After a brief back and forth, Randy came over to my house to assess the work I needed done on existing tile. The tile in one bathroom was discolored, and he said it could be cleaned and sealed, and we needed tile flooring in our other bathroom replaced. Randy was friendly and approachable, and I planned to see how the smaller project went before hiring him for the larger project we needed tackled. Unfortunately, the experience was awful. A subcontractor/employee showed up on the agreed date to clean and seal the tile, and spent a couple of hours what sounded like physically scraping the tile - not what I expected. His coworker showed up a couple hours later, and told me that this plan was not going to work - that even if they could get the tile clean and seal it, the staining would come right back. He told me to have them leave, because Randy would still charge me for them being there. I went in the bathroom after they left, and it literally looked no different except there was dust everywhere - they did not clean up. I waited for a follow-up call or email from Randy - nothing. I was mad, but decided to put it behind me. A week later, I received a bill. I wrote a very frank email to Randy explaining my disappointment with the workers sent, the fact that no work was even done, and my confusion that he didn't even bother contacting me afterward. He apologized profusely and said he would follow up with me the next day. He did not follow up with me about the work, ever. But I have still been getting bills from this company!! I have emailed him multiple times, and he's told me to ignore them, but that is not an acceptable response - every time I see one of these emails, I am newly angry about the time I wasted on this endeavor. I gave him plenty of time and opportunity to make this right, and he did not even bother to try. I am writing this review because once again, I have gotten an invoice for this "work". I was in a state of shock at how they were able to get the job done for a reasonable price and I gave them very little lead time to schedule and right before the holidays. I called Randy two days before to inquire and he had Leo and crew scheduled asap so the project could be finished on my timeline. My review is extremely late. I thought I posted it! I worked with Randy 3 years ago with a bathroom remodel. I had a shower pan link, and unfortunately, it required a lot of demolition since the tiles I have aren't in production anymore. This shower leak required a total remodel. Randy gave me the best quote out of many vendors. Some vendors flat out refused the job after seeing the scale. Randy was confident his crew was able to handle the job, and they executed perfectly. We hired Wilshire Tile to repair cracking grout. Initially, Randy provided an estimate based on photos of the situation. After another vendor suggested a cause for the cracking, Randy had Leo come out to do an in-person assessment. He confirmed the same cause for the cracking and recommended a solution, which was naturally more work than the initial estimate (as it couldn't be known from photos alone). Leo and his helper were prompt, courteous, and maintained a clean workspace. Should we need assistance with tile work in the future, we will definitely be repeat customers. read more

Wilshire Tile does excellent work. We've used them three times. 1. They Replaced a shower pan and retiled the shower floor. Excellent job. 2. In a different shower job that might have required a very expensive shower pan replacement due to marble walls, Randy figured out a less expensive solution that solved the problem. Very happy. 3. Due to normal home shifting bathroom wall tiles in our master bathroom developed cracks in both wall tiles and shower wall tiles, Randy's team replaced them and re-grouted to look new again. I was getting estimates for a project and every company that I called did not want to give me pricing over the phone. If they did they gave me ballparks that were ridiculous. With a new tenant moving in I had to replace a 72 x 32 100 year old tile floor landing area quickly. Randy runs the place. He secured the red quarry tile in 6 x 6 and maintained a friendly professional attitude. His crew showed up early and moved fast completing in 3 sessions. A powder room full tile floor replacement wasn't done this run so instead they offered cleaning and patching of the tiny 100 year old blue and white tiles. Both jobs are beautiful. A small portion of my bathroom floor was damaged and most companies I called weren't interested in a small job or immediately tried to sell me up to an entire new floor.
