I walked in and the short older woman took one look at me in sweats and regular Lands End jacket and she yelled something I didn't recognize and quickly left to the back - no one else was in the store at the time. A msn comes out and I explained I wanted to replace the center stone on a vintage ring and I believed they had experience with old pieces. He looked at it and said it would cost couple of hundred dollars for a sapphire or something similar; I said ok, however I explained that I was thinking about a particular gemstone. He said he would get back to me and and wrote my name and number on the tiny flip page calendar on the desk. Not the best way to treat a potential customer - but needless to say, no one ever got back to me. Had a good experience with the purchase of my bracelet in December. Then I decided to change my setting in January. Has been a nightmare since then. Had to take the setting back at least 5 times because the stone kept becoming loose. I was told by the owner Seb because it was platinum and I had a princess cut it was more difficult. Well I have had a princess cut for 9yrs with no problems. I believe everything I was I was told. Well after I came back from my anniversary trip in July and just having it returned to me once again for it being loose I decided to go back to white gold. I was told I would get next to nothing for the setting I just bought in January for 2k. I received no text back. So I went on to another place I was familiar with and picked out a beautiful wedding set in white gold. Within 1hr I receive a call that my Diamond had a significant chip in it on the outside to come in. I immediately was shocked and started to cry. Thank god I had insurance because this chip was on the outside of the stone and could be seen with the naked eye if held up to the light. I have never chipped a stone and I knew right there who did it! It cost my insurance company 20k to replace me stone because of the incompetence of this jeweler. I was more hurt that in the end when I confronted them it was well I could have because I am only human??!! I am crushed and saddened because that stone had a lot of meaning to me and I was lied to! Also what I bought in January all of a sudden has no monetary value in August?? Never again will I trust and think people are honest!!!! read more

I set up an appointment with Sebouh for an appraisal. He was professional, courteous, friendly, and very reasonably priced. While he was performing the appraisal I was able to look around and they have beautiful pieces. I also had a vintage ring looked at that needs repair and his quote was very reasonable. My husband and I went there today to get a ring sized. We had gone to Baxter's and they wanted $130.00 which we were not willing to pay. We came here in our local community and they were so fair. They also noticed a few claws on the ring needed repairing and all told they asked $46.00. That won us over big time. Once we started chatting with the owner and his son about what jewelry they had to offer we put a few items on hold and will be going there for all our jewelry purchases. If they do not have what you want they will make it or adapt it. I love that it is a family run business and they do all repairs in house. Can't say enough good things about this place. read more
