Ice cream tasted good but $6.00 per cone was pretty steep for the size and the fact the cone wasn't filled with ice cream.

But honestly? The moment you walk in, none of that matters. The smell is pure bliss! You're immediately hit with the aroma of fresh cones baking, and you're surrounded by ice cream made right there. It's a small space, packed with a lot of people, but the line moved surprisingly well. The servers are extraordinarily patient and kind, which is even more impressive considering it was a hot July Tuesday. They do have a limit on samples, and I actually think that's a great thing... it keeps the line moving and makes people more deliberate about what they want to try. Once we sat down, we had some of the most delicious ice cream I've ever tasted in my life. We even took some pints home, and it was just as delicious there as it was in the shop. Completely recommend! We'll be back.

Then two different people recommended it to me on the same day, so I knew it was a sign and I'm so glad I went! I love that they offer multiple rotating seasonal flavors along with affordable gluten-free options. The staff was friendly and helpful, the portions were fair for the price, and the shop was very clean. They also have a cute outdoor seating area that makes it a great spot to enjoy your ice cream. And don't forget to bring your pups, they're dog-friendly too!

The quality is incredible and the mix-ins are so generous, no skimping here. This round we tried the Orangey Eggnog Stracciatella and the Oreo Brownie Cake. Christian absolutely nailed the cozy, Christmasy vibes with the eggnog flavor. I already know I'll be craving this one every winter. And the Oreo Brownie Cake? Come on... the name alone is tempting, but it delivers. Think fudgy brownie swirls, big chunks of Oreos, and pure chocolatey goodness in every scoop. Basically heaven in a pint. Worth every single penny. And even better when you share it with someone who also has a sweet tooth.

I'll be honest, I've been putting off ordering a few pints because I didn't want to make the effort/time for picking it up. Thanks to a dear friend, a fellow Yelp Elite, I've FINALLY had the opportunity to try some pints, and holy smokes, Living the Cream is phenomenal! Note that in to order flavors, you'll want to follow "livingthecream_" on Instagram, "living_the_cream_" on Facebook, which showcases any new flavors being crafted and hosts the link to place your order. I tried two flavors: Oreo Brownie Smash and Orangey Eggnog Stracciatella. Oreo Brownie Smash is Oreo cookie ice cream with brownie batter swirls, Oreo cookies & cream cookie dough, and half-baked brownies and Orangey Eggnog Stracciatella is spiced eggnog ice cream infused with Jim Beam and Platter's dark orange chocolate stracciatella. Just. WOW! Absolutely no complaints, each was bursting with flavor and packed with so many mix-ins. I loved finding huge Oreo cookies & cream cookie dough chunks and just how chocolatey Oreo Brownie Smash was thanks to all the brownie bits swirled in. The Orangey Eggnog Stracciatella had the creamy, comforting flavor of eggnog with a nice nip of Jim Beam that let you know it was there but never overpowering. The crunchy bits of the dark orange chocolate stracciatella cut through all the creaminess, only elevating the ice cream overall. Opening both pints, I was super impressed how jam-packed they were - It took a bit of effort to get the lids off, the pint was on the cusp of overflowing! So I didn't order these pints so I can't give you the most accurate pricing info, but after trying a couple flavors, I'm happy to order a few pints myself without thinking too much about the cost. I'm really glad Living the Cream is out here, churning up amazing ice cream flavors for Buffalo! As a few other Yelp reviews mention, make a little room in your freezer and treat yo'self to a couple pints of some of the creamiest, mix-in full ice cream you'll ever have!

This recent experience with the food was a little less great and the prices are obviously going to be even higher nowadays. I ordered the same thing I got last time because I really enjoyed it...the fish sandwich. Matt opted for a Sahlen's Italian sausage with onions and peppers. No fries or drink for either of us, but we did get a pint of the Perry's peanut butter swirl in vanilla because we haven't seen it at the grocery store. The fish sandwich was kind of sad looking. It comes plain now, but they'll add tartar sauce for you if you ask. I added cheese, too. It tasted pretty good, no complaints really, but the quality to price ratio is off...it's $10.79 if you opt for cheese. It's just not worth that to me. Matt liked his Italian sausage, although the link was quite short. And of course the ice cream is delicious! The customer service was really great, too. The ladies there were very friendly and helpful. Our total for two items and a pint came to $29.71. Looking at it all together when I took the photo, I just don't feel like it's a good value. Overall, maybe we'll go once a year or so for some Perry's...but I think we'll skip the food. It's definitely not bad, it's just not good for the price. If that doesn't bother you, I recommend you try them out! It's just not for me.

Also many people waiting to pick up orders, so the front was also too busy for getting pix. Another thing I would recommend is sitting at table instead of booth. We sat in a booth. The problem with the booths, or at least the first booth from door, is either the seats are too low or the table is too high. Terrific fish fry: haddock with two sides. Loved the light breading on this. Also available is the Buffalo classic fish fry-- beer battered and fried, standard sides... fries, Cole slaw, mac salad. Very interesting menu. Inviting. So I will be accepting the invitation to come back for the Portside (lobster sandwich), and for the seafood fries. More reviews to follow. Very personable employees, enjoyable decor. Music a tad loud, and incongruous. I read a review from last year that described the music, though also too loud, as R&B. That sounds just right. Maybe dance music gets people to eat faster, desirable for quicker table turnover. There were people waiting for tables as we left. Only negative for me was thin ranch dressing and thin tartar sauce.

He is amazing! I've been wanting to try the seafood fries, and while the flavor was spot on, there was a noticeable lack of seafood. I doubt I would have that again.
