Andy Brown is a beautiful space, from the pond to the open fields, the sidewalk/bike path, multiple large pavilions, and fun playground. There are large, mature trees surrounding the park. We parked in the wrong lot and had to walk alongside the gym in order to get to the playground and I couldn't believe how beautiful the pathways were with all the trees and the small creek running alongside. Not what I expected from a city park! The playground itself ("Kid Country") is almost fully enclosed and is a sprawling assortment of things to climb up, swing on, and slide down. There is a play area in the toddler section with storefronts to spark pretend play. The ground is bark. There are large trees in the center of the play area that provide shade and make the play structure look more natural than your typical playground. Almost like a tree house. There are benches scattered throughout the play area and a large covered pavilion with multiple picnic tables underneath. The city of Coppell provides free WiFi there and there were multiple moms with laptops out, working, while their kids played. The only big negative is the distance from the playground to the bathroom. I understand that they probably built the bathrooms more toward the center of the park, but the wise choice would have been to also put an additional small restroom right next to the playground. It's too far of a walk for me to feel comfortable sending my younger kids over there alone and it's kind of a bummer to have to wrangle together the entire group every time one kid has to pee. Otherwise, a fabulous park. LOVE IT. Hats off to you, Coppell!

I couldn't see that the trees were wrapped in twinkle lights yet, but that glow over the park was almost .... angelic! Then there it was! Each tree had an entire wrapping of the lights on their trunks. And the larger trees had some branches that were lit up also. I am sure the persons who arranged the lights for the park was very careful to know and pick which trees could support how much extra weight. It was so beautiful. Now every year that I am able, I will go back to see the Holiday Display at Vetruvian Park. Last year I was in hospital from mid-December until February 13. I felt like I had let down a good friend when I couldn't make my annual voyage. I don't know how many more years I have been given, but to celebrate the birthday of Christ I will be there among the Angel Lights! Go see them! It's a wonderful experience for all!

VERY expansive network of trails with lots of water features (ponds, creeks) and options. Lots of…read moreducks, geese, and bird life in general. Often a red tailed hawk to be seen, and always egrets and herons. You can get in a lot of miles if you want to, and there are several different ways to do it - different forks in the path and lots of ways to vary it up on different days. Walker and biker friendly (although 100% paved). Bikers, please be courteous and alert walkers when you're coming up behind them ("On your left" is standard). Our family has done some of these trails too many times to count. Some people have pointed out that it's flat. It is mostly flat, unless you head towards the big hill next to the frisbee golf portion of the trail. But it's still an excellent network of trails that covers a LOT of territory. You could take the trails far enough north that you head to West Plano, I think. And they keep expanding south as well. I really have to credit Carrollton with doing a great job with these trails over the years. (We lived in Carrollton for 9 years and I miss being walking distance to the greenbelt.) Last note - I'm not a frisbee golfer. We've solely used the trails, not the disc golf course. (Some people have only focused on the disc course, whereas the entire greenbelt has MUCH more than that - as previously mentioned.)

There is a fountain in the middle of a pond that is quite relaxing to listen to. The area is a nice and safe area so you don't have to worry about this either. It's located behind the shops at Legacy and the Marriott. It seems like a nice place to come to after you shop or eat at the shops. The ambience is relaxing and there is plenty of parking in the area, too. I love how clean it is and the water doesn't smell or anything. This place is well kept and you can tell. I can't wait to have date night here when this pandemic is over!

It was until i got a herniated dish and couldn't walk too far that i decided to check this place out. HOLY COW. This place is the most serene, quiet, calm, clean mini park i have seen. There usually only one it two other people here when i go, and it's like having the park all to myself. It's so tiny, so as you are walking you can see the entire park in a circle. This really helped me mentally when i herniated my disk, so now i come here when I'm stressed and need a mental break! I love this kil secret park.

My husband and I came here for a weekend trek, and it's easily one of the best outdoor spots in North Texas. What I love most is the versatility. Whether you're looking for a smooth, paved stroll or want to get your boots a little dusty on the dirt hiking trails, they've got you covered. It's a great mix of elevation and flat stretches. It's a great spot for everyone. Pets are welcome (on leashes!), and there is a fantastic playground near the parking lot--perfect for kiddos who still have energy to burn after a hike. You'll see a beautiful variety of plants and likely some local wildlife. Just a heads-up: they do have warning signs posted for snakes and poison ivy, so definitely keep an eye on your surroundings while you explore. The parking lot is huge, but this place is popular! We arrived around 1:00 PM and it was nearly at capacity. We were lucky to snag a stall, but I'd definitely recommend arriving earlier in the morning if you want to avoid the parking hunt.

Part of the City of Carrollton park system, Branch Hollow Park is located at the east end of Branch Hollow Drive and is a nice, 3.5 acre area with lots of shade trees. There are 2 lighted, fenced in tennis courts, a pavilion with picnic tables and grills and a large playground for the children. You can burn off a few calories in the court, let the kids work off some extra energy on the playground and meet up with friends for a meal or just relax in the shade. The park is located at the north end of the Carrollton Blue Trail, a 4.25 mile paved path that winds along Furneaux Creek in the greenbelt. So, it makes for a great starting or endpoint for an invigorating run or bike ride, or a leisurely walk. There's a small parking lot and lots of street parking available. Hope to see you there!

This is such a great neighborhood park in Carrollton. It is on Branch Hollow just south of Hebron…read more They have 2 very nice lit tennis courts that they recommend getting reservations for. They are almost always being used when we drive by day or night. There is a nice waterfountain for people and dogs by the court but im not sure if they are working now(because of covid) There are a few picnic tables one with a covering. The playground is very well maintained with lots of different things for the kiddos to play on. The covering is rubbery which helps cushion falls. The blue trail is right behind it if you feel like doing some walking/riding your bike on a wide divided cement path (is about 4 miles). Very close to the tennis courts are three very well maintained butterfly/insect/bird areas.

SMH BUT when we finally did get there the lady that works the entrance booth (Betty ?) was soooo sweet !! It was really refreshing to see, and for the most part, people there were also taking care of the park during its use as well. There are so many different areas, things to do, and experiences for kids to venture within the space. More of these everywhere!!

I wouldn't necessarily recommend this playground…read more We have a three year old that is special needs that is physically strong and doesn't have any physical abnormalities to him. We saw other kids his age there as well at the base of the orb with their parents. He became completely fixated on traversing through the orb thing in the middle of the playground, as one would be as it's an amazing structure. He kept trying over and over and over to go up the ropes and into the first layer of the orb. He was scared, the layers of the orb are made with rope, and I had to go with him while helping him physically, which was heavy on me physically, and I am fit. There were certain parts in that first 'orb layer' that had no net and a steep drop off to the ground. My boy thought it might be fun to try jumping off of it so I had to fight against him to keep him from those parts. I went down the slide with him in my lap to get down. We tried every single time to distract and recenter his focus to get him to try the other playground areas but he was fixated on that orb and wouldn't stop. He is athletic at 55 lbs so usually he prefers the big kid areas at parks. We ended up having to carry him out with him crying, kicking, and screaming due to this playground orb feature. We went to another nearby playground, which was a blast.
