One of my favorite all time chain donuts is the maple stuffed donut from Timmy Ho's. I have had...a lot...I mean a lot of donuts in my life and this is firmly like top 3 from a chain. When I found out that I could grab some while watching some hockey at the PPL center it was an absolute game changer for me. I eventually found out that (especially in the morning call club) the PPL center has some other very good food too, but I always come back to Timmy for my fix. I can't say much for the ambiance here because I have never actually used the outside door and come during normal hours. I have had stuff here 4 times now and each time was during a hockey game so naturally the lines are long and they're running around like crazy in the back. They are definitely at least still friendly while trying to keep up with the masses. read more

Was excited to come here with my friend, the two employees working at this specific time ( that I'm writing this review) were not rude but just very (yes ) (no ) (that's it?) . I perfer Tim Hortons over any other coffee shop chain. However its hard to visit during open Hours of 7am-2pm Monday -Friday. Minus 1 star because i ordered an egg english muffin and it literaly was a boiled egg squished down instead of an egg pattie. Was caught of guard to say the least. read more

First, I LOOOVE Tim Hortons and was so excited that one was literally under our hotel. We had to leave really early, but lo and behold both Google and Yelp listed the hours as opening at 6 am on weekdays. Well guess what, not open until 8 by which point I need to be at least an hour away. I understand staffing issues, but PLEASE, update your hours regularly so your die hard fans don't waste their time. read more

No entrance without ticket during hockey games! That's what I get for just checking google and yelp. So we literally decided to make a day out of coming up from DC to find the nearest full-service Tim Hortons because we love it. After driving around seeing sights in Harrisburg and Hershey we finally made it to downtown Allentown JUST for this. Lots of very shady people hanging around the desolate streets and also street parking was pretty difficult. And there was a hockey game going on for the local minor league Lehigh Valley Phantoms team. The Tim Hortons looks like it's separate from the arena, but unfortunately the doors are locked during games. I get it because the dining room has a direct entrance to the game, but it seems like this should be better advertised, and also seems like it could be done differently. I seriously, SERIOUSLY considered buying two tickets for the game just to get in. But ultimately couldn't bring myself to do it. That's an expensive cup of coffee. So, ended up driving all the way back to Harrisburg and on to Duncannon to get Tim Hortons at a lousy gas station (seriously, it was just premade self-serve carafes) but it was surprisingly good, so my mission was not an entire failure. Next time I may use Tim Hortons as an excuse to see scenic West Virginia instead (Morgantown)! If anyone has a tip for a non-military-base Timmies that's nearby or closer to DC, send me a message! read more

THE WORST STAFF EVER!!! So I'm at the Cedar Crest College for graduation - and went to go get a cup of coffee to sip on . 1) First off - STORE FRONT in PPL is atrocious ! Granted there are people here but there are wrappers / straws / trash littering the floor and corners . Chairs and tables are askew and not pushed in and or in the walk way . 2) they have signs posted as to " where the line starts " which is slightly confusing because they're small signs and if you don't see them ( most people are walking with heads in phones these days ) you'll miss the line - then forming a "this is where I'm standing - so this is a line " clog with other customers are milling in looking for " the line" . 3) The Staff then will realize there is a backup and clog of humans in the WRONG line - then proceed to YELL at you and point and wave arms wildly as to where the "real line starts" . THERE IS NO ORGANIZATION . 4) Staff is all flustered , too many cooks in the kitchen , no one is listening to each other and to be honest it's like watching a chicken fight because all the do is squawk at each other - no one knows what order is next / numbers jumping from 180 to 250 - customers don't know where to wait for items - CAUSING ANOTHER LINE WHICH NEW CUSTOMERS GET BEHIND !!! 5) coffee tastes like shit ... after all of that read more

