I have always been treated well at Timberline Nails but today was a very bad experience. Because of my delay with an accident and traffic arrived late 10 minutes to my appointment at Timberline nails for fill and pedicure. I was told by Kim who does my nails that they would not be doing my fill or pedicure and if I wanted they would find someone else if I wanted and if someone was available The tone and manner the cashier person spoke to me was rude and disrespectful. My services were not the same I have to say I was very disappointed and came home feeling sad. This place was my go to place to relax while papering and finding time for myself. Came in to have my acrylics removed and have a manicure. After trying to convince me to keep the acrylics they removed them, leaving clumps of acrylic still on my nails. the "manicure" is the worst I have ever received in my life. None of my nails are even and they are all different shapes. I will never return, despite whatever apology the owner tries to offer after this review. How on earth are you going to let someone leave a nail salon looking like this?! And charge someone for this?? Absolutely terrible. On top of all of this, I watched the nail tech put the acetone my nails had been soaking in BACK into the bottle. There is no way that is hygienic. Disgusting and dirty. (Trying to give my nails a break) The nail tech laughed at me multiple times when I said no nail color and he thought it was funny my nails were short?? Kind of odd. Went in today for an eyebrow wax for me and my daughter. Never have I ever seen anyone get their eyebrows waxed while sitting up in a chair as my daughter did today. Then the tech Kim got wax in her hair and yanked it out with the strip of wax she was pulling. My daughter was in tears. She eyebrows are uneven. Kim also kept putting the stick in her mouth between dips and didn't get a new stick.... Highly unsanitary. My wax was okay during service but when assessing them at the end they are uneven and cut way too short. Won't be returning here again. read more

There is a lot of talent in this salon but by far some of the worst service and attitudes I have ever experienced. It's like a toxic relationship, they do so good you want to go back but you suffer from the anxiety of accidently upsetting the the short tempered staff. And its obvious they have a hard time keeping staff, it seems like every 3 months there is a new crew cycling. Also, watch out for their extremely inconsistent prices and always ask what they're going to charge because they are sneaky like that. read more

I would never suggest anyone come to this salon. I had a horrible experience. I had to stop the technician before she was going to put color on my nails, and I had to ask if she was going to clean my cuticles and shape my nails?! She had only cut my nails, and they weren't even straight! She didn't understand me, so she called for her manager. The manager had to come and file and clean my cuticles. She passed me back to the original technician after, but she filed my skin (pictures attached) and my pinky nail broke as soon as I left the salon in the car. And I paid $90, are you kidding me?! I've had 10 times better service just paying $50!!! Both Hispanic technicians did not speak English, so it made this very hard. Never going back here! read more

If you're going for an eyelash extension refill DO NOT go here if the only person available is Bria. The worst experience of my life. I wish I could give 0 stars. She said she doesn't speak english- which is fine. However, I said i wanted my lashes to be short and classic. Two hours later, shes still working, because she gave me MEGA VOLUME. Not only this, she let her son be in the room who proceeded to play videos on his phone and talk, which made the experience horrible and uncomfortable rather than relaxing. I am so thankful to have found Timberline Nails and Spa for their microblading services! I was always interested in microblading but put it off because I didn't think I could afford it. I found Timberline Nails and Spa on Facebook and was impressed by their before and after photos. It wasn't until a year passed that I decided to do more research about microblading. While researching, I learned of a microblading technique called Phi Brows in which they use the golden ratio to find your perfect eyebrow shape. I was pleased to find out that Timberline used that technique. They were also having a $50 off deal that I didn't want to miss out on so I decided to go in for a free consultation. I made my appointment with Ly and was very impressed by her knowledge of the microblading process. She explained everything and I knew I would be in good hands. After my first session, my brows went through the healing process and faded quite a bit. Ly did tell me that would happen. She also explained that lighter skin tends to take the pigment more so she would use a lighter pigment the first time around and if any fading occurred she would use darker pigment for the touch-up. I appreciated her taking that precaution so I wouldn't end up with brows that were too dark. I went in for my touch-up a few days ago and I am so pleased with the color and shape! Ly went above and beyond to ensure that my brows were the right shape and size for my face. They are also way more symmetrical than my natural brows used to be. My left brow always grew in lower than my right which bugged the crap out of me in pictures! I looked like this ...well not anymore! Overall, I couldn't be happier with my results. This experience was sad because a terrible guest was sitting with her husband ready for a service and they were running a little behind. She freaked out on the employee/owner..yelling in her face. I felt so bad for the owner and me being from Chicago I do not tolerate bullying someone you know is in fear. She was nuts!!!(the client) the employees were quite and she continued to attack me with words calling me a trashy bitch and talking about my mother who was not there nor lives in the same state as me. Anyways I'm a 30 year old woman who was treated like a princess after this whole thing happened. The guests all said they're great when I was waiting and it is true they are. I found my new nail salon that's for sure! If you guys seen any reviews on here about bad service from someone with a similar story but with them being right... Well ignore it. The manicurists here are very friendly and extremely diligent. They truly want you to be completely satisfied with your manicure. I recommend this spa strongly for acrylics. Context: I recently gave a very bad review for this business because I was unhappy with the work on my acrylic tips. However they were very helpful and redid them for me exactly how i wanted and were incredibly friendly and understanding. If you are unhappy with your manicure or see a problem with the shape or polish or anything make sure to say so during your appointment and they will happily fix the problem. I know it is difficult sometimes to speak your mind during a beauty appointment I know I struggle with it. But the staff here truly want to make you happy with your manicure. read more

