I don't even know where to start! The staff members were friendly, the shop itself is SO cute, and every single thing we ordered was delicious. The matcha was just sweet enough, but not overpowering, and the lavender syrup tasted as it should - no soapy vibes! I loved that they had GF/vegan treats so I could get a surprise for some friends with allergies who usually can't find yummy options at coffee shops. If I had to say ANYTHING negative about this cute spot, it would be that I wish it was bigger! If I lived locally I'd be in here all the time. read more

I don't normally do good reviews but i had to for this one. My family has frequented this place a handful of times and thats for a good reason. The food menu is what you would expect from a standard coffee shop with a little more consideration for allergen prone or meat avoiding type. The flavors are always on point. The Vegan Tres Leches is always a knee slapper whenever you want to divert away from the basic toast with avocado. However if you do go with it, the pickled onions on their Toast with Avocado AND micro greens is also just right. *chefs kiss* You can sit on any of their cute chairs while talking about art deco soaking in their welcoming rustic ambiance. The baby pink and matcha green wall paint is a nice choice. In the back you can find a nice little selfie back drop if you and the person you want to get in bed with are up for taking a selfie together. The service is great. Always a welcoming energy. The owners take their time to say hello and ask about their food/drink. This is a good sign of confidence in their product. They can recognize repeat customers and know what drink you will order, also another good sign. Price is what you would expect. This place is located down town Kalamazoo. In my opinion they have the best matcha in town, and just about everyone that I've talked to mutually agreed. With the service, the taste and as a complete package i would say this is justified for little old Kalamazoo. read more

A cute, dairy-free Matcha bar with many vegan dishes. Very friendly, hard-working owner and staff. We are always warmly greeted as soon as we arrive. Often has rotating specials and seasonal menus. The bread they serve is usually not vegan, but a vegan substitute bread is always available. Order and pick-up at the counter. A great place to get a drink and snack when visiting the Kalamazoo Mall. read more

If there's a café with pink vibes, please invite me! I have to be there! MatchaLiscita instantly became one of my favorite spots. The whole place is cozy, romantic, fun, and full of aesthetic pink-and-green details. It's a small space, but super inviting and full of fun charm. We ordered the Iced Strawberry Matcha, and apparently it's the drink everyone wants, it was the last cup available that day! It was really delicious, though at first, it needed a bit more sweetness. I added syrup from their counter, and it totally enhanced the flavor , so good! It's the kind of drink you can slowly sip and enjoy for an hour. Totally worth the hype. We also had the Hot Chocolate, and wow... it was phenomenal. Rich, creamy, and exactly what you want in a hot chocolate. And don't get me started on the Strawberry Chocolate Donut! looked gluten-free and honestly, I'd take it over a regular donut any day. Super tasty! The seating is cute and clever, the tables adjust up or down depending on your needs, which I loved. That said, the space itself is very small, and it does give off the vibe of "grab your drink and go." It's cozy, but not ideal for long hangs. One downside: the bathroom could really use more care. I ended up not using it. It could definitely benefit from some cleaning, better scents, and a little aesthetic love and decorations to match the rest of the café. Still, overall the place is adorable, the vibes are cute, and I'd love to come again to enjoy another Strawberry Matcha and those amazing chocolate donuts. read more

The BEST matcha around!! Fantastic non-dairy options (included with drink, not extra $!) and really fun flavors. I tried the iced horchata matcha and a hot matcha with oat milk and maple syrup. You can tell from the color and flavor that Matchacita uses high-quality tea in every drink. Super cute pink and green interior too! The staff are always incredibly friendly and kind.
