The owner (Jim) came out to my home in Fairview Park, took a look at the points of concern, and took notes. Within a day, I received a very reasonable estimate, expressed my intent to move forward, and had a date scheduled for the work ~2 weeks later. I am pretty detail-oriented and had some concerns with the initial work that was done. Jim personally stopped out to inspect what was done, and handled the additional work himself to my content. Throughout the entire process, both Jim and his son Austin were very personable. I would definitely recommend them for anyone looking for repairs/work in the Cleveland area. I cut out the wet, mildewy piece of drywall and then decided to call American Plaster and Drywall to fix the ceiling after reading some great reviews for them on Angie's List. Jeff Wilson, the owner came over to check out the problem area and his quote was very reasonable. I scheduled an appointment to have the repair done two weeks later. His guys came to replace the drywall and retexture and paint it to match the rest of the ceiling. They did such an amazing job that I literally can't tell where the repair was done. I happily referred them to my parents to have a similar drywall repair done in their bathroom ceiling and they were very happy with the results as well! There were two cracks in a bedroom ceiling that were repaired so amazingly well, you wouldn't realize repairs had been made! And one had been previously repaired years earlier so poorly it looked like a huge scar on the ceiling...looking at it now - it's flawless! We were never paid and still remain unpaid. this was not due to any issue with the work on our end, it was because Alan got into a disagreement with the owner of the property and decided to walk off the job. Poor time management, was always hours later than expected and rarely worked for more than a couple hours in a day. Clearly did not know what he was doing and that should have been communicated from the beginning instead of attempting to do it regardless and wasting thousands of dollars. Fortunately the majority of the materials could be reused, but some had to be trashed entirely.
