It really is a shame that I can't leave less than a one star review. A negative 5 star review might be better suited for this business. As soon as I walked into the shop I was attacked. Like a shark to blood the salesman was instantly upon me. Now normally, I'd welcome a warm greeting, but this was more along the lines of an obnoxious, "What don't you have enough money to buy from us today?" Perhaps it was the way I was dressed, or maybe because I didn't respond to the salesmans' initial cry for money. He immediately noticed the watch I was wearing, made a snark, sarcastic remark regarding it and walked away. At the same time another worker happened to notice that I was looking at their display that carried the same watch brand I was wearing and made another remark. I left upset and feeling judged. No customer should be made to feel inferior for their own personal taste. I had every intention of purchasing a watch that day, but I'm sure they don't need money to stay in business. read more

We have come here for years and received good service from the gentleman who is usually doing watch repairs. However, today the young man who was working was extremely rude. He and the woman working there made us feel very uncomfortable. They both seemed irritated that we wanted to wait for our repair since we didn't have other errands at the mall. The lady told us there was a 20% discount on watches while we clearly were only waiting for repairs. He was unable to find me bands for either of my watches. The usual gentleman has never had a problem doing so. He tried to convince me that a band the same size as the one on the band was bigger, which it wasn't. He insisted that there were no sizes between my band (from this shop) and a large band that was too big and said XL on it. He also insisted that a brown band looked okay with my gold face after he could not find a black one. It was very awkward that he was searching for bands in a plastic bag. The other gentleman never had to do this. I had to ask multiple times for an adjustment on my metal band and it is still too tight. He also seemed irritated instead of trying to ensure it was correct. $26 for a battery, a band adjustment, and putting pins in a watch is a bit much. Nothing is itemized, so definitely seems like a ripoff. It seems like it's time to find another place for watch bands and batteries from now on. read more

I visited Time Spot to purchase one watch but found myself purchasing a several watches. They have a great selection of beautiful watches and the store owner and staff was friendly and very patient with me. My overall watch buying experience at Time Spot was great and I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a quality watch. read more

This review is an addition to my recent review... a couple of months ago. I had my watch battery replaced, they didn't give me a receipt because they're so rude, disorganized, and confused. I wasn't concerned about my $10. The battery is supposed to last a year and it died within a couple of weeks. This place is terrible. I don't know how they stay in business. I asked to return a very expensive watch which I had tried to return weeks ago, so they made me come back (I live 180 miles away) I came back and asked for the owners name and he would not give it to me and he flat LIED and told me the watch had been worn, sorry. I am very very disappointed and upset about the service here. I personally know the owners....very nice people. But they should not be in the business of repairing watches or replacing batteries if they don't have the proper tools/professionals to do it honestly. My Breitling watch was a wedding gift. I have never gone to anyone for a battery replacement other than a jewelry store--and they usually send it out. I've had my watch for almost 20 years with no problems. After having my battery replaced here, while I waited, it now takes on moisture. The very first day after leaving the store, my watch steamed up with moisture. I knew immediately that I had to take action if I was going to save my $2000 (!!) watch from the moisture damage. I sent it to Breitling.....$380 later, and hopefully it will arrive back in 6 weeks....... I obviously had a lapse in judgement. My actions were driven by "knowing someone in the business" and convenience. I didn't check Yelp--why should I, I know them..... Selling watches? Yes Repairing/Replacing batteries? NO Extremely saddened by the outcome. I can only hope that the watch will be restored to it's original condition. This is the only Yelp review I've ever written. I'm not one to complain. But i feel it's important to WARN you if you're considering having a watch repaired here or battery replaced. read more

This is by far one of the worst watch stores I have ever been to. The owner is very rude, argumentative, and impatient. It made me feel uncomfortable to be asking to look at watches when the owner seemed annoyed by my requests. The owner only acts friendly if you are about to purchase a watch, at which point he becomes all smiles. On another note, the watches are all overpriced, although the selection is admittedly large. Services are expensive as well, and it will costs you $15 to get a watch strap or bracelet adjusted when you could do it at home at very little cost with the right tools. The store's return policy is also absolutely ridiculous. They will not accept ANY returns on watches that have been even worn once or adjusted (even if they were the ones who adjusted it for you). If you do return a watch that has been untouched, they do not offer any returns and only give you in-store credit that has an expiration date of ONE YEAR. If you want an enjoyable watch buying experience with even barely satisfactory customer service, I would strongly advise you to look elsewhere to buy a watch. I have been shopping here for several years now and thought it was time for me to write a review. I have purchased many watches, both inexpensive and more expensive. I have brought several of my wife's watches in for battery changes. Every single experience has been extremely positive, pleasant and excellent service. This is why I keep going back. Most of the time I deal with Fred, the owner, who is very knowledgeable and helpful. I have been in the store many times and observed other customers come and go and I have never seen any rude or discourteous actions by Fred or the staff (as some people write). In fact, I have sent friends over to his store and they all report great experiences and happy with whatever their result was. It is quite surprising to me to read some of these negative reviews given my personal experience and the experiences of my wife and friends. Maybe it's just not possible to please some people. I can shop where I like but I keep coming back to Time Spot because of the great selection of good quality watches and super customer service. read more
