    All the baked goodies

Being from Boise, all we have is our local coffee shops, Starbucks and Dutch Brothers. Since we are on the east coast, I have been able to try Dunkin' and now Tim Hortons since these aren't fun options for us in our neck of the woods. This little coffee stand in the airport had quite a few options for breakfast sammy, donuts and drinks. The donuts looked really good but i passed on them today. I just really wanted to try their coffee. I see their drinks all over Tik Tok so of course I had to get one. I'm going to be brutally honest, I felt confused when I ordered an iced mocha. To me, an iced mocha is your basic chocolate, milk and espresso shot. So when I ordered an iced mocha with the cashier and she asked me if I wanted milk it was quite confusing. And to make matters worse, the "trainer" decided to educate me and let me know mocha means chocolate. I chuckled and went along with it. Nothing like being belittled while you're ordering the most basic drink. I got my small iced mocha with milk. I can't believe I paid 4 bucks for this thing. The coffee was so watered down. You can barely taste the chocolate and I got a little milk in my drink. I honestly could have gotten a better drink by buying a Starbucks frap that they sell at the gas station for 4 bucks. I was so pumped to try a drink from this joint. But the service and the product totally killed it for me. My husband did enjoy his apple juice but how can you f up pre packaged apple juice? I'm happy I'm heading home to my local coffee joints, Starbys and Dutch. I'm cool on Tim Hortons. This whack coffee is marked off my to do list.

I had meant to try Tim's when we were in Niagara Falls and didn't so I got the chance at the airport. Easy self ordering at the kiosk and the food came quick. Pretty decent food and good coffee.

Acceptable sandwiches and burritos but poor pastries! Good for quick come and go ordering which is completed at a separate location across from the food displays and pick up. This is great for reducing long waits during busy moments but the kiosk machines are not easy for everyone. The machine also do not provide orders with all of the options. I ordered the grilled burrito (sounds healthy but that just means grilled tortilla marks). This could come in bacon or sausage versions and the kiosk does not allow you to choose this. I also purchased a bottle of water and a honey cruller. I hurried to the food area to specify that I wanted bacon. I could imagine when it gets busy this could be problematic. I also had to ask if I should grab my water myself since they had a cooler in front. Again, when busy this could be problematic. The burrito was actually very good and had a helpful case to hold it with. The cruller was a bust. It was soggy in the inside and there was not sweet taste even though it looked coated in sugar. One staff member was friendly and one was not.

A super awesome spot to get some amazing breakfast food and coffee. The egg and cheese sandwich was super tasty. The donuts were all very sweet and had great flavor! Be sure to get the coffee as well, super good! Staff wasn't the best but it was early in the morning

ABSOLUTELY ZERO STARS. Unfreaking believable. The lack of integrity of these employees is an embarrassment and completely unacceptable. At 7:10 pm, I ordered a large lemonade. I guess the cashier misheard me as she handed me a large latte and charged me $5. I reiterated that i ordered a large lemonade and not a large latte. After she re made my order I inquired about the clear price difference between a large latte and a large lemonade. A FULL $2. As I pointed to the very menu behind her head showing the clear price difference, she continued to INSIST that the prices were the same and "that was an old menu". Yeah ok. I then got off the line and stood to the side to pull up the tim hortons app which very clearly shared the same prices as the "old" menu behind the cashier. I went back up to her and asked the employee next to her about the price difference between a large lemonade and a large latte. Knowing there was a difference, he kindly got the manager as little miss liar stood silently on the side. The manager gave me a refund for the latte i never ordered (and yet was charged for) as I informed her that her employee just tried to hoodwink me as if i was an idiot. The refund receipt said the cashier's name was dexter but I never caught her name myself as her tag was flipped during our interaction. Regardless, what should have been an easy transaction became something much more incredibly sinister. Shame on you Dexter.

First thing in the morning (7:00am) the lineup was long, perhaps 30 people long. They only had one person at cash, but later a friendly gentleman also started taking orders. There was a great selection of donuts and muffins. I ordered a small and medium coffee but they got the order wrong, gave me two smalls instead of one medium and one small. The guy making the coffees remade one, once I pointed out the mistake, and no apology was provided. Coffee was good.

