He did exactly what he said he would do and exactly when he said he would do it. If something didn't work, he fixed it. His crew was exemplary. Alvaro, Javier, and the whole Skill Effect team were incredible!…read more We had vinyl floors replaced with large format porcelain tiles and backsplash tiles added to the kitchen, both of which we had provided (many other companies only work with their own selected tiles). Every step of the way the prior home owner left surprises behind, such as old tiles under the vinyl, which Alvaro was able to provide solutions for. For the porcelain tiles we also decided to do the anti-fracture membrane for the concrete underneath and had the grout sealed between the tiles at the end, which I definitely recommend to protect the floors. Alvaro is extremely meticulous and a real artist at what he does. I wouldn't consider any other company for tile floors and walls, even if they were cheaper, because you would risk someone else doing it wrong and having to deal with headaches later on trying to fix. But I had to I write this review, because this was such a ridiculous experience. The job simply wasn't done right. As you can see from the pictures, the "finished product" is shoddy work. There's still stains on the grout and blue stains where the toilet leaked. When we did the initial walk through I took the service technician to the bathroom, and I told him that the blue stains were a major concern. He said, "Yes, ma'am we'll take care of that for you." At the end of the service, I went directly back to the blue stains, and he said, "No ma'am we won't be able to get that out. I'll have my wife message you with the name of a product that will fix that up for you." How absurd. I hired them to do the job so I didn't have to. I didn't hire them to give recommendations on how to do the job myself. (By the by, no one ever followed up with me to provide this recommendation). Even so, I paid them because they assured me that "there's no way to get the stains out without another treatment." The service was on Saturday. On Sunday, I realize just how bad of a job they did, as I was able to get the stain up myself using vinegar. This certainly pissed me off. I had to work, so when I got a chance on Monday to message them - I did. I wanted to give them an opportunity to fix. They refused because (1) I paid despite being dissatisfied - (well, what would you have me do? They're in my house assuring me no better job could have been done.); (2) I waited too long to message them about the problem (I told them during the walkthrough that they had failed to deliver the promised result, and I again messaged them a whole 48 hours later); (3) they said they did a larger area than anticipated (as if that somehow explains why they did a terrible job). Also, I expect a professional would adjust the pricing if the area was - in fact larger than original anticipated. I gave them the square footage and they gave me a quote. No one said anything before the service started; (4) They also said that because I hadn't gotten my grout cleaned for years that it couldn't get more clean than it was. As noted, I let vinegar sit and I got the stain up myself. I cannot believe how unreasonable this business was. Please review the pictures. These are the same pictures I showed the business when I asked them to make it right. Somehow they weren't embarrassed by this result and stood by their shoddy work. So be it. Here's your review.

They started and didn't stop until the last tile was set, which was unlike past experience with other contractors who would tear something out and then disappear for a week or more leaving us to live in a mess. His project manager was very responsive and helped me with so many things including negotiating a better price for my tile and getting me refunded on left over tile and trim. The trim guy did an amazing job and was lightening fast. The tile crew was very respectful and kept things as clean as possible during the project because we were living in our home during this project. They thoughtfully planned how to lay the tile, move appliances and pull toilets based on what we would need that night or over the weekend. I was working from home the entire project and it wasn't nearly as terrible as I thought it was going to be. Overall, the whole Granito crew went over and above what we expected. Our floors turned out amazing and the price was great! I will always call Jeremy for my tile projects and I'm grateful to have found a reliable, honest and helpful contractor.

What he said would take a month to redo my kitchen counters took 4.5 months, and then when they went to clean up once they finished, his worker dropped my kitchen light onto the counter and cracked it and REFUSED TO REPLACE IT. He tried to recharge me to replace the counter that his guys cracked. At first he said he was going to take care of everything and then started blaming everyone else and left me with a cracked counter. After going back on his word, he then had his office manager- his wife call me to tell me they were not going to replace it. Extremely u professional.
