Meeting him was an absolute pleasure. He was kind and gentle with his explanation of what he does, how he came about tending clocks big and small and what he could do for my clock. I could tell how much he took pride in his work. He restored my clock, explained how to keep it running and encouraged me to call if there were more questions. His invoice was lower than I would have expected from a journeyman in these current times. I was absolutely enamored with his skill and kindness. I asked what the service was and he said they replaced the battery, the gasket and put silicone sealant on it, I said I just wanted the battery done, and he said they use $15 Swiss batteries. Well, Renata 377 batteries are about $1.30/ ea. and it takes about 5 mins to pop the back, replace the battery, and put it back on. If I ever need a $480/ hour business I guess I know what to do now. naturally, I declined to ever do business with them. Further I will advise other not to do business with them as well.

I was referred to Official Time Watch in Utah and decided to call them to find out more about the process. They service both Omega and Rolex and you have the option of bringing in your item or sending it in (insured and tracked--registered mail) to the store for assessment and repair/service. I checked out their website and also saw some other reviews just to make sure they were the ones for me. I like that they provided an estimate for how long it would be for turn around time, recommended methods of shipment, and were very communicative regarding every step of the way. I was emailed detailed photos and explanations and inquired about every little thing pertaining to the watches. I also received an itemized invoice with specific and pertinent photos. And was given a phone call to verify what action to take for each watch. The email I received also included information for return of the item and a signature confirmation upon receipt.
