Today was the first time I went here to get a watch battery. It was an old watch which belongs to my father. The watch repair person told me it was 10 dollars to replace a battery which was normal to me. After opening the watch we found out there were 3 batteries, but only one was needed to function for time keeping. She helped save me money, because it was an old watch and my father is 76 and just wants the watch to run. She was professional and efficient. I was also glad that she accepted credit cards. Rate 0+. Wrong size gasket installed, which caused broken pin. Never cleaned, as he said he did. Several battery replacements, with half-dead batteries. Charged each time. Went elsewhere, where watch was properly repaired, with correct parts, while I waited. I was shown the dirt inside. read more

Armen was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and was a certified Omega repair specialist which is rare and hard-earned. He completed the adjustment in just a couple of minutes and his price was much less than anticipated. I brought in a Swiss Army watch that stopped running and was told it needed a new movement. After the repair, the watch sat for months before I wore it again. But it would only run properly if it sat in a drawer, not if I wore it. When I brought it back, I was told it needed a new movement! Most disappointing was that the owner just would not accept that he had done the work wrong. He told me it needed another, new movement. But I had him put the battery in again it started to work properly. read more

I just picked up my hand me down vintage watch and couldn't be more pleased. It's a mechanical vintage watch ~50 yrs old and it looks brand new. They replaced the clasp, and serviced the mechanical part, buffed the crystal and face and it looks so good. Works perfectly, very pleased- nice work!! read more

I just moved here from across the country and after reading Nick B's review I was really excited to have a local watch repair shop right around the corner from my house that could work on girlfriends Tag and Jaeger-LeCoultre. HOWEVER, my first experience here was trying to sell gold.... Maybe a watch shop should not try to do other things.... I had HORRIBLE service dealing with the OWNER PERSONALLY. He did not weigh the item in front of me. Then he told me it weighed half of what it really weighs claiming the stone was most of the weight. Yes, I weighed it before I came to your shop. DUH. He offered me substantially lower than the spot value and would offer no explanation as to how he crafted his number, " That is my price--sorry" were his exact words. Wow! He was apologizing to me before trying to take all my money. Classy. I continued to ask questions as to how he calculated his figure (spot price for gold at the time of this review was $51.07 per gram for 24k) at which point he gave me a blank stare and said again, "That is my price." The amount he offered me equated to him taking 90% to 95% of HIS CALCULATED VALUE according to HIS ESTIMATED WEIGHT without the tiny stone. Basically, he was offering me the spot value for 1 gram of this quality gold. When he himself had told me it PROBABLY WEIGHED 8 grams WITHOUT THE STONE. So no matter how you cut it he was trying to take me for a ride. If the item actually weighed what he said he was still taking much more that the traditional 30% to 35%. Yes. Other people in the world can do math and solve formulas. Oh, and write reviews! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AT THE RI WATCH SERVICE. In my opinion if one is willing to screw another over some scrap gold imagine what that individual could do if you actually gave them your highly valuable watch. Wow, so rude. From the moment I walked in, the man at the counter was unfriendly and really abrupt. He acted like I was totally unwelcome. Instead of explaining what was wrong with my watch, he acted like it was the biggest inconvenience to him to have to order a new clasp. I tried to explain something and he cut me off. I have seen some pretty bad business owners but this jerk takes the cake. I have a beautiful mans Movado watch that was only 4 years old and in mint shape. I sent it to Florida once a year by mail to have a battery installed, only because it was a great friend that owns a jewelry repair place there. The turn around was only 4 days so i figured no big deal. I then found out about this place and heard it was about a $10 deal and it was done on the spot. Well.....this guy installs a battery and sends my girl home with it. I put it in my drawer, pulled it out a week later and realized it was working but not keeping the right time. She brought it back right away. He tells her the battery is fine but the movement needs replacing......really ?? Said it would be $125 to fix. She said lets leave it here and ill check with him to see what he wants to do. I call my friend in Florida and give him the news.....he laughed. He said the chances of that breaking are slim to none seeing as though i wear it about once a month. He insisted i have her go get it and send it to him. Well, she picks it up, only to give it to me and now it doesnt work at all....REALLY ?? I gave him a call and demanded he tell me what really happened to my watch. Told him i believe they broke it so that i would be forced to fix it. His response was "YOU GO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR WATCH ASSHOLE......and hung up !! I had the clasps of my watch repaired here. The employees were extremely helpful. The customer service her is exceptional. I had my watch back in a very short amount of time and the price was extremely reasonable. I would recommend this shop to have my watches fixed. Could not properly install the correct spring bar for a 1960's Kreisler coffin link band. He instead installed the wrong size and dented one of the links. I would rather you tell me you don't have skill, or part to do the job correctly...IDIOT! read more

Yes, he is may be fast and professional in replacing watch's battery, but he is not a professional dealing with jewelry items. In particular, I left my golden ring with slightly loose prongs holding an emerald. When I picked up my ring, I came home and found out that the emerald was damaged, but the owner of RI Watch didn't tell me what he had done to my ring (Unfortunately, I was without glasses at his store). Some time later I had a problem with my watch movement. That was my second and last mistake when I took my watch to the same place. The movement was replaced as I was said, but in three month the watch's movement stopped working again. In response to my complain I received an answer, that I was responsible was a mulfunctioning movement, because I, most likely, got some water inside. The service, I am talking about, was in 2012, but the movement inside was 2001 - watch's original !!! I think there is no need for any comment about this. read more
