I needed a good deep tissue massage on this Christmas Day, but my regular massage therapist is out of town for the holidays so I walked over to a nearby spa, Times Square Men's Spa at 44th & 9th, and got Adam. The space seemed very clean during my visit. The therapists had face masks on and there were hand sanitizers throughout the space. The day started off with gentle snowflakes which turned to frozen rain once the sun went down. Had some time to kill before my show, so decided to dry out, warm up and relax at Time Square Men Spa. Looks a little shady from the street, but it's clean and warm inside. I set my frozen wet socks in front of the heater fan in my room and set back to enjoy a great massage. Alvin delivered!! THE WORST MASSAGE I EVER HAD. The person was not trained at all and did not do any actual massage. He was a bumbling guy who just ran his hands up and down my legs the whole time and did not actually squeeze any of my muscles. He was completely inexperienced and his fingernails were long and he kept accidentally scratching my skin which was painful. If I could give zero stars I would. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL. I visited Times Square Mens Spa last week. They were able to accommodate me without an appointment and I found the place to be clean and quiet. I was disappointed with my massage. My masseur, Chris, I'm afraid did not know what he was doing. He maintained soft pressure although I asked for hard more than once. His massage had no game plan, he was all over the place. I recently discovered this place when I was 2 hours early for another appointment in the area and needed to kill time. How lucky for me because my experience here was great. I've been back several times over these past few weeks and have tried their 4 therapists. With my line of work, I get massages frequently and sometimes. twice a week, so I'm always looking for new places to check out in hopes of finding a great therapist to go to. This place has 4 therapists who are all equally talented and equally skilled. They all have different styles and methods to make you feel relaxed, refreshed, and renewed. If you're looking for a very strong and deep massage then Phillip and Andy are the 2 to check out, while Alven and Mike and transport you into another world during their sessions. Most places have 1 or 2 therapists who are amazing and the rest of the staff is mediocre at best...here every one is amazing. Since their location is below street level I thought it was going to be small and gloomy. To my surprise, the space is well designed, very inviting and extremely clean (and of course everyone/everything is up to covid standards), with private rooms for each appointment. I've only had one hiccup when trying to schedule an appointment for the following week and think it was a language barrier issue with the person I was dealing with....and it was quickly resolved. You'll be lucky to have any of these guys work on you. Having been there 6 times within the last month, I wish any one of the therapists I went to in the beginning had mentioned the card they give you, which allows you a free massage after your 10th visit. It wasn't until I read a review on here that mentioned this, so when I went back I asked for it and got it. Unfortunately, they wouldn't give me any credit for any of my past visits. It is what it is and it doesn't take away from the amazing work they all do! Get your self there ASAP and I look forward to hearing who your favorite therapist is! read more

I worked with most of the masseurs at Time Square Spa. All are great. They are relaxed, focus on problem areas, and fully professional. The inside is clean and relaxing. The rooms are well appointed with low keep music and low lighting. All of the masseurs are welcoming and well trained. Adam, Mike, and Alvin are especially talented. I tired TSMS after several reviews and my schedule being in midtown. It's a small space, they have two rooms with showers which are great. I received a 90 min massage from Alven, he is incredible strong ! I had asked for a deep tissue and my back and shoulders are in tight shape, this was the first time I've ever had to say pull back on pressure. He also giving great stretching that was helpful, for my legs and gluts. He was agreeable to using my massage lotion as I have allergies, I appreciated that. The rates are great ! I had Robin and his massage was very technical and strong like a sports massage . This is a massage place for men who prefer getting massages by men. Many of the masseurs here worked in another spa nearby. All are excellent and well trained, the reason I continued to go to the original spa and why I will continue to visit this new spa. The spa itself is new, nicely painted, and cert welcoming. The massage rooms are spacious and clean with controlled lighting the tables are solid, even with a larger guy like me. What really makes me return are the masseurs. All are well trained and have experience. All have quickly accessed that I hold stress in my shoulders and gave them the attention they needed. Each asks about my preferred pressure and are accomating. Most of the masseurs are Asian and we're trained abroad. They use a lot of compression work initially, which is different from the usual oiled Swedish style. They will eventually move to Swedish to finish working out knots and stress. I have nothing but praise for the full staff. If you are looking for a solid, professional massage, I highly recommend the Time Square Spa. read more

Avoid this place! I had been going to this place almost biweekly for a massage with Phillip. My experiences with him was great. However, I called for an appointment and was old Phillip was available. When I arrived, someone else was there to greet me. His name is Adam. The massage itself was horrible. During the massage Adam touched me inappropriately. Then he asked me how much of a tip was i going to leave him. I replied, "I have no idea." He then said $125 and I did not pay much attention to him as the massage was still happening and I was on the table. I looked up and he had removed his pants and asked it I wanted to perform oral sex on him. I was in shock. Then he walked to the front of the table and gestured for my head. By this point I was horrified and got up. I was still in shock. I got dressed and went to the desk. I was outraged and only said and "how much." I was embarrassed and ashamed. Adam then told me $180. I paid and ran out of the door. I was devastated and felt horrible. Five weeks later, which was a few days ago, I attempted to make an appointment with Phillip. I was told he was leaving for the day, but someone else was available. I made sure it was not Adam. A tall Asian male with glasses attempted to do a massage. it was worst than my experience before. He only rubbed my back with one hand, and his cell phone rang. My back was covered with oil. The rubbing did not feel like a massage. The massage was supposed to be for an hour and not only did I not get a massage, but the session started at 10:20 and by 10:50 I was dressed and at the counter. I was charged for an hour massage. I then complained about both of my experiences. The gentleman at the desk apologized and gave me a card with two initials on it and told me I can get a free massage after visiting the spa several more times. I am outraged and will be going to the police department to file a report. read more
