They give great cleanings. My crowns were not painful and they have treated other issues. I have had a lot of work done including splints and have been pleased. They want you to keep your smile and gums healthy. I like Dr Melo but have seen all the dentists there and they were all pleasant and professional. The only thing that is hard is that their location is in the second floor of the building. They do have a lift chair if you request it.

Dr. Pinto has multiple patients with EDS, and puts in the time and effort to adjust her care for the ways the disorder impacts tooth and gum health. Finding my nerves for filling replacement has always been a trial for dentists. As is common in EDS, I go through anesthesetic quickly and variably depending on anaesthetic type and dose. I've worked closely with Dr. Pinto to figure out how to get me numbed up effectively. I also want to give a shout-out to her straightforwardness in working with patients with severe anxiety and depression. It's really common to have to expend precious energy reassuring medical professionals who are uncomfortable with the idea of depression/anxiety. (This is a significant boundary to medical care for folks dealing with these issues.) Not so with Dr. Pinto. Upon learning about the depth of my partner's profound depression/anxiety, all she had to say was "you're on meds? You're working with professionals? Good. So about your teeth..." And that was it. No pity, no fear, no need to manage her emotions and expectations. Again, five stars, A+, best sustained dentistry experience of my life, recommended to everyone who will sit still long enough for me to tell them about her.

From the moment i walked in, I knew i wanted to establish care here. The office is inviting and calming, with separate rooms, ample windows, and tranquil paintings. The entire staff is warm and welcoming. My dental assistant was efficient and we were even able to combine my new patient exam and cleaning into a single visit since I was already there. The hygienist was amazing--she talked me through the entire process, was so gentle that I didn't feel any pain while she was scraping or flossing, and even asked me about college. We established a hand signal as a way to communicate if I needed a moment. My dentist, Dr. Heer, was also wonderful. She gave me a jaw massage to release tension, complimented my teeth, and even joked about me winning an Olympic gold medal after I mentioned my athletic pursuits. My child was forced to receive a gas sedative for a minor cavity,…read morestill experienced pain with added injections, and then was told that the dentist would not fix all cavities in one sitting but in as many there were cavities with them all being under gas. The dentist treated like my child was a factory item, the dentist allegedly "cleaned" each cavity within one and a half minutes (I timed it) and was out of the room within seconds.
