Timber Creek has stepped up their game considerably. Gave it another try. The server Brad was very attentive and friendly. The dirty wings were good. The biggest surprise was the pizza. We ordered the Meat Lovers pizza. As a guy with an Italian wife we have eaten dozens and dozens of different pizzas from all over. This pizza was the BEST by far. Went here for a happy hour with 3 of my coworkers. This place was a fun little stop after work. Parking situation was a little weird as the lot is shared with several other store fronts. Sat right away due to it not being to busy, which i didn't mind. There is a large square bar that has chairs with arm rest and backs, not stools. Points for them. I ordered the wings (trashed) and they were good. and the beer came out cold. Our server was a sweet older women and made sure we had everything we needed. Wanted to grab a bite to eat before heading out to Augusta and decided to stop in. We were seated right away however seated not with other people, which was weird but the area quickly filled up after that. Our waitress was attentive, we started with the pub pretzels and cheese, which were great. We have a major thing for pretzels so we try to get them wherever we go. Our main orders were a burger and buffalo chicken sandwich, both with fries. Both came out hot and eaten up in minutes. Prices aren't bad. I took a friend to lunch today at Timber Creek. We had not been there before. My lunch was fine, however, the Reuben she ordered was full of fat and stringy. When she pointed it out to the server he said that was unusual and said he would tell them in the kitchen. He did not offer another Rueben or any other type of alternative. So my friend ate her french fries and picked at one half of the sandwich. When the bill arrived he said they took half off since she had eaten the french fries! I pointed out that the sandwich was not able to be eaten and that we had pointed that out earlier. He went back to management and came back and said they wouldn't charge us. So my friend didn't get lunch and I had invited her out as a treat! Very poor judgement on the management staff of Timber Creek. read more

This restaurant is so close to home. The food is always good. Seems like the staff is happy and is always friendly. One thing we have noticed over the years is that the owners are usually hanging out with friends and drinking at the bar. The music is outdated and I feel "old" when an artist isn't there playing music so download the app to play your favorite songs on their TouchTunes. Otherwise, you will be listening to easy listening 70's music, although that may be your thing. When under staffed as they were over the weekend, and on other occasions, it would have been nice to see the owner jumping in to help. The bartender was slammed but had to go out of his way to wait on "the regulars" who are there every time we frequent this restaurant. We have been going to Timber Creek for years and have never seen the owners help out. As a matter of fact a bartender who was there but off during that time actually stepped back a few times to help while the owner just stood by. I have been to many restaurants in the area that are privately owned and we are always greeted and asked how the meal was. They clear tables, and help out where needed. This won't happen here. Timber Creek has become my Cheers: since I live so close, I know the staff and they all know me. Their food is delicious. Their toasted raviolis are the best I've had, the wings are awesome with lots of choices, The Cajun Chickens is my go-to, specials are very good, but the best thing is the great people working there. This is one of the few places that have kept their prices as low as they possibly can in this economy where some standard required commodities have gone up 35 - 45%. When I first visited Timber Creek, the bar was packed and the bartender was moving like a pinball in a pinball machine, and doing it with a smile. My second visit Lisa remembered my name, which nowadays amazed me. The owner and his team have found some of the best looking and hardest working servers and bartenders in the business. When most regulars walk in, their drink is ready before they sit down. They have the best bar chairs you'll find anywhere. Timber Creek is one of the few places left that my wife and I know is always going to be good and always right. I quit drinking at the beginning of 2022 but when I did, their drinks are largest pours you'll get. I have yet to find a place with a staff as friendly as theirs while providing great service. . During the pandemic, my wife and I tried every non-chain bar/grill in the area, some are close, but none beat Timber Creek. Almost forgot; best bar chairs in the St. Louis area, period. read more

