Chili for Thanksgiving [Squamish, BC Canada] Can you get any more Canadian than stopping by a Tim Horton's? This was our only Timmies stop while we were in Canada. Originally I only wanted a donut but decided on something warm and ordered a bowl of chili instead. While the hubby isn't fond of their coffee (LoL! sorry) he does enjoy their chili. It was pretty good, rich and flavorful with a blend of ground beef, kidney beans, tomatoes, mushroom, green peppers, onion and celery. It came with a full size artisan bread bun (and butter). I also tried their Wildberry Hibiscus Sparkling Quencher... refreshing, juicy and I love the tartness. Great customer service, pleasant and friendly. Fast service. A typical Timmy. There is only 1 till opened as the other till is only for drive thru. So it can take a while to place your order and get your food and drinks. I think most customers do the drive thru so that line is pretty much endless. The store itself is clean and quite big. Not many people stay in to have their food or coffee. I guess most just want to get on with their activities in Squamish. Convenient location for a pit stop along the sea to sky highway. There is a CIBC here if you need cash too. read more

I could just be biased because I worked at a donut shop in college, but these donuts are just not good. The coffee is fairly decent and Tim Hortons is iconic. The wait time wasn't too bad and the staff seemed to tolerate us the jalapeño lettuce pastries smelled so bad that nobody in my party could eat it. My friends and I were driving back home from Whistler and had to stop by a Tim Horton's before we left. The employees were super kind and friendly. The restaurant is nice and clean and has a mini fireplace in the center which I thought was such a cozy touch! My friends and I ordered and split a meal and a 10 pack of Timbits. I didn't try the meal items but I got the coffee in it. It was steeping hot when I received it so I had to let it cool down for a few mins before trying it. The first few sips of the coffee were a bit bitter, but the more I had the more I got used to the bitterness and it tasted like your average cup of coffee. My friends and I split the Timbits and tried out different flavors. I ordered the chocolate, original, maple glazed, and birthday cake timbits. All of them ended up being cake donuts except the original and maple glazed. My favorite was the original as it was nice and soft and not too sweet. The chocolate was good too, but only go for it if you really like chocolate and don't mind having a really sweet donut. My least favorites were the maple and birthday cake. They both were way too sweet for me and definitely needed that coffee to wash it down. Overall, the timbits were pretty good as they were soft, springy, and moist! It was a great experience and would definitely come again to try out more of their donuts! read more

Tim Horton is usually my first stop when crossing over into Canada I know there are a few stateside but it just seems to taste better on Canadian soil. This location in the town of Squamish was a welcoming sight after hiking most of the morning in the area. Nothing better than a large coffee with one raw sugar and a few natural creamers and of course some timbits. The staff here was friendly and were pretty efficient and most of all they got my order correct I still haven't loaded their the app although I always remind myself to do so to avoid getting a pocket full of Canadian coins but with the exchange rate it's almost like drinking coffee for free compared to Starbucks in the USA. I must admit though I do get a kick out of throwing these Canadian coins out in the parking lots in Florida if only to excite the kids or piss off the homeless who find them. I tried the sour cream glazed and the jingle bell boston cream donut and thought both were good. The sour cream glazed tasted weird and good at the same time. Weird, because I didn't think sour cream can be turned into a donut flavor and good because I like sour cream in general. I like balvarian cream donuts and I knew I'll like the boston cream donut. Fast | Always a classic when visiting CAN $ We always hit this place up when we visit Squamish. Our main reason for visiting this town is for climbing and hiking. We're always looking for something fast when we wake up early to hit some crags before the crowds, and Timmy's is a treat for us. We love that a donut comes with your meal! Service is always good here, at least drive-thru. Once, they ran out of the crueler donuts and gave us 50 Tim Bits instead. We tend to get the chicken sandwich for lunch/dinner and any of their breakfast sandwiches. Woah what is going on with this concept called Tim Hortons? Its like a McDonalds exploded into a Dunkin' Donuts and Starbucks and they decided to use real dishware to serve food and drinks. I've never been in one of these before moving to BC and We wandered into this location after our Chinese go to for lunch across the street was closed. During rush hour this place is mad busy but the crew at this location is laser focused and moves the masses. The tomato soup and grilled cheese combo I got was dangerously good as was the Cesar salad. And I've discovered that getting a few pastries to cap off a meal here is a must. Their Boston cream doughnut and their doughnut holes are mouthwatering good (I downed 10 of them). All of that was $20, Canadian. I also didn't expect much for their facilities but the sitting area is actually really nice and has a fireplace. My only gripe is that because it's like grand central station in there during lunchtime tables aren't cleared or cleaned well/quickly. This place makes me hungry and want to eat! #Squamish read more

