Fast forward to spring 2025 when I tried to adjust the timing myself and ended up breaking a part. Based on John's recommendation, I called Phil who picked it up and had it at his shop for several months. He had to manufacture a part as well as make numerous adjustments. It took several more home visits and another stay at his shop to finally get it running smoothly. Phil's price was reasonable and although it took a while to get the clock perfectly balanced, he always made it clear I could keep calling him back until it ran smoothly. To other customers, I would say to keep in mind this is not like a 2-hour engine tune-up, especially for grandfather clocks.

I dispatched the watch via UPS and paid the $35 fee for shipping and assessment. The only required repairs were a battery replacement, band replacement, and inspection. I did not receive any confirmation regarding the watch's arrival. After contacting the store via email, I received a response. Subsequently, I received a message indicating that my watch was too old and could not be repaired. I had only requested a battery replacement, but they informed me that they could not open the watch. No email or message inquired if it was acceptable to replace the battery without guaranteeing water resistance after the repair. After several emails and no response, I had to contact the store. I was informed that the watch would be returned without a new battery. I could have saved over a month of time by visiting a local store and having the battery replaced in approximately two hours. However, I believed this was the most appropriate place for this significant watch to be repaired. The sole reason this review does not receive a one-star rating is that I received a refund for the $35. However, upon receiving the watch, I discovered that the band was broken. I can assure you that it was not damaged during transit. Additionally, I found another review of a watch that was returned with a broken band. I strongly advise against sending your watch to this store. Instead, shop locally and have repairs performed. At the very least, there will be some communication. I understand that this is an older watch and may not have significant monetary value. However, it holds sentimental value for me, and to have the watch and myself treated this way is unacceptable.

They did a great job helping him select a diamond and to design the ring. I also got my wedding band at MRT's. It's a great local shop! My mother-in-law's wedding and engagement rings are actually also from here. What has impressed me most about MRT's is their customer service. When one of the tiny rubies fell out of my wedding band early on, they fixed it for free. More recently, I decided to get the wedding band and engagement ring fused together, so that they wouldn't rub together (the side wall of the wedding band was thinning from rubbing). I currently live in California and the price quote I got here for thickening the side walls and fusing the two rings together was $200 more expensive than the quote MRT's gave me. When I took the ring to MRT's, they gave me a price quote based on the time and materials to fix the ring. When they realized later it would take more time to fix the ring than expected, they kept the original price quote, rather than raising it, despite it taking more labor. I just received my rings in the mail from them and am thrilled with the result!

I brought a Grand Seiko watch in that was losing a bit more time than it should. They serviced the…read morewatch in record time which was a bit suspect to me. I got the watch back and even though I asked for a polish (cap gold) that didn't seem to happen. I asked when they called for me to pick up the watch. The response was "I think he did what he could". Odd response it is gold it will polish beautifully but nope. Here is where it gets interesting. I wore the watch for about a week. I also wore a Chronoswiss on my other wrist. The Chronoswiss lost no time in a week. The Grand Seiko lost more than 20 min in a week after just being fully serviced at a very premium price. I called and again I got a less than friendly response and a "well bring it in and they will look at it and decide if they will do anything". Seriously? I paid for service and what I actually got was a cheap $8 watch band for $50 and a plastic crystal and they did nothing else to the watch. I did not want to drive an hour and a half to drop the watch off and it is in the opposite direction of work. This watch should be losing seconds in a week not a healthy part of an hour. I brought the watch to my local jeweler who sends them out to a watch maker. I got it back and sure enough it was not cleaned nor adjusted at all by Delman. I gave the jeweler instruction to get very specific feedback from the watch maker. I wanted to be sure it was not my fault like it got moisture in it since I wore it all week. He said it needed a good cleaning and proper lubrication, and he said there was no evidence of moisture. I just simply got taken or they are just incompetent. Either way I will not use them again. I am a collector and have watches serviced at least a dozen times a year. I have never been treated as rudely or had such poor results from a true watch maker in my life. I read through a few reviews as I was typing this. It seems like if you just have a quartz watch that needs a battery, they can do that and then you will leave 5 stars. That sort of also rings as unusual. Who leaves a review about a battery change? Know who else can change a watch battery the 16-year-old kid in the mall kiosk. If you are a watch collector and enthusiast and you know watches and their service, you will notice there is something not right here. They are rude from the start, and it goes downhill from there. I do not believe they are trained watch makers or they just are scammers. There is no other way to explain my experience that I can come up with.
