The few crumbs l had were so tiny l could barely spear them on the fork. Everyone else enjoyed their meal, but l had been looking forward to the salad and was extremely . I left the chopped romaine on my plate as without the vinaigrette it was extremely tasteless. I would go back again and try something else. The French fries and the pickeral salad were delicious, but alas, l had not ordered them.

The vegetables and herbs balanced the richness of the eggs and the generous amount of cheese put a smile on my face. It comes with a serving of cubed potatoes that were fried properly and that were not too greasy. The bread was toasted a bit too brown for my taste, but nothing alarming. Finally, a little note on the place. You order at the cashier before you sit. However, if it's your first time, just take a menu, sit down, and take your time. The staff is friendly and they lady who served me had a great smile and attitude. Unfortunately, there isn't a lot of breakfast place in Parry Sound. What's really invigorating is that you don't have to come to Fairways Bar & Grill because you have to. You can come because you know it'll be a good start to your day.

After the long winding drive we got to the clubhouse. Felt kinda out of place not being golfers, but the sign said "Visitors Welcome". The atmosphere was very nice, staff very polite and professional. Prices not too bad, we both had the Fairway Breakfast, price included coffee as well which was a bonus as most are priced separately. Big shoutout to the caddie who picked is up in the parking lot so we didn't have to walk up that giant hill, lovely sense of humor, which helped take the edge off the awkwardness. Made us feel very welcome, thank you!! Would definitely go back again next time we are up.

The server advised in advance that the grill was down, so only poached or scrambled eggs (slightly disappointing as I prefer sunny side up, but survivable) so I opted for poached. 45 minutes later (not an intolerable wait depending on staffing issues) my plate arrives with the server now telling me that they ran out of potatoes (surprise!)...so no home fries (which is honestly the whole reason we go out for Sunday breakfast), but a smattering of fruit now sits in its lieu. Only 2, not the accepted minimum 3, slices of bacon. The toast is so cold the butter won't melt. The worst breakfast I've had in recent memory, and I think that I probably lost weight eating it.

We ordered, pulled up to the window and though we clearly ordered 1 hot and 2 cold drinks. We were handed 1 cold and 3 hot drinks? When clarifying what those drinks were, they finally looked at the screen. This wasn't for the car behind me or someone else in line, this was a completely made-up order! The food was closer to being right, although they still got one sandwich wrong! By the time we argued and clarified and waited for our order, the line for the drive-thru was down Bowes Street. In relaying our experience to long-time Parry Sounders, they guessed which one we went to because it's notorious for messing up orders. When we got back to our hotel, I looked at my grilled cheese sandwich, thought there was a moldy spot on the bread, turns out there was a tiny piece of lettuce between the cheese and the bread. The next day we went to the Tim Hortons on the North side of town (right beside our hotel) and the experience was 10,000 percent better.
