I had dropped off a water sample before I left but never got the results back. The storm on May 16 of this year caused 3 of my neighbors pine trees to fall on my pool causing considerable damage to the cover although we weren't sure if there was damage to the actual pool sides/bottom. When I called the office to come out, assess damage, and give me a price estimate to clean out the pool, I was told '"it's our busy season, but we can try to get out there next week." Today, Aug. 4, a young man from Total Pools came out to assess damage. (I had spoken to 6 pool companies, 2 came out to the site to assess, 1 performed the cleanout and measured/quoted a price for a new cover.)

I usually brought in samples and purchased chemicals to treat my pool based on those results and then brought in another sample to verify. I honestly don't know why this family owned business has only three stars. I have read some of the…read morenegative comments that they're so far out and unable to put a pool in, in a timeframe that a perspective client may want. To me that's not worthy of bad star ratings I can tell you from my perspective this family and the people that work for them are great to work with. We went and talked to them got a quote for a pool last year put a nonrefundable thousand dollar deposit down because we knew we wanted a pool and was not supposed to have started the dig until August 2024 ( this year ), because we put a deposit down a few people in line dropped off to wait, which bumped us up and our pool was started in November 2023 and completed a month later. From the time they started digging until the end of this season, they have been nothing but helpful. Anytime I have water issues. I take a water sample in and both Jane or Amber will look at it and guide me on what needs to be added. Anybody that is looking to have a pool put in needs to give them a chance keep in mind they're a small company so they have a set of guys that work on a pool so there is a waiting period but they are very much worth the wait.

He offered a clear explanation of what was needed to handle the iron. He explained how to size the system for maximum softening while accommodating the available pressure from my well, required for backwash recycling of the softener and iron filter. He was very straightforward about the potential problems managing iron. The iron itself tends to foul valves. He explained how to monitor and avoid this. I have had previous water softener services that tended to over promise and minimize any future issues. This left me disappointed when the equipment had trouble. Phil took the extra step of clearing some of my faucets that had restricted flow because of iron buildup. Fantastic silky water this morning.