I would give this place a 1 if the donuts weren't delicious...I went around 11am on a Tuesday and they were out of a ton of items. I asked if they had a black coffee without sugar and the server said yes but then gave me coffee with sugar and milk. The servers were incredibly rude when I tried to ask questions and said the order was wrong. I got the biscuit with egg and bacon and the ingredients were good but the meal was not super hot. The donuts were delicious so if you're coming here - I wouldn't plan to order anything but the donuts. My favorite was the funfetti one!

Tim Hortons + 5:30AM + Being at the airport = breakfast of champions. I had an early morning flight from Buffalo to Chicago on Saturday and needed some fuel to get my sleepy body going. What was the cure you ask? A frozen watermelon lemonade and a maple sausage waffle sandwich thing that I forgot the actual name of, but real recognize real, right? The frozen lemonade was tasty and I've always been a big fan of these. The sandwich was tasty and way more filling then I could of expected, big props on the unique flavour the maple added to it. Overall, this is an airport Tim Horton's, you know what you are getting when you come here. Thanks for taking care of me bright and early!

Just as I was about to go in the place must have caught fire. Yikes! A man was leaving the bakery with as many loaves of bread as he could carry. I investigated. Sure enough, the store was filled with firemen. I couldn't get in. It turns out the firemen were buying a lot of baked goods. Whew! And the guy carrying all the loaves of bread was a caterer. He bought 50 loaves of Luigi's delicious bread. He explained he was catering a 50th wedding anniversary, and the celebrants wanted a loaf of Luigi's bread for each of their 50 years. I'm not kidding! I bought only 4 loves of bread. They were out of my favorite - sesame seeded Italian so I had to go with plain. They have a trick with their bread. They don't use preservatives, so you have to eat it within 2 days and then go back for more. It's a trap! They were out of almond and poppy seed strudel thingys, so I settled for apple, blueberry and cherry. I tried the lemon cake and it's great. But my favorite thing was the almond cake. Absolutely dreamy. It didn't make it home because I stopped at a friend's house on the way home to share some. All I got was just one slice. And I ate that before I had a chance to take its picture.

Inside, along with a nice size seating area to eat and bakery ordering line, they have ready made baked goods throughout many different bakery cases and fridges, as well as pre-packaged options. Everything from kringles to cookies and scones to cupcakes and full custom cakes. I had read about legendary cinnamon scones and have been a huge scone kick (especially cinnamon!), so I had to try them. Not only do they make cinnamon though, they take a unique approach to their fruit scones by filling them with fruit jelly, so of course I tried a lemon blueberry filled scone too. The filled ones are better in theory than practice. The lemon flavor of the dough was almost nonexistent and the blueberry jam didn't spread well enough to help out the other lacking flavors. The cinnamon scone absolutely could have potential, but unfortunately mine was overly hard and crumbly - I wish I had asked for a specific, newer and lesser-baked one, but such is life :)

Cuccidati Inc. had a booth at the event ... and they had me at the word "cuccidati". :-D LOVE these cookies! If you are unfamiliar, cuccidati are iced-and-sprinkled fig-filled Italian cookies. They're like a soft, delectable, gourmet, top-shelf, high-class, prettier Fig Newton, but way better, haha. Whenever I see an Italian cookie spread at a gathering, I always b-line for dibbs on the cuccidati. And Cuccidati Inc.'s cuccidati did not disappoint! These were a bit different from cuccidati I've had before. They weren't quite as sweet, not as thick-white of an icing as usual. And the filling seemed more natural, like more purely fig, as opposed to the more artificial extract flavor of some cuccidati. I do like the creamier cuccidati filling I'm used to, with more of a jam consistency. But these were good too, you could feel chewy bits of real fig fruit in each bite. If you prefer a cookie that isn't too rattle-your-teeth-sweet, you will probably enjoy Cuccidati Inc.'s cookies very much. We spoke with the owners when we were at the fresh-air market, and they were very sweet and friendly. They of course bake their namesake, but also bake many other cookies too. They don't have their own storefront, they sell by order, or at local venues and events. They are on the shelves at Buffalo Artisan Food Traders (https://www.yelp.com/biz/buffalo-artisan-food-traders-buffalo), so if you have a hankering for some delicious cuccidati, stop by there to grab a pack. Or check Cuccidati Inc.'s Facebook page for other upcoming local appearances - https://www.facebook.com/cuccidati.org - and mangia! :-D
