They have a few tables outside with umbrellas, plus a large seating area inside with two rooms of tables, couches, high tops, and cozy seating areas to sit and chat. On entry, they have a large to go section with all their roasted beans and blended teas. We got all our items to enjoy there - various coffees and a few pastries made at a bakery nearby. The staff were all welcoming and friendly, talking us through exactly what we wanted. Being a weekend, it was a constant stream of happy customers, definitely a popular spot. Prices were reasonable for the quality.

I ordered the salted maple matcha with oat milk (less sweet + extra matcha) and cornbread (last one of the day). I was told another small business supplies this place with its baked goods! I found the cornbread to be a bit dry, but it's possible it had been sitting out for a while. The matcha itself had an overly bitter aftertaste. As someone who considers herself a matcha connoisseur, I found the bitterness went beyond what I personally enjoy. It overpowered the drink rather than enhancing the matcha flavor! If I order it again, I'd probably keep the sweetness level the same while still adding extra matcha powder. I don't have any notes for the cold foam. My boyfriend and I sat outside for about an hour enjoying our time and talking about the new Spiderman movie. It's a great place to relax and enjoy the morning. Overall - 3/5.

In the back is the master roaster machinery, and a nice lounge with pinball machines to hang out in and create conversation with other patrons. The staff is real knowledgeable and real personable and frequently make me laugh, and they know their product very well and will share information with the consumer. It's OK to ask a question and they won't yell at you if you want cream in your coffee. They do keep it behind the counter in the refrigerator, by request only. For some reason, coffee always taste better to me on site than at home. Maybe it's the temperature of the water, maybe it's just the ambience and the brief conversation? I don't know but I prefer to have my cup outside of the home. I'm a rather social being. The owner has a knack for hiring, competent, talented and friendly staff! Truly the BEST coffee anywhere, seriously...... maybe that's why they won so many awards?! Beans are available daily and frequently with half-price sale on your second bag. A great gift to send somebody in a different city, throw in a T-shirt or other swag while you're at it. I found that relatives and friends really dig stuff from the Bay Area. There are a variety of "at home barista"accoutrements available for sale to include the lovely Chemex glass coffee maker. Grinders, scales, etc. A coffee paraphernalia shop- "legal speed". I ordered an iced mocha with oat milk during a busy time and waited about 20-30 minutes. While I was waiting, I noticed several customers who ordered after me received their drinks. I went up to the counter to ask about my order, and the cashier seemed confused. The barista remembered making my drink and believed someone may have accidentally taken it since there had been a drink sitting on the pickup counter for a while. The barista told me he would remake my drink and even offered the drink to another customer instead of discarding it. However, he continued making other orders before remaking mine. Just as I was about to ask for a refund, I finally received my coffee. I understand that mistakes happen, especially during busy periods, but better communication and order tracking would have made a big difference. Unfortunately, my first experience left a bad impression. As much as I liked the atmosphere, I won't be returning, and I can't recommend this coffee shop based on the service I received.

We queued up before ordering two lattes, a bacon burrito and a mango protein smoothie. Grabbed a table in their back patio (yey for dog-friendly dining!) to enjoy our breakfast. The lattes were solid and the breakfast burrito was definitely repeatable. Basic patio space, but it does have trees and is semi-sheltered from street noise. They make good pastries here and they are very serious about making great coffee. The service is very good and it's a great place to sit and work on your laptop. On my most recent visit, I tried their specialty hot latte which was called the Worker Bee Latte. It had bee pollen and honey, of course, plus a touch of mint. I enjoyed it, although it tasted almost like a healthy drink because of the bee pollen! I typically enjoy their gluten free pumpkin muffin, which is delicious! This location of avid doesn't have as many food options as their Santa Rosa location, but it's all still very good. They have some fun merchandise here, and my wife bought one of their t-shirts the other day.

Strawberry maritozzi: Of all of the pastries this was actually my last favorite. I felt like the bread was a bit dry and flavorless. The cream was good however and not too sweet like your typical American dessert. I think if they could some how use a different type of bun that isn't as dry, this would be amazing. 2. Caprese Sandwich (wrap): This was incredible. I really liked this sandwich. It was so flavorful and the balance of the pesto and chicken was amazing. Highly recommend. Very large and filling too. 3. Mushroom focaccia: Loved this! Focaccia was fluffy and a very generous amount of mushrooms on top. 4. Passion Fruit pasty: I LOVED this! It reminds me of being in hawaii again and reminded me of the malasalas there however in a pastry dough form. 5. Chocolate pistachio croissant: High quality pasty very fluffy and light with huge amount of chocolate. Overall, I felt like the savory items were incredible and overshadowed the sweet items. The sweet were still good though. Everything was high quality and fairly priced. Only item that I wouldn't get again is the Maritozzi.
