Was fully pack and hard to find a seat. Although the service was quick and well organized. Food wasn't too bad, expensive for what you're getting. The music was ok but didn't match the vibe of the market.

Overall: A+ // 6 stars Small sample size here as I went to the Paella stall only for a surprisingly impressive lunch. The Seafood Paella I ordered tasted as perfect as it looks. The mussels were cooked spot on, being so large and delicately tender, an impressive feat that is representative of all the seafood. The rice has an intense flavor development from the stock, herbs, and lemon, just being on the verge of al dente for a minimal bite for added texture. The rest of the market features food from every cuisine, and looks high quality for more options. Great option for an elevated food court and choice of meal. The only down side is it can get busy and hard to find a seat but definitely worth it to try and visit all the options. There is also free water and good options for both alcoholic and mocktail drinks! It's also inside the Eaton mall center so you'll have to go inside to find it on the second floor

On our last day in Montreal we were exploring the Underground City and wound our way to Time Out Market for lunch. What a great market. It is very similar to a food court with all types of ethnic foods, but elevated. We read the menus at each one and settled on Chanthy Yen. We ordered two dishes to share. One being the Tempura Battered vegetarian bao buns with cucumber and kimchi and the battered tofu General Tao with rice. Both dishes were fresh, cooked very well, had lots of Asian flavors and were delicious. The young woman that took our order was very nice, and the food came out fast. The entire Time Out Market is black and white, with lots of tables, is modern and clean. There is a beer counter, a wine counter, a bar and lots of little eateries. If you are staying at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth, you can access the Underground City from the lower level of the hotel and walk to the Time Out Market. Will definitely try other Time Out Markets in other cities for sure.

    Ibericos Iberian ham croquettes

I visited two places and both were a strikeout for timeout which was quite disappointing as I visited other timeouts and everything was amazing. I arrived at lunchtime on a weekday so every counter was pretty busy. For an appetizer I stopped at Ibericos and ordered the Iberian ham croquettes. I waited a little over 5 min and got buzzed that my food was ready. After picking up I headed back to my seat and got my first taste. The croquettes were cooked well but the taste of salt was so overpowering there was no delineation between the béchamel and the ham. I was pretty underwhelmed and would not order this again. The second place I visited was Campo where I got the breast with fries and salad and a Nata (Portuguese custard dessert). The chicken was pretty dry but spiced well. The nata (which I saved for later) was the star of the show. Overall I'd get a nata again but choose another place for my main course.

We visited the Eaton Centre the day before and were disappointed with the food court selection, where we ended up overpaying for an overly saucy, super spicy chicken pad Thai and some A&W. It wasn't until later that we discovered the real action was upstairs at the Time Out Market. It definitely felt like we missed out, since we would have much rather spent our money there. We actually came back the next day just to eat at the Market. Parking was a headache--no street parking available ($4.25/hour), so we had no choice but to use the underground, which was a shocking $4.50 every 20 minutes. Finding a spot was also tough, with many cars squeezed into non-designated areas. After circling, we finally exited P2 and found available spots on P1, where fewer people seemed willing to risk re-entering the lot. Between parking and meals, we probably spent around $100 for four people. Food prices were steep--$24 for pizza, $18 for ramen, and $20 for a Caprese sandwich--but everything tasted great, definitely better than the regular food court. The vibes were fun and lively, though seating was hard to come by. I appreciated the little touches like self-serve water and buzzers for each order, which made it easy for one person to pick up food from multiple counters without waiting around. Overall, the food was delicious and the atmosphere enjoyable, but given the prices (especially with parking), it felt expensive for a self-serve setup. Still, it's a way better choice than the Eaton Centre food court.

We stopped in at Time Out Market while visiting the mall. Lots of variety. I'm pretty confident, if you are hungry, you will be able to find something to eat here. Three of the four of us had Indian food; it was delicious. It was loud in the dining area but it was super clean. We saw employees constantly emptying the garbage and wiping down the tables. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Montreal.

This is a high end food court offering a unique variety of restaurants -- not just the common restaurant chains. It's a good experience.