I went into Timberline salon the day before they moved their location 2 doors down, I had an appt so I sat down immediately. All I asked for was a simple fill and color change so he went to work. Not only did it take 2 hours, but I was also charged $50!!! My gel polish chipped after 2 weeks and all I was doing was crafting! I've been a client for years...gone to other spas, but always wind up going back. The past couple of times I've gone, I've gotten sub-par services (one manicure and one pedicure). This past weekend, I had a terrible pedicure. I didn't want nail polish, but expected to have a nice experience. My technician hardly removed my cuticles, my nails weren't filed evenly, no massage (just rubbed with lotion...and the wrong kind). Then, to make matters "worse", I had remaining gel on 5 of my toes. They charged me $5 to remove the gel. I was/am pretty annoyed. The technician wasn't very friendly. I expected at least a little massage, something... I gave this place 5 stars initially and that was mainly for Lindsay who has now left. Every time I go in my experience is now subpar. I went yesterday for pedicure and gel manicure. Only went to them bc they're close to my house and emailed me a coupon. Pedicure was fine. They always try to up-sell you on a more expensive one and it was very slow (I was in there over 90 minutes total and I didn't wait at all!). I wanted a matte gel manicure and he said ok we will use the matte topcoat. He made 3 fingers bleed when cutting my cuticles and almost broke a finger during the hand massage. He put the topcoat over a white spec on my nails so now that's sealed. Also this is NOT matte...just less shiny so it looks bad and my nails have ridges and big bubbles. I've gotten tons of gel manicures before this is in my top 5 worst ones. Best part? They tried to charge me an extra $5 for the matte. No extra effort it's just a different bottle of topcoat! And he said nothing about it costing more when I initially asked...only found out at the cash register. Pretty sure I've given this place enough chances. They're expensive, the gel doesn't last and I always leave feeling just "meh". read more

David was my technician and he was very informative about our questions on the difference between gel and SNS. I just had the worst manicure of my life. I am not one to tell a nail tech to redo something if I'm unhappy but this time I had to say something twice and I still walked out I'm of there with nails like this. The tech was rushing and kept getting more and more nervous even though I was not being hostile or visibly upset just slightly annoyed. $60 for this is outrageous the quality is awful and not what I asked for. He should of handed me off to someone else. Instead I wasted 2 hours and $60 Came here today and my birthday and now I want to cry because I feel like I wasted my money. I called and talked with Ly the owner and she admitted she knew he was struggling and asked to see pictures so I could get a refund. Now she says he policy is that I need to come get them removed to get a refund. Why would I waste more time there just to get my money back when I already spent two hours there and now will have to spend more time and money at another salon to get these taken off and redone. As a long time client of Timberline Nails on Timberline, I finally got to get back there after lockdown. My feet looked horrible and the cuticles were a mess. As a hairdresser myself, getting back to work had had its challenges and I will say they ROCKED it. I saw Kim today and I had never had her before. She was wonderful. Such attention to detail, and when it came time for the leg and foot massage, it was amazing. I was so relaxed afterwards I didn't even want to get off the chair. So glad to be back to My favorite nail spa in Fort Collins and get a first rate pedicure. The spa is amazingly clean, they took my temp before I went in, wore masks, white medical coats and gloves. I swore after my first visit here I would never return again. But, it has been five years now I think, so I thought I would give it a shot. I scheduled an appointment online for an Ultimate Spring mani/pedi combo. Like someone else mentioned in another review it asked me what nail technician I wanted. I selected a certain one because it asked me to not because I had anybody in mind. When I showed up for my appointment today I put my name in the book that was set outside the door and a lady greeted me at the door wearing a mask. I told her that I had a appointment with Emmy and she looked at me strangely. She spoke in her language at someone inside and then told me that Emmy felt I'll could I be with someone else. Like I said I only put a name in because that's what their online system required me to do. If it had the option for me to select any technician I would have. But, nonetheless, that wasn't a huge deal. Everybody inside was wearing masks, including the clients, which I appreciated. The pedicure tub I was directed to had a plastic lining. All the technicians had matching white jackets and hats on. They all wore masks and gloves. The tools my technician used came fresh out of a sealed bag. I appreciated all of this. Now came the treatment. The ultimate spring pedi/mani said long massage - I love massages so this is something I pay close attention to.....my massage was 2 minutes each leg. Oh well, I can even get over that. But then the technician started doing my manicure while I was still in the pedicure chair I'm sorry but I am paying good money to get a mani and a pedi. Not to have to stretch my arms over for him to hurry thru my appointment! Right before he started to paint my nails, he put on my flip-flops and put the toe separator on each foot. I like when they do this because I keep my own shoes on. Not 20 seconds from when he put the final coat of polish on my toes he ripped the toe separators out of both feet. He didn't even give the toes a chance to dry. My smaller toes tend to get close to each other so I was worried polish would rub onto each toe. I think you should've left them in until my toes dried. He rushed through my manicure, barely a massage on my arms and then told me to go sit by the fan. I don't mind doing this because normally it's the table fans that are going, well, at this place he just turned onto tiny fans and pointed them towards my hands. He told me to wait 10 minutes and then I could go. I waited 10 minutes and got up to Pay. The technician then proceeded to try to run my credit card a bunch of times and told me he couldn't get it to work. I asked him what it was saying and he had to go get somebody else who could speak English to me. That technician then ran my credit card again and seemed to have made a mistake so he ran a void. I'm going to have to watch my account closely... I went outside, took a phone call and ran into king snoopers to grab a few things. It was at that point I looked down at my manicure and realized how horrible it looked! I only wish I had been paying attention before I left! Two fingers on each hand were smudged. Perhaps 10 minutes wasn't long enough? Or I don't know? It's hot out maybe the polish was melting? I have no idea but my manicure should have lasted more than 10 minutes. Luckily in King Soopers I bought some polish remover and took it off in the car. Ya I probably should've gone back and told them, but honestly being a second bad visit I just didn't think it was worth it. Fingers crossed they fixed the credit card issue and only ran my card once. So....my stars increased by one in 5 years. Maybe another 5 years I'll try again. read more

