Great pit stop for a beer. Feels like a friendly, local crowd. Beer with a side of peanuts.

Parking is a bit of a pain, but the coffee was worth it! I got their Strawberry latte (seasonal) and Banana latte (seasonal). Both were delicious, but I preferred the strawberry as it was a little sweeter! We also got the red eye and the chocolate cold brew! The chocolate cold brew was a bit sweeter than I expected which I liked since I'm not a big coffee drinker. The red eye was also yummy and strong!

I initially tried to place an online order through their website but they weren't taking online orders at the time so I ended up walking in to order. Located in between several industrial companies, it can be easy to miss if you're not looking. Plenty of street parking along the front or just across the street. The shop is segemented into 3 connected sections; the main room where orders are taken, crafted, and served along with bags of coffee beans. The connected room had shirts, sweatshirts, and a fridge with grab n go items. The back room, had a few vintage pinball machines along with some tables and chairs. That'd be such a fun place to hang out at! Ordered a vanilla latte with almond milk and ice maple latte, also with almond milk. Both were wonderfully crafted and provided the morning jolt needed.

Insomniacs and those looking for a solid cafe with good food beware…read more I've gone to dr insomniacs a number of times simply because it's the only cafe in downtown Novato. Like the previous reviewer said, this place is firstly overwhelming. The mile long menu boards are dizzying. I just want a solid Latte made with great coffee. I'm never in the mood to read a novel before I can order my coffee. The baked goods case looks like pure sadness and depression. They all look like they've petrified in that case for at least a month if not longer. You'd be better off at Whole Foods honestly and I say that begrudgingly because we all know the evil that took over that joint. It's shocking this place has this many stars, but I chock that up to Marin having some of the worst food options in the SF Bay Area. Such a shame because the location and the space are stellar. Stay far away from this doctor, they'll give you a case of the blues.

Coffee is flavorful and served very hot (looove) and it's just so delicious. The scuffin is super tasty, fresh, and just the right mix of crispy edges and soft center. The store is super hip and fresh and restrooms are clean. Service is quick and kind. So glad this place is in Novato as it's a great 'third place' at a time where those are few and far between.

They make good pastries here and they are very serious about making great coffee. The service is very good and it's a great place to sit and work on your laptop. On my most recent visit, I tried their specialty hot latte which was called the Worker Bee Latte. It had bee pollen and honey, of course, plus a touch of mint. I enjoyed it, although it tasted almost like a healthy drink because of the bee pollen! I typically enjoy their gluten free pumpkin muffin, which is delicious! This location of avid doesn't have as many food options as their Santa Rosa location, but it's all still very good. They have some fun merchandise here, and my wife bought one of their t-shirts the other day.

Quality of the lattes was mid. Just tasted like steamed milk. The barista kept pouring out milk and espresso after steaming and brewing it for some reason, so maybe the machine wasn't working right? Hot chocolates for the kids were well received. They use a liquid chocolate base with steamed milk on top.

SO many croissant, muffins, bread, cake, and other pastries to choose from. They have specialty shelf stable chocolate and snacks and a display full of beautiful desserts! ** pistachio cream puff (4.5/5): unlike the more traditional choux shell, this one was laminated like croissant dough-- fun! The cream was also thick enough to not leak everywhere and didn't taste artificial. Really enjoy this one! ** strawberry and cream chiffon cake slice (3.5/5): didn't really feel like a chiffon cake or maybe it was on the drier side. It worked well with the mascarpone frosting though, which was smooth and a little too rich for me by itself. There wasn't too much strawberry besides the sweet jam layer in the middle. ** Brutta mi buoni (4/5): translated to "ugly but delicious," this craggly meringue actually caught my eye and curiosity for its looks. I'm usually not a fan of meringues, but this one was loaded with nuts and was tasty. Kind of tastes like a refined version of those Lucky Charms cereal marshallows in a good way! Happy with my little haul at Stellina Pronto! They were friendly and had a few window seats + outdoor seating. I'll probably stop by next time I'm in the area to try some new items. Definitely check them out if you're nearby!
