He said he got that prescription because he had to have double hip surgery. I don't need to know your personal drama sadly you couldn't finish the work. You didn't want to pay your good Tiler to get this job done. You cannot work as good as your workers because my photos prove that.

I needed a shower re-grouted and sealed. We exchanged my needs, his proposal and he said he'd have a man there Monday morning. Monday Leo arrived on the hour and had everything he needed when I met him at the door. While there Leo pointed out small cracks and seams I had never noticed. As he walked out he described the proper maintenance cycle to optimize grout life. I settled the bill with Zelle. I don't know how old Randy is but I'm over 70. The tile in one bathroom was discolored, and he said it could be cleaned and sealed, and we needed tile flooring in our other bathroom replaced. Randy was friendly and approachable, and I planned to see how the smaller project went before hiring him for the larger project we needed tackled. Unfortunately, the experience was awful. A subcontractor/employee showed up on the agreed date to clean and seal the tile, and spent a couple of hours what sounded like physically scraping the tile - not what I expected. His coworker showed up a couple hours later, and told me that this plan was not going to work - that even if they could get the tile clean and seal it, the staining would come right back. He told me to have them leave, because Randy would still charge me for them being there. I went in the bathroom after they left, and it literally looked no different except there was dust everywhere - they did not clean up. I waited for a follow-up call or email from Randy - nothing. I was mad, but decided to put it behind me. A week later, I received a bill. I wrote a very frank email to Randy explaining my disappointment with the workers sent, the fact that no work was even done, and my confusion that he didn't even bother contacting me afterward. He apologized profusely and said he would follow up with me the next day. He did not follow up with me about the work, ever. But I have still been getting bills from this company!! I have emailed him multiple times, and he's told me to ignore them, but that is not an acceptable response - every time I see one of these emails, I am newly angry about the time I wasted on this endeavor. I gave him plenty of time and opportunity to make this right, and he did not even bother to try. I am writing this review because once again, I have gotten an invoice for this "work". Would not recommend.

Ivan responded extremely quickly to our request for a bid, took the time to come to our home after finishing another job, and gave a very competitive price. The most impressive part is that he was willing to start on the project the very next day! While he was there to view the potential tile project, we asked whether he could also repair a water-damaged ceiling in our other bathroom. (The cause of the leak had already been repaired--we just needed someone to address the damaged ceiling.) Ivan assured us both jobs could be done on the same day. The price for the ceiling repair was even reduced slightly because he said they were already going to be there working on the tiles. Ivan and Manuel arrived on time the next morning, worked very quickly and efficiently throughout the entire day, and got both jobs done by late afternoon. The precision and care taken with the tile and grout installation showed off Ivan's extensive training to master that trade! Manuel's work in the other bathroom was almost magical! Not only did he get the damaged area replaced, mudded, and sanded, but he repainted the entire ceiling so there would not be any visible "evidence" that he'd had to repair any specific area. It was amazing to walk into the room at the end of the workday and barely be able to determine where he'd repaired! It looked that good! Between their amazing workmanship, Ivan's fast and clear communication, and the overall quality of their work, we will definitely be keeping Ivan and 787 Dream Construction on speed dial for any other projects that we may want (or need!) to do in our home!

HIRING THEIR SERVICE: I searched around for quotes on getting a relatively small backsplash installation in our kitchen, and Eric from priority Tile came back to us timely and thoroughly given my initial questions, which included asking for a recommendation of how many tiles to buy, since we're not sure how much square footage would be needed. I found Eric very responsive, patient, and thorough in his answers to me which was really helpful. We set up a time, and when something came up for us, Eric was very gracious and flexible to reschedule. INSTALLATION: On the day of installation, they arrived on time and waited as I tried to figure out whether the tiles that I received were the correct ones. Once that was sorted they began work. They were thorough, and also very neat. The subway tile that we wanted in our backsplash was installed very cleanly and also cut precisely around the nooks and crannies in the space.
