Equipment broke called the customer service department they said you can stop in and get a new modem. I asked specifically if I needed to turn the old modem in to get the new one they said yes but it could be done at a later time. Long story short my wife stopped to get the new modem and they would not swap out without old modem. Piece of crap equipment, over priced service. I have been a spectrum internet and mobile customer for 7 years and will be switching my service. Also the lady in the store had a horrible attitude. Called Spectrum several times in advance of our move to ensure service would transfer to our new address. Was told each time that the transfer prep had been completed and that all we needed to do is set up the equipment. Two weeks after moving in Spectrum abruptly disconnects our internet and erases all the data on our account, presumably this service cancellation was intended for our old address. We are switching to AT&T later this month. read more

I would give them a zero if it was available to give. We have their cable and Internet and live out in the New Albany area. We pay for the top-notch service so that we could have the best cable possible however, the audio has a mind of its own, most networks come in and out as they want when switching channels and there's a lot of digital interruption even though we paid for the best service. Also, the price keeps going up for some reason with no explanation from spectrum and just found out today that the Internet service will be going up by 30% with no warning. Be warned if you can get some other provider in this area do so we are stuck with this one provider only and are seriously considering switching to satellite, which has better prices and probably less digital interruption. read more

I called in the middle of the month to have my cable disconnected. I was told to contact them "AT THE END OF THE MONTH". I took the cable box in on the 27th. They billed me for another month, on the 26th. Then, refused to give me a refund. When I did exactly what I was told to do. Spectrum does NOT care about their customers. This is by far the most blood sucking corrupt company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with the service is horrible so I called in to port over to another company I was told I would be able to return my device for the balance that was left on it by the "mobile billing specialist" as they are called went in to turn in my device in person was told to screw off they do not have to honor what I was told by the representative because he was wrong and that's my problem called back just to be transferred 5 times to get ahold of a supervisor and was told to kick rocks because that employee was misinformed and there was nothing they can do about it so here I am with a locked paper weight that is worth $150 unlocked on a good day still locked and disabled they do not care and said one you pay the balance on the device $588.10 we will unlock it so you can sell it for $150 other than that there is nothing that can be done do not use this company I was lied to then told it's not there problem -10/10 screw spectrum I hope karma gets you and yours I hope you can live with this knowing how everyone is struggling right now and still doing this this is the worst experience I've ever had read more

(A great PR strategy, they say. It at least makes them look more competitive than other internet providers.) Act 5: The former owner of the coffee shop walks home. He gets his bill for internet from the mailbox. The woman living below him calls Spectrum and requests new internet service ($44.95). "It always seems to be cheaper and work faster when you setup a new account," they say. The Spectrum rep on the phone found it strange that this woman's voice sounded like a man's falsetto. She said she was feeling kind of sick tonight, and thought nothing of it. Act 6: The former owner of the coffee shop decides to not only cancel his internet with Spectrum, but to send a demand letter to reimburse him for several months of outages. if I could rate them 0 stars right now I would. I just moved and trying to connect my service and I work from home. they sent me my equipment to hook up myself which I don't mind but nothing works. I then called spectrum just for the guy on the phone to have me try every Jack in my house, meanwhile all he wanted to do was say do do do in my ear instead of actually helping. then proceeds to tell me that someone would call me back. in the meantime I'm supposed to be without internet which I need for work and school until the 5th. I have been with spectrum for about 2 years now so why I needed brand new equipment for a move I will never understand. I'm highly disappointed. read more