Located on an upper floor of the Eaton center, time out market is essentially an upscale food court that aggregates lots of the host city's best food options under one roof. The lighting is warm, the music is perfect for the setting, and I couldn't help but think as I wandered in, that this would be an ideal place for either a date, or taking a small family, as everyone could get their own choice of high quality food without having to really split off. I had the iberico ham sandwich, and a strawberry lemonade both of which were very good, at least better than you can expect from the typical mall food court, and well worth the price. The vieux Montréal cocktail was also a unique refreshing cocktail that incorporated caramelized absinthe foam (it's better than it sounds, I swear). A great stop for either a tourist checking out the sights, or a local on a date. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our visit to Time Out Market. We stopped for drinks once a few years ago, back when they first opened, and really enjoyed the quality bar. On this visit, we were excited to try the food as well. There were so many options to choose from, but our first stop was Climates. The salad was good but I wish it fit on the plate better, things were sliding off as we tried to eat. The poutine was very good. We also tried the lobster roll, and while I enjoyed all the elements, I wish they were more mixed together. The lobster was layered on top of mayo on top of greens in a way that made it hard to get everything in one bite, and some of my lobster fell off onto the table. When we were done eating, an employee kindly came by and offered to clear our plates. After we ate, we wanted to try some drinks. Unfortunately, the drink areas were very segregated. There was a closed off area by the cocktail bar with lots of seating which was all full. There was a mocktail bar kind of in the middle of the restaurant area. There was also a wine bar not far from the mocktail bar. I was able to grab a mocktail and sit at the wine bar while my husband had a glass of wine, but I wasn't entirely sure if I was supposed to do that. I wish that the drink options weren't so separated so that people in the same group could all enjoy different types of drinks and still sit together comfortably. On the plus side, my mocktail was very good and my husband enjoyed the international selection at the wine bar. On our way out, we stopped to get some cookies to go from tunnel espresso. They were a bit pricey at $5 a cookie, but well worth it. I'd recommend the chocolate brownie praline or the Oreo red velvet! All in all, I'd definitely come back to try more of the many food offerings!

The food here is solid and there's a lot of variety, which makes it a great spot if your group can't decide on one type of cuisine. Everything was clean and the service at most counters was fast and friendly. I liked the space overall, but the super loud house music playing across the whole market really killed the vibe for me. It was 6pm on a Thursday, the crowd was mostly 30s and up, and the volume made it hard to talk to the people I was with. It just didn't match the scene and made it harder to enjoy what's otherwise a cool food hall.

Montreal. I love Timeout Markets. I've been to a few in other cities: Boston, Chicago, Lisbon. I love the convenience, access to the city's local and international plates and for a few dollars more than fast food, you get super tasty, excellent meals. The setting is akin to a large market with communal tables-- feels like a huge family gathering as you more than likely will share a table. The concept is, you pick your food stall, order your food, they give you a buzzer and when the food is ready, you get buzzed, you pick up your food and eat at communal tables. The food quality is first rate, authentic and super delish regardless of what country or locale, you pick. I've not had a bad experience in any of the Timeout markets I've visited. Love it here. We arrived on a weekday at 11:30am and the seating area was very empty. But when we returned at 12:30pm, it was packed and almost difficult to find seating. We ordered a burger combo from Chez Simon to share since we weren't too hungry and the burger was satisfying. I liked how they give you a pager to pick up your order when it's ready so the food was freshly made, but also gave us time to find seating. Overall, the market had a very social vibe with the background music and dim lighting. Good good, but a bit overpriced considering it's like a food court.

I was not super hungry so I ordered the smoked meat on a bagel, Andrew got the sandwich. The food came out fast but not overly fast. My bagel sandwich was tasty. I liked the thin cut of meat. The fries were as soft as mashed potatoes. They were warm but not close to crispy. Andrew liked his sandwich as well. The bathroom was quite the experience, it was at the bottom of a long, steep staircase in the basement. It worked, lighting was ok, but it was a climb out of there! You can also reserve room if you are a big group. There's also a restaurant with various food that we didn't try. We didn't try the arcade, we ran out of time on our schedule but we will come back. The arcade work with a card where you accumulate point that you can spent on things in the gift shop. Like many arcade, the more token you buy, the cheaper the cost per token is. We took the combo that is 1 game of bowling, 1 game of laser tag and 1 round of mini golf. The bowling is with big balls. There's a little ramp for the kids or those that just need a little help. There's only one though so you have to share it across the 8 alley. The bowling itself is nice, alley are straight and clean. There's a wide range of ball weight that should be ok for everyone. The mini golf here is special. It's not a less put parcours, it's a most point. Point are done in 2 ways. Once you put, there's a 60sec timer. The time left once you enter the cup is bonus point. The other way is through the course. There's special tricks that you can do to earn extra points and even lose some. It's a very nice twist and it was fun. We ended with a game of laser tag. I saw the maximum occupancy is 28 players splitter in 2 or 3 teams. We were 6 and honestly, the room is small. Unless there's some hidden wall that get open for more player, I wouldn't see much more then 10 players. 28 would be over crowded for sure. For us at 6, it was perfect. One thing is the room itself is dangerous. Like many laser tag room, it's dark. The problem is they put some stuff like ramp but without anything to show you the edge or worst, they put some theming. Half of us were hurt by the stage. I myself trip, while walking slowly down one of those ramp where I though it was going in a specific direction but no. I ended up falling face first, scratching my knees and nearly broking my finger. My girlfriend opened her elbow while edging a wall and our friend got some similar stuff happened. Another thing is they don't really explain you anything beside how to shoot. There's a lot of stuff in the room that you can shoot and I never knew if it did anything beside some animation. Like a wall that seems like maybe a forcefield that would maybe disable enemy shield if they walk through? I don't know. The gun had 2 way to shoot, a long laser or a short range scatter shot like a shotgun. Was fun to be able to cycle through mode. We still had fun, but the state was dangerous in my opinion. It is a nice place to have a fun spend money. Kids will love it for sure and grown up too
