He said he would get back to me and and wrote my name and number on the tiny flip page calendar on the desk. Not the best way to treat a potential customer - but needless to say, no one ever got back to me. As I was leaving three women who were not a person of color, walked in and the short older woman emerged from the back and eagerly went to help them. Way to discriminate- just don't bother! Un-American

Why I'm posting this review now is that a jewler here in Chicago just confirmed the ring now contains a CZ crystal. Not a diamond where the repair was done. They won't return my calls and since it's not worth getting an attorney involved, this is my only recourse. Be Warned!

Most of the "WE BUY GOLD" shops that I visited were unattractive and uncomfortable and I had no confidence that they were honest. I happened to be in Warwick and did a Google search for "gold buyers" and Atlantic Metals Xchange popped up. The location is easy to find (near Trader Joe's) and the parking lot is accessible and the store itself is lovely: it looks like an upscale real estate office which is understandable once you learn that the affiliates of this location are located in Greenwich, Ct and Charlotte, NC. The owner is gracious, receptive, knowledgeable, and patient and as other reviewers noted, he was willing to explain how he ascertains the quality of the pieces and assesses the value. (Mostly it's done by simply weighing items once they've been inspected.) Atlantic Metals Xchange offered absolutely fair (the best I encountered) prices in an environment that made me happy to be there. I would definitely recommend it and if I can find some other mismatched earrings, silver, and/or coins, I'll be back. What a welcome alternative to the other metal traders that seem to be everywhere.

I got the watch back and even though I asked for a polish (cap gold) that didn't seem to happen. I asked when they called for me to pick up the watch. The response was "I think he did what he could". Odd response it is gold it will polish beautifully but nope. Here is where it gets interesting. I wore the watch for about a week. I also wore a Chronoswiss on my other wrist. The Chronoswiss lost no time in a week. The Grand Seiko lost more than 20 min in a week after just being fully serviced at a very premium price. I called and again I got a less than friendly response and a "well bring it in and they will look at it and decide if they will do anything". Seriously? I paid for service and what I actually got was a cheap $8 watch band for $50 and a plastic crystal and they did nothing else to the watch. I did not want to drive an hour and a half to drop the watch off and it is in the opposite direction of work. This watch should be losing seconds in a week not a healthy part of an hour. I brought the watch to my local jeweler who sends them out to a watch maker. I got it back and sure enough it was not cleaned nor adjusted at all by Delman. I gave the jeweler instruction to get very specific feedback from the watch maker. I wanted to be sure it was not my fault like it got moisture in it since I wore it all week. He said it needed a good cleaning and proper lubrication, and he said there was no evidence of moisture. I just simply got taken or they are just incompetent. Either way I will not use them again. I am a collector and have watches serviced at least a dozen times a year. I have never been treated as rudely or had such poor results from a true watch maker in my life. I read through a few reviews as I was typing this. It seems like if you just have a quartz watch that needs a battery, they can do that and then you will leave 5 stars. That sort of also rings as unusual. Who leaves a review about a battery change? Know who else can change a watch battery the 16-year-old kid in the mall kiosk. If you are a watch collector and enthusiast and you know watches and their service, you will notice there is something not right here. They are rude from the start, and it goes downhill from there. I do not believe they are trained watch makers or they just are scammers. There is no other way to explain my experience that I can come up with.

So 15 years ago my wife and I bought our wedding bands here from Gail and Steve . About a month ago I lost my wedding band while camping. So after about a month of searching online and at the "other" stores. I went back to see Steve and Gail and told them what had happened. So they asked me to give them a few days to see if they could find our invoice from 15 years ago to match my band. Wouldn't you know they found it and today I have my exact ring! I found the ring of my dreams!! Gail was so polite and took her time to help me. I had a particular ring in mind and chubby fingers so I knew the odds of finding something in-person was going to be a long shot. But the fates were kind and I'm over the moon with it. The husband was so personable and took real pride in cleaning/prepping the jewelry I bought (couldn't resist a few pendants to add to my purchase). I bought a pretty claddagh bracelet from Chief's for St, Patrick's Day. They have some really nice Celtic Jewelry. I found out they even do repair work on jewelry while you wait. Staff was great and I left feeling more like a friend then a customer. You can even have a few laughs while you are there. read more

My mother-in-law's wedding and engagement rings are actually also from here. What has impressed me most about MRT's is their customer service. When one of the tiny rubies fell out of my wedding band early on, they fixed it for free. More recently, I decided to get the wedding band and engagement ring fused together, so that they wouldn't rub together (the side wall of the wedding band was thinning from rubbing). I currently live in California and the price quote I got here for thickening the side walls and fusing the two rings together was $200 more expensive than the quote MRT's gave me. When I took the ring to MRT's, they gave me a price quote based on the time and materials to fix the ring. When they realized later it would take more time to fix the ring than expected, they kept the original price quote, rather than raising it, despite it taking more labor. I just received my rings in the mail from them and am thrilled with the result!
