Stopped in for a working lunch on a Monday and had a great experience. The salad was fresh, colorful, and served with warm pita bread, perfect for slopping up every last bit of dressing. We also shared the black bean dip with fried pita chips, which made for a fun and tasty appetizer. Service was exceptionally friendly, and the staff made us feel right at home. This spot is tucked away in a plaza and easy to overlook, but it's definitely worth seeking out. Be sure to check out the daily specials, too. Bonus tip: If you're considering the chicken salad, order it! A friend shared their copycat recipe with me, and the cashews add such a fantastic texture.

The menu has lots of vegetarian options, and many of the desserts are listed as gluten free. The French onion soup broth was delicious, even if the onions were only translucent and not caramelized. The ingredient that did not square with me were the croutons of seeded rye. Maybe a mistake? The color scheme is purple walls with grey baffles. The noise-abatement measures are somewhat nullified by the volume of the overhead speakers playing late 80's/ early 90's British Wave. (Spandau Ballet, anyone?) The waitresses were lovely, and worked well as a team.

I think this might be one of my favorite restaurants for taking a family in the Buffalo area! They…read morehave a menu filled with variety (but not overwhelming), plenty of different dining areas, and I especially love sitting outside in the summertime. The service was superb. Christina was one of the kindest, most genuine waitresses I've had in a long time. Their kids' menu prices have to be the same as they were at least five years ago, just $5, including a drink and a side. You really can't beat that! I was torn between their corned beef and chicken fingers, so I secured that I could get a finger from a shared meal and then ordered the Mother Superior. I substituted grilled sourdough since I'm not a fan of Kimmelweck seeds. This sandwich was loaded with tender corned beef and absolutely delicious with the melty Swiss, creamy Russian dressing, and lightly cooked red onions. We also ordered Combo #2 to share, which has several Buffalo favorites: chicken fingers, wings, beef on weck, and waffle fries. It was a LOT of food for a very reasonable price. My boys said the wings were amazing and perfectly crispy. There were plenty of waffle fries to share, and the chicken tenders were nice and crispy too. The kids loved their meals: mozzarella sticks, boneless wings, and chicken tenders. The fries were just okay, but when you have a vessels of blue cheese and a salt grinder on the table, you know they're going to be just fine. And then there's dessert... Very smart marketing to have a display of their homemade desserts right on the table! Our waitress mentioned that everything is made by their pastry chef, so of course we had to order a couple. We went with the pistachio cheesecake and peanut butter pie. The peanut butter pie was so smooth and creamy, and the kids loved the cookie crust and puddle of chocolate sauce. One of them actually said it was too much peanut butter. I had no idea there was such a thing! The pistachio cheesecake had a cake bottom with a thick, rich layer of cheesecake on top. We really liked the addition of lemon, it added a nice freshness to balance everything out. I absolutely love this spot and highly recommend it to anyone looking for good food, a great atmosphere, and reasonable prices. Oh, and there's a popcorn machine in the bar area, which the kids made approximately 17 trips to.

Monday lunch with friends, there were eight of us and we were seated in the room I would consider…read morethe sun room. We were the only ones in the room so it was great to be as loud as we wanted without disturbing anyone. They have a large parking lot but it can be easy to miss since it's by one of the roundabout's. I had the Beef on Weck wrap. Asked our waitress about it since it's been a while since I was there. She said it was one of the newer items and is very popular. The beef is wrapped in a flour tortilla with provolone, creamy horseradish, salt & caraway seeds & finished in a panini press. It comes with chips and a pickle but I upgraded to fries. My choices were straight cut, waffle or sweet potato so I opted for waffle fries. I would definitely order it again. Everyone enjoyed their food, too busy talking to take pics but some of their options were the beer cheddar soup, corned beef quesadilla, burger, chicken sandwich, roast beef on white bread with mashed potatoes & gravy. Their rye bread is baked in-house and you can purchase it just like one of my friends did.