I came here to get a fill for my acrylic set and was completely disappointed. Not only did the man doing my nails rip chunks of my skin out, but he gave me something I didn't even ask for. The shape of my nails were all different (in length too) and a color I definitely didn't want. Once he was done with my nails he got up and left so I wondered To the front to pay and behold it was $56 for one coat of sheer polish, a choppy cut, and my thumb that needed a whole new nail. Great salon, amazing with pedicures, usually get wonderful service. But went this last Friday, May 14, for a manicure - my technicians name was Nathan and did such an awful job on my nails it made me want to cry. Trimmed and filed so much length off my nails and they were all uneven. Most of them lopsided, with a lot more nail on one side than the other. These are my real nails so they took me awhile to get how I liked them and it broke my heart to see all of their growth thrown away. Was supposed to have Gel painted on but the paint on them was spotty and there was no top coat done. Felt rushed and unappreciated- ended up having to fix them myself when I got home. Again, this salon usually does excellent work but I was thoroughly disappointed for my manicure with Nathan. Put me off trusting others with my nails for a while. read more

I visited this salon on the day of their grand opening (Feb 16)after booking an appointment online the night before. The online process for booking an appointment was quick and easy it's actually a great feature. I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment like instructed in the confirmation email I was sent. The new place looks very nice and modern. One employee came up , greeted me and asked me what I would be getting done today , I told her I had an appointment for SNS dip. She told me they would be right with me after a short wait she instructed me to sit with a technician who was NOT the technician I had requested during booking. She told me " No, no he'll take care of you." I gave the benefit of the doubt since it was grand opening and they seemed busy. He began by cleaning up my nails which went fine. His application of the sns dip was not as thorough as previous sessions as I had at other salons so I asked that he fix a few things which I believe he did to the best of his ability. Unfortunately it was not the best he did cut the side of my finger in his attempt. He also plAced a Gel top coat over the sns which I had forgotten was NOT a part of the sns dip procedure. It has been 8 days since my appointment and the top coat is chipping. I'm not going back and I recommend you not waste your time. Looking back I wish I would've insisted on my technician that I asked for during booking. I will live and learn but I'm not throwing away my money here again! read more

Ok, all the fellow Yelpers. If you have choices, please do not come here. I went in to the place to get three things done, Mani Pedi and Brow waxing. This was my fifth visit, the first four were fine, not impressed. The last visit made me hit my tipping point. The technician I got didn't care to talk to me much just wanted to get things done. I asked her opinions on the colors she didn't have one. The Mani went Ok, pretty fast and she wasn't detail oriented at all. An hour later, two nails were broken. The color wasn't even out on one nail. The highlight was the Pedi, at almost the end of Pedi, the same technician's phone was ringing, she just answered the phone and kept talking. She was on the headphone. She didn't apologize or ask if she can pick up a phone call. I was trying to tell her to touch up something but she was busy and I was completely IGNORED. I think it was ridiculous that when you were on duty you were OK to be in personal cell phone. Seemed like she had an important thing going on on the phone I guess I didn't understand the language. The peak was once the Pedi done she was still on phone and tried to do hand sign to me to move to the brow waxing station. Excuse me! You had to get off your phone to talk to me what I wanted!?! She poked the chair guiding me to come sit and was still on the headset. I was hesitant and surely was gonna say no. She realized that and was upset with my reaction. Can you imagine you are getting your brow waxed and the technician is on phone waxing your brow. Acceptable? Finally she was off the phone and I asked an opinion on my brow shape she yelled at me "whatever you like ok!" I was completely stunned. So rude!
