is not the "Mercedes" of nursing homes but if you want to sleep well at night knowing that your loved one is well cared for, this is a fine choice in the Central Florida area!

I was one sick puppy!…read more I spent almost a week in the hospital. Then, three weeks at inpatient rehab. Now at least a month going to outpatient rehab and that's where these fine folks come in. Heads up! - Two reviews (Lee Y & Tito R) are incorrectly posted and belong with the hospital across the street. Process- Before my 1st appointment, they texted me an online registration link. This minimized the paperwork and was much appreciated! Appointments run on time which is delightful! Atmosphere- This is a big place with all the rehab bells and whistles for both PT and OT. Masks are required and they clean equipment a lot! Customer Service- The two service folks that have touched me have been friendly and efficient. For consistency, I requested that I have the same therapist each visit and they happily accommodated me! Therapists- My guy has been awesome. He likes to set objective goals and he clearly explains the "why" of every exercise. In addition to getting better, I'm learning a lot! These folks are part of the Advent Health System which I use quite a bit. They are great choice for outpatient rehab in Highlands County.

I went in for an ultrasound and ended up in the ER. Yes, the staff is worn out in places - they have been in a war. Still, I received all the treatment I needed. The operating room was beyond overbooked. So, I had to wait a day for my surgery. I was kept out of danger with antibiotics. EVERY staff member was a true hero. I know many of them were working after having had COVID and still came back. So, after waiting a day, I was the only one in pre-op. I went almost right in and EXPERT surgeons saved my life. Turned out it was worse than they first thought and the antibiotics had really been needed. After surgery, I was treated for another three days and EVERY test and procedure was done. I have been in this hospital with my family a few years back and it's not the same - it's rougher around the edges. THE WHOLE WORLD is rougher around the edge.

I've been with him for 11+ years and here is what it's like to visit this practice. Arriving- He is in private practice and owns his own very nice stand-alone building with private parking. It is just off US Route 27 North. Parking is a snap. Ambience- The interior is spotless with a comfortable waiting room. I don't spend much time there as his process is very efficient. His treatment rooms are also very comfortable. Network- He is part of the Advent Health System as are all of my specialist MDs. It's wonderful and extremely convenient that all of my Docs have access to all my records! Intake Process- When I show up, I usually see two or sometimes three folks that take care of the basics. They are friendly and efficient, do their thing and then pop me into a treatment room. So customer service is exemplary. I usually wait about five minutes before the boss shows up. Bedside Manner- If you are expecting a crisp white jacket and formal attitude, you are in the wrong place! He usually wears shorts and for me he hits just the right balance between casual and getting the job done! Super easy to talk to. If I get a blood test, he calls me within a week after the results are in. Faster if it's something serious. Language Barrier- Folks sometimes ask me if he has a difficult accent and the answer is absolutely not! Anyone who has ever met him will say the same. A quick visit to the front desk to pick up any follow up paperwork and I'm out of there! Conclusion- So I experience an excellent environment with solid caring and friendly staff.