Today was my first visit to Tim Horton's. It was very worthwhile going out of our way during a snowstorm just for the coffee and a bagel belt (bacon, egg, lettuce, and tomato). Overall terrible experience. From customer service to food complementary supplies such as sugar and even napkins, which is the most basic form of decency towards the guest a food establishment should have. In addition, the food was simply horrendous, both dry and tasteless. Some sauce spilled on the table and due to their lack of customer accessible napkins and customer service, I had to clean it with a piece of the bag my food came in. They have been open for a month now so you would think they got it together...not so much. The donuts are good but the cream in the Boston creme is better at Dunkin'. There was no event at PPL today but they had 4 employees who confused each other and let the napkin dispenser run empty. They best part was watching them try to put paper towels in it. Oh geez. Decent food and dooughnuts, but their coffee should be sent packing. I go here quite often as it's across from my office. Their sandwiches are good, and the warm chips are a nice touch. The service is a bit slow. I pay with my Tim Card, and only one of the registers reads my app on my phone. EVERY SINGLE TIME I've been in there when I get my order they've forgotten something. Loved getting their Keurig coffee pods and beans for afternoons and weekends (Tim's is only accessible with a hockey ticket during home games on evenings and weekends; almost worth the price of a ticket just for access to Tim Hortons imo) when they're not open. Some of the Best coffee served here, especially their iced but their hot coffee tastes great, too. Also a fan of their waffle sandwich that melts in your mouth and has a crunchy goodness to round out the sweet waffle flavor. Really hope they consider opening on evenings and weekends regularly although I'm not holding my breath as they've been here awhile and this hasn't happened yet. At 4pm weekdays, It leaves a large lack of a nice casual coffee, 2-4 flavors of ice cream by Yuengling (the brewery company in Pennsylvania) , free Wi-Fi and moderately priced food options for all non-hockey evenings and weekends in downtown Allentown. read more

I love Timmy's and was thrilled to see one while in town for business recently. And although it's not huge, it is a full service one. They actually serve Tim's coffee in the Wells Fargo arena in Philly, at least they did for awhile. And they had a mini stand inside Xfinity Live in Philly as well. So, as far as I know,this is the closest full Tim's restaurant to Philly. I'm from the Philly area, and the next closest one I think is close to Syracuse (and not very good). Anyway, they had a decent selection of donuts and Timbits and most of the regular menu items. The Maple glazed donuts and Timbits seemed fresh enough, even at 3pm. Coffee was very good too. As a Canadian living in Allentown, I was over-the-moon thrilled when I saw Timmy's coming to town! I don't get there often, as it is downtown and I live outside the general downtown area...but if I do get down there, it's Iced Cap all the way! If they do bring in their chili in a bread bowl, I'll make a special trip downtown! The coffee and the service are generally what you go for...the donuts are good. When I arrived I was quickly asked what I wanted. When I said they needed a minute to decide, they were okay with this. When I was ready to order the staff was too busy talking to and arguing with each other to take my order. This went on for literally two minutes. I swiped my credit card to pay for my order, waited a minute, and then the young lady waiting on me loudly said, "your card has been declined." Very discrete, NOT! By the way, when I re-swiped the same card, it was just fine. At no point either when I placed my order or when I picked it up was I thanked for my business nor did I ever feel as though my business was appreciated or desired. Starbucks is less than a block away. No decision on where I will give my business to the next time that I am in this area. read more

I come here occasionally because I work near by. I suppose that I am dissapointed because I'm so used to the Tim Hos in Canada. This one failed to deliver. They always seem to be out of stuff and the girls who always ring me up are a little rude, but the girls doing the majority of the work and prepping the food are nice. They need to switch places. I haven't been to this tim hortons before but from reading the comments no one seems to like it. I have been to one in Canada before and I can promise it is so much better and you will like it so much more. So if you are in this area and go in and aren't happy with it then if you are ever in Canada please try it again. You'll get the real deal. read more

Their donuts are good, but I was not convinced they were better than DD, until I tasted the Nutella pockets which are so good they are positively sinful. Seriously, I feel like I should go to confession afterwards. I am not a fan of the NE coffee bean, so it took me awhile to adjust to the difference in local coffee. However, what no one in downtown Allentown can beat them at, is being so personable that one does not mind the occasional line, or confusion in order. They get to know you and what you like and look for ways to demonstrate that they are looking out for you, from saving the last nutella pocket for the the customer they know always comes in late, to greeting you with a smile and a hello. Single-handedly they are out to change the stereo-type of the unfriendly North Easterner. I have never met such warm and friendly people. read more

Please fix the long lines during Phantom games. In order to get a drink you will miss the beginning of the next period. Also, please fix hot water for tea... We order two teas and the 2nd one is never hot.... You are wasting money remaking the 2nd one every time instead of fixing the machine. read more