We came here because it was across the street from the hospital. We heard that the wings were 'the best' and that they had 'the best bar stools'. Here's the deal... I really used to dislike this place. The atmosphere didn't do it for me and the service was always so-so, but it's grown on me a little. If you live in O'Fallon and want to avoid all of the chain restaurants, this may be your spot. Timber Creek is usually my parents' restaurant of choice, so we come here quite a bit. I like it more in the winter because it's fun to sit by the fire and relax! They have a decent wine list so you're sure to find something you like, as well as beer & a full bar. As far as menu recommendations go, order the dirty wings! The flavors are awesome and you get a huge bowl of them. The burgers are A-OK, and the veggie quesadilla rocks so hard. Tons of fresh vegetables and cheeses! The salads aren't very good so I'd stay away from those. Pretty straightforward... this is a reliable spot for a good lunch or dinner in O'Fallon! It's a restaurant and a bar, how can you go wrong? The staff is great and attentive even when busy. They have some great menu items I am looking forward to trying but the appetizers and pizza they have are great. Plenty of tv's if you're looking to watch a game or race, karoke (not sure what night but not that brave anyway), the only 'negative' some may have is that the bar area is near the eating area so there may be some times where it's smokey if you're going out on the weekend. During the day and week though, doesn't seem to be a problem at all. I was almost ready to add a star to Timber Creek, for their burgers, but I am going to hold off a bit. I have four visits under my belt, including three burgers and one breaded tenderloin. What I like - the fairly straightforward burgers, maybe just with cheese, although I did like my mushroom and Swiss burger a few weeks ago. I will continue to order burgers here as long as they keep char-broiling them like I have been getting. Beware that medium rare is plenty rare and when I ordered just medium, it was fully medium rare. I also liked that they had breaded tenderloins on the menu. I ordered one here and it was OK, reasonably meaty, not the huge Frisbee of fried cardboard that you get some places. It was also not fabricated with egg and bread for binder. 4/1/15 - I enjoyed a good turkey club today as a break from burgers. It was large and the deli meats were good quality with nice toasted wheat bread. I still wish they would make potato salad without onion. What I have not liked - I ordered a smoked Gouda and bacon burger. Somehow the patty was not loaded with the char-broiled flavor I experienced at first, so I will have to watch that. The real issue is the fake, processed smoked Gouda that they use is not good. It did not even offer to melt and just had that process cheese texture. Uugh, not actual cheese. I also am not a big fan of their slaw because of the onion. It is not really overdone, I just would prefer a creamy dressing if they don't over sweeten it and add some vinegar, but no onion. The potato salad is just OK, but too sweet and oniony, so I really have not found a side I like. Maybe I should just skip it. I am staying with three stars for now. It is probably a little better than that, especially if I would branch out. I need to try that Hot Brown and maybe some wings. I certainly have had a couple of four star burgers, but the sides hold the rating down. read more

My wife have been long time patrons and personally know servers like Brad. For the last year, however, we rarely have eaten there because the hostess always seats us at a table by the bathroom or is rude. On our last visit, we were at the restaurant at 4:30 on a Saturday. It was about half full. Again, they tried to seat us by the bathroom. When we requested a high top, we were told we could sit at a table but, because of a reservation, we'd have to leave by 6:00. Sorry, we won't be treated like we aren't welcome at a restaurant. We went to another restaurant, stayed until we were ready to leave, and spent a considerable amount on food and drink. This restaurant needs to not treat customers like we aren't welcome. read more

The decor is very warm and inviting. Food was nothing crazy but it was prepared well and pleasant. The thing that really attracted me was the service. Saw waitress once during that time. Order consisted of a chicken philly with cottage fries, bacon burger with fries, and BLT with fries. After chasing down waitress to inquire about food and another 5 minutes, food comes out. Fries are hot and delicious! That's the only positive I have. My wife and I went to Timber Creek Grill on a Sunday evening around 8:00. We ordered a drink and a small "Deluxe" pizza. As we were waiting, we noticed that there were only a few other people in the restaurant so we assumed it would be a rapid delivery on the pizza. Forty five minutes after we had ordered, our waitress, Brooke, informed us that the cook had forgot to put cheese on the pizza so another pizza had to be started. At 9:15 our pizza arrived at our table. As we began to eat, we noticed that the pizza had not been sliced. We had to use our table knife to slice the pizza. I usually go to this place with friends because it is close my office and where I and my associates play golf at nearby Winghaven. I informed my friends of this fiasco and besides laughing their tails off, they informed me that we will be going elsewhere for our 19th hole beverages. read more

Ok, so the wings are really delicious. They are decent size and price, and the sauce was fantastic. I got the house salad, and it was great. I'm weird and got mustard on it, instead of dressing. The waitress made a whole to-do about this. Simply don't put dressing on it, and give me some mustard. My boyfriend got the western burger, he liked it. The fries that came with it were seasoned perfectly and came out hot. Really no complaints about the food, but the service was not good. Leaving our drinks empty, we waited and waited, then went up to the bar to get a 2nd drink. We asked for additional napkins, and they never came. We love this place. Honestly we do. We stop by at least once a week, but your server Albert is painfully slow and inattentive. I get hospitality and wanting to chat with people, but he takes it to an extreme. It's gotten to the point where we've had such bad service by him 3 times that my bf and I agree if we are seated in his section and there isn't space at the bar, then we leave because we don't have time for him to "serve" us. He's said he'd be back after he puts an order in and he doesn't come back for 24 minutes. During those 24 minutes though he has time to stand on the patron side of the bar and chat. Takes so long to actually put drinks and food in that people have had to immediately ask for boxes and the check because they don't have time to enjoy what they ordered. Completely has forgotten beverage orders and we can see them just sitting on the bar. The worst part is that on each of these occasions he has an excuse instead of owning up to it. read more

I got the Bison Burger with Sweet Potato fries ( waffle fries) as my side, that would be great fresh but a delayed few minutes in the kitchen, guess they were chillin for a minute. 5/5 but I had to minus a star or two cause of the fries. Well...they have a cheese burger. 1/2 lbs. You get the soft pub cheddar cheese (it's an ice cream scoop of delishes cheese). I did not know about this secret cheese until one day there was a picture of it on facebook. It is one of the best cheese burgers I have sunk my teeth into. They need to feature this cheese situation on the menu. In addition, they have little round potatoes called cottage bites. They are really good. Especially when some of the pub cheese drips onto them! read more
