This place keeps getting worse. I ordered a latte and breakfast sandwich on the app. Pulled up to the speaker and was told the espresso machine was broken. They offered me a cold latte instead and I said no and asked for a regular coffee with the syrup from the latte instead. Got to work and discovered they used a shot of regular coffee in place of the espresso, added water, cream and syrup. Basically they made me a $6 cup of hot water. Tasted like garbage. Add to this that they have had a pothole in front of the drive through speaker for at least 2 years that is now so big if you try to drive through it, it will probably break your car axle. read more

Donuts, donuts, donuts. When you need to make friends at the office, you bring donuts. Today, I stopped at Timmy's and picked up a dozen for the office and a large coffee for me. This is a nice location that must have been a full service restaurant at some point as the dining room is massive. I did not see power outlets but I did spot their wifi network. It would be quite easy to sit here for a while with your donuts and coffee. At the office, the dozen donuts were down to just two by lunch time. That's a good deal. This place is actually fine. I use the mobile app and almost never have a problem. Here's where my issue lies, they still have NOT opened their building to the public. If they mess up your order, you have to get back in line for the drive-through to tell them what's going on. Sometimes this isn't a big deal because they're not busy, yet on the weekends they're very busy and it can be a major issue if you have someplace you need to be. I really really miss being able to go inside and use their Internet to get work done along with getting free refills on my coffee. read more

The location scores really low on cleanliness. It's so easy to keep the store clean. To have garbage and debris all over the floors is inexcusable. This was my first visit to a Tim Hortons and to be honest I didn't even know it was a real restaurant. I just thought it was a made up place on "How I Met Your Mother" haha There aren't any of these stores close to me, I was in Michigan and thought I'd stop in for a quick coffee. I knew they had donuts but I did not know that they had other meal items. I got a mocha latte and a soup. I wanted a hot coffee but their espresso machine was down. The iced drink was still great! The soup was perfect, I tried the broccoli cheddar. The service was quick and the employees were super nice. They explained everything they had and answered all my questions. I have been here a few times. Warning, if you like dark, rich coffee this is not for you. If you are a Dunkin fan, this is for you. I am of the dark, Black Owl following. I am mentoring a high school student at the high school for the next few weeks, it is close, so I have to be back. I get an egg and sausage sandwich for my student and he likes it. He claims it taste better than McDonalds and to me it looks better also. Big plus, thumbs up. Other people coming in seem to like the donuts, I have never had one though. It is more a donut shop than a cafe. It is very clean with a fireplace and seating in front of it. But nothing pops. It is void of character or any feel of being alive. The counter people are efficient but haven't yet learned how to smile or converse other then the amount of money to be paid. This all could be because I come in the morning. Yes they are polite. One last annoyance for me, maybe not for others though. The tops on the to go cups are flat like McDonalds, from the 50's. Hard to drink while driving. I prefer the Starbucks type, used almost everywhere, that are easier to drink and more substantial. All in all if you like lighter coffee this is for you. P.S. it is open 24/7, so, if you happened to be making copies at Fed Ex at 3 a.m., you can get a donut and coffee! read more

I never knew Tim Horton was anything more than just coffee and donuts. Or I could better put it as, it has been many years since my last trip to Michigan and Horton's. So if they've expanded their offerings, I'm the last to find out. They also offer breakfast sandwiches till 5 pm and other sandwiches and paninis too! (TBT, get a sandwich from a sandwich purveyor not teenagers trying to mimic a menu) Service is done so with a smile, however it is the lack of motivation to deliver a standard product which is the problem. The place looks immaculate. The environs are urban chic and perfect for any sort of coffee date or meeting. At a glance, it's clean and inviting. Looking at the associates running the shop, while maintaining smiles, are unable to serve the masses in any sort of "service window." If you've ever scanned a delivery window at your favorite fast food vendor, you may have noticed a timer. The manager of that fast food joint, hopes that their associates can maintain an amount of servicing ability within a window of time. There are no timers at Tim Horton. I find this unfortunate. Now.. I figure some of you are shaking your heads at this. Good coffee and a properly crafted breakfast sandwich require time.. But see the coffee is not that great and even with a wealth of time they are unable to serve anything decent. July 3rd 2017. It's after 7 pm and I enter with a few others and a toddler. I was in line to grab a pick-me-up for the remainder of my travel. First, I ordered a panini. I'd say this order took somewhere around fifteen minutes to complete. Since we had some time before leaving, I decided to get a cup of coffee which involved getting back into what was an already short line. Dude.. I was waiting in line FOREVER! When customers are looking around at each other and making faces wondering what is taking so long.. there should be someone that gives a shit & recognize this. I'll give them some leeway and estimate that maybe the second associate is new. I wager this based on her actions. Often, was she, contacting her co-worker via headset to ask questions. The silly fucking thing is.. the other associate is standing 2 feet away. 2 feet! We can hear her ask the question through her mouth/ear piece and the other's response. But again, we all, 3 - 4 groups of customers could hear it. Some 15 minutes later, after 2nd associate had to remake the last customer's order, it was my turn to order. I shit you not.. after ordering, I waited an additional 10 minutes for a large cup of coffee and a frozen watermelon lemonade. The first one served wasn't frozen. I'm surprised the associate laid it on the counter. The folks (other customers) waiting with me were like family now. They looked at it and then shared their comments. "I'd send it back." "That, is NOT frozen." "I wouldn't drink it." My response, "you think she'll come back soon, 10 minutes for this right?" I sent it back. Some minutes later she emerged with something having a different consistency. I imagine no one had checked this machine in some time and the product was all liquid. She could have told me this from the get-go and refunded or offered a similar product. My niece wasn't thrilled nor did she care to finish it. I'll chock up the waste of $3 dollars to having a bad beer.. How was the panini? Soggy. Tasty ingredients though. If passing through this area of Michigan again.. I'll head down the street and find a smaller, more local option where people still care about their products. read more

