Service suffers on weekends. They just throw everything together sloppy to get you out.

As someone who doesn't have to eat gluten-free, I'm incredibly thankful this place exists for my…read moremom, and everyone else navigating celiac disease or gluten sensitivities. First of all... homemade gluten-free Detroit-style pizza?! I honestly can't think of anywhere else around here doing that. Let's be real: it's not going to fool anyone into thinking it's traditional Detroit-style pizza. The crust is a little grainier, but that's the tradeoff, not a dealbreaker. The toppings stole the show with a slightly sweet sauce and pep that had those crispy, charred edges. My mom also grabbed one of their gluten-free sea salt chocolate chunk cookies. Pro tip: leave it on top of the warm pizza box during the drive home. By the time she got to my house, the chocolate was gloriously melty as if it came right out of the oven. Ordering online was quick and easy, and everything was ready when promised. Yes, it's pricier than your average pizza, but when you're getting something this unique that you can't just pick up anywhere or make at home, it's absolutely worth it. Safe to say, my mom has found her new pizza spot. And she's already counting down the days until they return to the Erie County Fair.

They got started at the erie county fair and have expanded since and I am so excited they are! I ordered a dozen donuts a few months ago and they were outstanding. I wish I would have gotten them on peanut donut day, as they only do those every other time for nut allergies. Boston cream was my favorite. When you order from the food truck, it is pre order at most places and you choose a time. Make sure you show up on time. If you show up before, you will wait. The first time I ordered hot bbq chicken fingers and a cheese pizza. Outstanding. The fingers were like gluten riddled fingers. Delicious! And the breading didn't fall off. The cheese pizza is like a Detroit style. It is so so good. The second time I ordered i got fries, which are fresh cut wonderfully seasoned fries, and the cheese pizza. I cant wait to try more flavors of pizza. This is a great place!

They were that good and on our minds after our initial visit. Both times we visited the location was busy and we had to wait in a small line. Service is very efficient and they take care of you quickly once you're at the counter. All of the donuts we ordered were perfect. One of the kids got a limited edition burger donut with proceeds being donated to the local Ronald McDonald house. It was a very inventive donut with glazed donuts as the burger buns, half a chocolate glazed as the burger patty, and different creams making up the cheese and condiments. So unique and for a good cause! Indoor seating is available which we took advantage of, as we could not wait to enjoy our donuts. I wish we lived close by as we would be regulars. I feel the donuts are fairly priced for the quality. Expect to pay more than your local Dunkin or Tim Hortons, but you can also expect the quality is way better. Fresh homemade donuts can't be beat.

Paula's Donuts helped heal me after surgery - seriously. But first, a few words about the best…read moredonuts in the United States. I feel confident that statement is true. These are not featherweight, boring, drive thru chain donuts that never fail to disappoint. The box says they are "made with love" and while I certainly hope the bakers and makers are not oozing affection for the creations as they do their job (because that would get weird right?), the recipes and standards of ultra high quality that this unique WNY establishment has sure shows a respect and appreciation for their customers. The dough is light and never greasy tasting. The cream fillings are also fluffy and airy and melt in your mouth. Jellies are all top notch and let me be clear, the donuts are packed full with whatever is inside. Or on top. The headlights are incredible. Peanut butter offerings (several to choose from) are stellar. I'm not sure if the chocolate icing is a ganache but it seems much more like a ganache than the lousy, dried out icing you might find at places we need not mention. Staff are always courteous, polite and fast. I think each donut is going for about $2.30 but well worth it for the size and quality. A box of 3 is heavy to hold. You get a lot of donut for your buck. I've been on a Paula's kick for a couple months, stopping in when appropriate for my donut desires but trying to be mindful of my waistline. I like to sit down and really enjoy every bite. These are not ordinary donuts, they are an experience to savor. But how do Paula's donuts help one recover from surgery? It's about what you might do with them. My friend picked me up and brought me home after the hospital and slyly produced a bag of donuts for me, which I sat down and ate the minute I walked in the door. The unexpected gesture of something I've been enjoying a lot lately certainly took my mind off any discomfort. Nice friend, right? Part of recovery is having supportive friends and family and I'm glad I've got that. And I'm glad I also got a bag of donuts to make a "rough day" a lot better. So, Paula's people - I haven't tried them all yet so I guess I'm going to have to return. (Image is different donuts from a different day.)

I love cannoli's in general, but let's face it the worst part is the hard shell, well Sweet Ally's takes care of that for you, putting it inside a delicious donut! Reasonable pricing too! I may or may not be a little obsessed but they are so good! For weeks I keep meaning to take a picture, but I never remember before devouring them! They only make them on Sundays, but if it is a different day, stop by and enjoy their other selection of donuts, baked goods and candy. This time of year is the perfect time to visit, as right behind them Oakfield has a wonderful Christmas light up Wonderland, and across the street they have 100 decorated Christmas trees! Make it a day trip out to Sweet Ally's you won't be disappointed!

If you can get past the bad service, I'd recommend the apple fritters, they were good. Also the chocolate frosting with white cream was good and worth the calories. Just don't call it "Angel cream" or the owner will remind you that "only Paula's calls it that."