Absolutely horrendous. Spectrum is thee worst in customer service, pricing and fulfilling their word. If you Time Warner was bad, don't be shocked if you tell Spectrum to shove it. Internet went up $20 for 20mbps. Spent a grand total of roughly 6 hours upon 7 phone calls to them about adding service. Have been quoted 3 different prices and they won't honor any of them but the most outrageous price. If I could give them a negative 5 I would. In the short time they have been Spectrum, I'm ready to leave them and it's only been a month and a half. Wow, or the data limited AT&T I would have never, ever considered, has now became a player for my service. So to help you understand, we called them for internet. They came out and installed it on my daughter's room. Didn't want the modem there to begin with, but whatever I'll live. So we move forward a month I decide to add a landline phone. Internet speeds supposed to increase to 60mbps and phone added total price $64.98 after taxes and all. They can't honor the price they told me....... Hold on, what? Had more technicians come out to move the modem and they can't because the wiring. Ok fine I can wait. Then I'm told on the phone that if they come out again I'll be charged when I don't own this apartment in the first place. Last I checked it's not my place I own, so wiring is not my fault your technicians can't do the job they were sent out and if I knew they would encounter this problem I wouldn't have even wasted my time calling to add service and move the modem. Spectrum dropped the ball on this one. I personally wouldn't consider them for anything. If you can go elsewhere, I highly suggest calling them last if not at all. Went to the 4183 Buckeye Parkway location Grove City to switch out my router and modem for the third time in a matter of six months. Which is extremely irritating especially when having to deal with KIANA one of the rudest, nastiest, unprofessional ghetto squirrel that I have ever encountered in a customer service oriented environment. I'm am 1000% that KIANA at 4183 Buckeye Parkway Grove City Ohio location is going to cause spectrum to loose many many clients with her disgusting distasteful demeanor. I have been a long time customer of Time Warner, now Spectrum. We stopped in on a Saturday to get a new digital box. I was promptly greeted and there was no wait. The associate was able to help me find ways to reduce my bill and gave me helpful instructions on using Spectrum TV app on my smart TV instead of a digital box. It works great. She also told me how to find Wi-Fi hot spots around town so I don't use all my wireless phone data. The store was clean and neatly organized and had numerous televisions on display. Really enjoying my cable and internet service. read more

Spectrum has been by far the worst company to do business with, I have had a personal and business account with them and have noticed on both sides they have horrible internet service, customer service has been misleading/fraudulent, billing department is a circus, Equipment Return department seems to lose track of equipment or steals it, installation is not done correctly and generally they rush/ equipment is on splittlers. I highly recommend finding a different company to carry your services. business or personal. Internet service: I have lots of trouble with my internet service I have one of there best offers in our location and I will get outage and our computers and phones will not work. We will have very slow speeds some days. When complaining about this all they ever do is say it will be up as soon as possible. Customer service: There is nothing worst than being upset and having to explain your story 10 times to every different department. I have even lead with, there is nothing you can I need to speak with ******* so they can resolve my issue. They continue with "well I need to put in a summery on my end". Once talking with their department I have been promised follow up calls or emails. NEVER have they followed through. I have asked for reference numbers and was told "we do not have those, they get posted to your account" (we have multiple accounts.) Promises are made and never kept on spectrums end. Our business has grown and we relocated to a larger location, over the years this has happened twice. When I moved location both times they were suppose to TRANSFER the account. Instead of Transferring the account they opened a new account and never closed the old account. Spectrum then sent the old location to collection because they failed at Transferring and closing. This happened both times. This caused billing issues. Billing department: Once old location was a "closed account" they kept taking payment for the new location and putting it on the old locations account. Spectrums excuse was it's our computers fault. This happened for 6 months and they kept telling me they fixed it and I would have to call back each month. Equipment Return department: When spectrum changed over and told me I needed new equipment for my service because I have faster internet now, they came by and picked up the equipment and gave me a receipt. When closing account now they say they never got the equipment. SAVE THE RECEIPT PEOPLE.. They do not follow though. Installation: My 1st complaint is they do not show up when they say they will show up. For my house location, they gave me an hour window and then showed up at my business location. For my Business location they needed to run lines and they kept sending someone out that was not capable and would have to resource with a new tech. At our home location everything is on splitters and they would not run lines where I needed them. They wanted me to have cords across the floor. I find them Lazy as a whole. read more

I know this is cliche but ZERO stars are not an option. They have been out to our home 3 times in the last 2 weeks and twice of those appointments were 1 day apart. We have Ayer another so called "service appointment" tomorrow. We have been without internet for 4 days. The last 2 "service calls" they said they fixed but it quit working 6 hours after they left. I have called customer service 5 times, spoke with 2 managers and still have no service. With wife send kids all working and going to school from home. Everyone there says "I'm so sorry, i understand, I apologize ". All of this is worthless. Because the one thing you need to do is fix the internet yet you will not send anyone out. The last time my wife spoke with them they said they would have someone from "leadership" call us...... NEVER HAPPENED!!!! Worst company ever. Have been a customer for over 40 yrs. Horrific customer service, totally unaffordable. Unlike time Warner, they are not willing to give the customer a break on their bill. TWC would always find a promotion to lower your bill, can't say that for spectrum. Customer service rep are rude and unknowledgeable. Even techs that have been to my house say how awful they are. Finally cut the cord. Good ridence spectrum. Hope some other company comes in and runs you in the ground! read more