I said maybe because I could not possibly recommend Tim's the way they do business. There are 6-10 employees running around but their top priority is clearly drive thru. They have completely dropped the ball on cleanliness and sanitary conditions. I sat in the first corner booth inside the front door. Had to clean up the last folks mess. 6 tables all around were in similar condition. Shocking to see such wanton disregard for basic sanitary attention. When i approached a girl behind the counter and pointed out the dirty conditions she just looked at me like i should drop dead. She simply went back to work. We were on our way back to Seattle and I know we have to get Tim Hortons at least once while visiting Canada so we stopped by one. Unfortunately the staff members were very rude to us. We ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches, 2 coffees and an order of honey dip timbits. However they misunderstood me and gave me the donut instead. It's ok it happens so I waited patiently to get their attention so that I can get the timbits instead. What really happened was the cashier girl obviously saw me but ignored me the whole time- meanwhile this other lady gave their sandwiches back saying that they didn't want the cheese and the front cashier girl took those back and the staff made fun of the other lady who requested to not have cheese. Uh, maybe they're lactose intolerant, why is that so funny? After waiting for a long time my husband got irritated and asked a different girl to get the timbits instead as the cashier kept ignoring me. While the other girl gave us our correct order, the cashier girl threw our food at us. Really? We weren't being rude at all. We first went to the other one that is by it self (Across from London Drugs) and left as the selection sucked. He missed half of my order and missed combo. I looked at my phone and re-read. It doesn't look confused. I simply typed number one with combo, large coffee, and Canadian Back bacon with combo. He only gave us large coffee with number one. Missed Canadian Back bacon with combo. I asked him where is the rest? Now that Squamish has grown so much there are many more options. There is nothing special about this location. I suppose that I come here out of tradition more than anything. 10 years ago it was one of the only places to eat en route to whistler. I would recommend just using the drive through if you are in a rush. The line moves slowly in the actual store. Same with Wendy's read more

I. Love. Tim. Hortons. There was a Tim Hortons rule in my house. Anyone who went to the city or drove through Squamish had to pick up a box of TImBits. Those delicious doughnut holes that are sprinkled with copious amounts of crack. OK, maybe it isn't crack. Whatever is in these little balls of heaven it can't be legal in the States. That's the only reasonable explanation I can think of for why Timmy's isn't south of the border. I would now like I moment of reflection on their coffee: HOLY COW. I've heard from a couple different people that they roast their coffee with barley. I don't know if that's true, but it sound like it could be. The straight up black tar heroin that is Tim Hortons coffee is the best coffee in the world. I worked at a boutique coffee roaster that only roasted shade grown arabic beans from small estates. TH coffee is better. OK, it's not technically "Better" but I like it more. It's savory but still a little sweet. I'm kind of glad Whistler will never allow Tim Hortons in the municipality because that makes the Squamish location that much more exciting. It breaks up the drive. Plus, if there was a TH in Whistler I would have gained a LOT more weight in Whistler. No body wants that. read more

holy guacamole these guys are nuts. i think half of their staff is under 16 and it really shows in the service. the whole place runs around like a chicken with it's head cut off and the line takes FOREVER. the staff here can't compete with the folks at tim hortons in downtown vancouver, who can serve 3 times as many people in half the time. these guys routinely forget parts of your order, take forever and generally suck. i need a caffeine fix on the way home from skiing and i've switched to McD's. I had left my camera here and unfortunately left Canada and made it home to CA when I realized, my camera was not in my luggage and that the last time I used it was when I took a photo of the yummy donuts. My family and I ordered $60 worth of food that which all had to be taken back and thrown away due to how disgusting and poor quality each item we bought was. The fact that you guys microwave a chicken wrap should be illegal for there was not a single drop of ranch in it as well as one strip of bacon of which wasn't even cooked. Worst service ever. Cashier Lorna is the worst doesn't listen when taking orders, over charges, and then tells you that you made the wrong order and I am wrong. Great service during our stop. Line was long but moved quite efficiently. There were 2 people working the drive thru, 2 people servicing the line up and one person making all the yummy sandwiches. I think I saw a baker filling up the donuts. We ordered 2 of the new lasagna casseroll's with the little garlic bun things and 2 large double double's and got my fav's honey crullers. I swear they are the freshest donuts ever. The manager and supervisor were serving me. So fast, my order was ready and waiting before I even completed my payment.
