I've been here multiple times in the past and have had no issues. Three times in the last three weeks my wife and I have ordered iced caps. Every single one has had a soap taste like they left the cleaner soap mix in the machine. Absolutely disgusting. This is a newer Tim Horton's. We went through the drive-thru for a coffee and a smoothie. The cashier told us she was out of the orange smoothie, so we just got the coffee -- medium with one cream and one sugar. After pulling out of the driveway and Jacob tried his coffee, he said it sucked and we can never go back to this Tim Horton's. He said they put more like four sugars in the coffee. Sausage instead of bacon, plain cream cheese instead of strawberry, on a croissant instead of a bagel. And cream cheese is not supposed to be spread so thin that it's transparent, like butter!! Horrible service long wait every time I come here the workers are dressed very poorly and unprofessional went on one occasion and seen someone in slippers. Sat at the drive thru over 10 mins with 3 cars behind me. Blew the horn multiple times, had to go to the door, no one inside though it says 24 hrs. There was a sign posted on the door with a phone number. Door was chained closed. I called the number & guy says they haven't been 24 hrs for over 3 months. I know that's not true. My boyfriend and I always come to this Tim Hortons. The last time we came, we used his debit card. We left and they didn't give it back. That's on us, that's our fault for not remembering to grab it. But we got home, and my boyfriend got a notification that his card had been used on a clothing site. My bf almost went into negative in his bank account because of how much was used. We called Tim Hortons, told them, they did absolutely nothing. They said our card was put into the back room, but when we got there to pick it up (we didn't say when we would be coming) the card was still sitting in the cash register. moral of the story, a worker used our card to purchase something online. 5 stars for being a Tims that is NOT permanently closed like too many others have become :( People take for granted that Tim Hortons is NOT anywhere south of Mich/Ohio and it is a real treat for me personally and I get excited whenever I get a delivery up around these parts where "Timmy" Lives!!! I devour my egg and cheese on Asiago bagel like a champ and then fill my glutinous desire with delicious Timbits!!! I am pretty sure that the company is in need of a corporate restructuring as there are too many inconsistencies between franchise locations such as differing hours and which items are served and at which times! This makes me unable to know if they have or even serve the item I want or even still open upon my arrival or not. Some close at 5:00pm others close at 9:00pm some at 4:00pm and some are 24hours!? Some places sell some breakfast all day, some till 5:00pm and others until 12:00pm. So confusing!!! If I Tims was able to provide customers with some sort of normal business hours and actual time that their limited breakfast items were served and not tease me with all the breakfast items being listed at ANY time of the day on their menu board. This store lacks consistency. Like they make a certain amount of treats a day, and when they are out, they don't bother making more for anyone else. They never have what you ask for, and compared to the one on Southfield near Fort in Lincoln park. the place looks like it only sells coffee. They advertise seasonal items weeks before you can get it. the store is clean considering it's small size. but like i said, they never make enough bake goods to keep people interested in coming back to the store. I have been a customer here since this location opened up every day faithfully 7 days a week i order 5 coffees a day for me and my co workers and if i was giving this review 3 years ago it would have been a 5 star but i just cant these days. The past couple years they have been lacking in the customer service department for sure.But ive tried other locations and they were better with customer service but their coffe tasted horrible.I am a big coffe drinker and taste is important to me .So i can deal with people being rude as i work in the restaurant buisness i am used to people being rude because people are people. Its the product im concerned with and that is what earned the 4 stars. I usually stop every Sunday after Church for coffee and a bagel. The young girl that waited on me today was absolutely the rudest I have ever encountered. First of all they had no choice on bagels except plain or sesame seed. Really? I went thru drive thru, first the girl dumped the coffee all down the side of my car after I told her that the lid was not on. The coffee was going all over, she got an attitude. She tried to give me about 25 napkins. I told her I did not need 25 napkins that 2 would do. (what a waste of Tim Hortons money) She crumbled them up and threw them at me. She was so busy being nasty with an attitude she forgot to give me my credit card back. Needless to say I had to drive a 42.5 mile round trip to go back. I will NEVER stop there again. I never write reviews but the melvindale tim hortons is the worse of the absolute worse. It appears to me the staff are more concerned about socializing than working. And i really think NONE of those employees want to be there. SO LEAVE ALREADY! The wait time is like waiting for yr doctor... when you order u hear constant gabbing and laughing in the background of the intercom.. i guess thats why i have to repeat my self 3 times...Everytime. Tims need to hire folks that have a work ethic. Unreal.. i endure this bs everyday because of my lunch schedule and distance from my job. I agree with every negative review here. This is ALWAYS slow! Today they seem to be only able to handle one car every four minutes. Right up the road is a McDonald's and a Starbucks I would go anywhere else except here. I have to tell you this place is utter disappointment. I have probably visited the place 7 or 8 times and at least half of those times my experience with the staff has been downright despicable. The restaurant is primarily comprised of young men and women. This is not an issue of course, but it seems as if they use the place more as a social gathering site than a place of work. They use their cell phones on the job, gab about their social activities, don't operate with a sense of urgency, and are ALWAYS understaffed. Meanwhile, the long lines keep building in the restaurant and at the drive thru. One time I had the server scold me because he misunderstood my request even though it was as simple as you will get. This morning, I showed the server the menu item I was interested in, exactly as written, and he still didn't understand. He gave me a hard time about its content with his "I'm a young tough punk who knows it all" attitude. Another time, one of his coworkers told me I didn't order a combo properly and it was my fault that I didn't get a menu item I asked for. Really guys? They apparently can't understand English with whatever dialect they call their own. I am an intelligent, well-educated man and I don't need to be insulted by a bunch of young losers. This last visit, I walked out on the server I was so upset. I will NEVER be back. This place needs to ditch its staff, hire adults who actually want to work, and perhaps people like me will return.