As a Canadian in the usa I'm so glad to see two Tim Hortons near me. yay. ok I got that out of my system let's teach them what Double Double means. Two cream and two sugar how can you open and operate a Canadian made company and not understand the the more important part of ordering at Tim Hortons so tell them when you go in you want a double double. Oh and their service needs to pick up the pace in Toronto we get our coffees donuts soups within 5 minutes even that's a long time. I once waited I kid you not 30 minutes for the newbie to learn how to make ice cap. Its been about 15yrs since I last had a donut from Horton's (Toronto). I was pleasantly surprised to find one here and stopped in several morning on my way to a client to get my am coffee fix. Also grabbed a 1/2 dzn to bring back home to the kids on my last day in the area. Overall the donuts and service here is excellent. The price for a large cup and a roll/donut makes this place a great deal. The coffee is decent, but I wish they would let the customer control the portion of milk/sugar. First time I said two sugar and milk; which I guess in their lingo is double portion (??). There was so much sugar and cream in the cup that it was not drinkable. Set out the milk and sugar on the counter and call it a day. read more

Let down the last time by this Tim Hortons. This franchise should seriously be pulled from whoever is running it. The first two attempts, with two breakfast orders in, they forgot one of the sides each time. Twice burned, should have learned. Enjoy their sandwiches so chalked it up to them having a bad day. This Tim Hortons discriminates against people with disabilities who require service animals. I was asked to leave twice with my service dog. The first time I was asked to leave I explained to the staff member that my dog is a Service Dog, and he's protected by the Americans with Disabilities Act. Shortly after that another inexperienced staff member by the name of Erica demanded paperwork that proved my dog was a service animal. FYI: by law this is not required nor is a service vest in public. Luckily I had all my paperwork on me since I was in town visiting family. Needless to say Erica looked defeated and scurried her ass to the back when I pulled out all of his paperwork. read more

We live in Kalamazoo and have been to this Tim Horton location three times. Twice they messed up our order. I speak plain English. The problem is not me. Last time (after a lot of effort on my part and a long wait) they corrected their mistake. Today they refused. I ordered a ham and cheese sandwich and soft drink. My wife ordered the same. We asked for sandwiches...we received grilled Panini's. We were charged for more expensive "combo's" even though we ordered our drinks separate. When we brought our orders to the counter to inform them we did not receive what we ordered the employees said it was too late to correct the order. They refused to fix THEIR mistake. We're never going back to that Tim Horton's. The Horton's in Battle Creek has NEVER screwed us over like Portage. Maybe you'll have better luck at this Portage location but do you really want to chance it? You decide. read more

Great location for grabbing a quick bite / coffee before getting on 94 E, 94 W might be a different story. Breakfast items cater more towards women with the muffins, doughnuts, etc, where they slack in the meat and egg department. Not a deal breaker for me since I usually just stop for a coffee anyway. The workers there are great but the manager is a jerk..A customer from the drive thru brought a coffee order in that was not correct and the manager proceded to shout in a very loud voice for the workers to gather around him NOW. This place is always out of everything... I've gone there six times and only ate there twice (and the food was not worth it). Why advertise breakfast all day when you're constantly running out of your breakfast items? Plus, the people that work the drive thru are rude. I don't tolerate bad customer service.
