My review is late but I got my nails done in April a week before I got married at the court. I forget the name if the women who did my nails but they were so sweet, gentle and kind! So welcoming as well. Support this small business! They did an amazing job and I want to go back the next I want to spoil myself to get my nails done. When my technician got started on my pedicure, I asked for rounded nails. She cut and filed them flat with sharp corners, so I pointed it out. She instantly got angry, said they were too short to round, then shoved the nail file at me and told me to do it. Wow, just wow. She continued to be rude throughout the rest of the pedicure after I shaped my own nails. Then she painted my toes with uneven layers, leaving streaks on every toe. Then she walked off and never came back to do my manicure that I had scheduled when I called for the appt. I will never come back. read more

Ive been going to Tina nails for a while now. I have loved all my sets so far. This time i went in for a full acrylic set with dip powder. After 2 days of having them, each has chipped, and 3 are completely gone. I work with my hands so i realize that i probably wore them off, but 2 days?? I paid $55 + $20 tip!! My friend and I visited this store early on a Saturday am- we were able to set up two appointments for 9am. The store itself is really bright and clean, and they tend to play some ambiance videos from YouTube. I requested the euro pedicure and a light pink polish. The euro pedi comes with callous removal but my nail tech didn't scrub my feet that much. Also, I didn't notice until after I left that there were parts of my nails that were not fully polished. read more

Needless to say, my 2nd visit was NOT great at all. I've been back to the shop 2 times to fix 2 different nails. The gel was lumpy, and my middle finger broke. My nails haven't been done for 1 week. The pedicure was horrible, and the heals of my feet are still rough. The french tip is not straight on my toes. An absolute waste of money. I regret coming here. I usually see Megan, who is awesome, but this time I went to Daisy since Megan was off. Daisy is so talented! She filled my acrylics, fixed a broken nail, and applied my desired design FAR better than I asked for! The attached photo does not do them justice (they're matte). PLUS, I was offered a mimosa, but took the yummy Vietnamese coffee instead. I appreciated the offer . We did karaoke too. It was wild lol. This place is quiet, relaxed, affordable, and clean. They leave the front door open to let in the breeze and refresh the air. I don't typically get my nails done but Nancy made them look so nice last month, I missed the way they looked and had to go back. She's meticulous with how they look as she's adding color, no paint on your skin. The ladies in the salon are all friendly and sweet, they even complement each other on their work. Many of the ladies had regular clients coming through the door on a first name basis, which was great to see. I highly recommend coming here if you need your nails done. I was excited that they were just around the corner. I would have rather drove. Just got my nails done here and aside from the horrible job they did the over charge is insane. I asked for acrylic full set and they wanted to stuff gel-x down my throat after saying no 4 times she went for the acrylic supply. I wanted a basic full set because I do my own art at home. Well she decided to take it upon herself to do a color acrylic to up charge what should've been a basic $35 set became $55 and I wouldn't have mind paying it but the job was horrible off shaped nails, left tons of material under the nail after asking to drill it off. I would have been off doing press-on. Just bad all around! So disappointing. read more

This is the 3rd visit I have had to Tina Nails.....best pedicures by Jenny! My nails have never looked so good! Normally my toe nails are yellow because I never go without polish but Jenny got them all clear again. Excellent massage too. She's very meticulous! Tina, the owner does my fills and I love the way she shapes my nails! I was very unhappy after 15 years with another gal. Tina uses product that lasts. Great service also.... Best nail salon! I came over here when Daisy moved to this salon about a year ago. I come for mani/pedi and I love how my feet look, and the attention to detail. Daisy is also very good with ingrown nails. She takes her time and takes pride in her work. She also speaks English. I think everyone at the salon speaks English, which to me is a bonus. The salon has a friendly vibe. A few times I came in, and the ladies were singing karaoke. They'll also serve us water, coffee, or wine. Clean, friendly. read more

Wow! This is how a business should be ran. I recently came and had an issue with my nails and the tech that did them. Well they were so quick to fix the problem got my nails done beyond what I asked for and come to find out the tech who originally did me had issues a few other time and the owner has fired her! Don't fall for reviews I did and never again. Woman who did mine was not personable. She scrubbed my feet so much they are raw and sore. Now that the owner moved to another location in San Marcos, the Vista location is awful. My service was very short, the person was rude and unfriendly and she cut my cuticle too short and it bled the entire time I had my pedicure. She literally had a scowl on her face the entire time. The job was rushed and the service was horrible. It will be the last time I visit this location. My co-worker came in today and told me they had the same experience but worse! She got a nail fungus. When she went back they were so rude that she left. She took her nails off on her own and is getting treatment for the fungus. Tina's nails is not a place I will return to! I would leave zero stars if I could. read more

I hit up Dafne on Ig, she is super fast at responding, sent her pictures of my eyebrows and we scheduled an appointment. She cleaned up and reshaped my brows and tinted them. We decided to go a little thicker than normal and I am so glad we did. She brought me back to life. She will be my new go to. Her prices are right, her space is clean and her tint and lift products are CF and Vegan friendly. Tina is so sweet and my nails always look great after going here! Prices are unbeatable. I recommend to be careful of false information on these reviews, I saw a review by Gloria saying going to Tina's Nails caused nail fungus, but it's unfair to blame something like that on an entire buisness when it is most likely due to an underlying condition. Best of luck to this business and it's people, I hope Gloria is okay, and I hope she can spread some positivity on Yelp instead of just complaints. If you see her account she has only posted one star reviews. Check the credibility before believing things like that, I've visited many nail salons before I found Tina Nails and this salon is the best I have been to and the only one I have stayed at. I ended up having to get them redone the same week by my usual nail tech anyway, so the trip to Red Apple was a total waste of money. Taking a closer look now at the pictures of others' nails that did give good reviews, I should have known-- what they considered "awesome" jobs were actually barely good, in my opinion. Lumpy, not filed correctly, acrylic and paint spillage that were obvious.. Admittedly a perfectionist when it comes to something I will wear every day, but these didnt even last a week. My usual nail lady was disappointed, said something about their product, filing and painting jobs (see pictures) and asked if their place/procedures seemed clean to me. It was weird that they didnt have me wash my hands at any point during the acrylics, and I didn't actually see where they pulled their sterilized(?) tools from either. In the end, she ended up taking off half of my nails that she didnt want me to keep on because of possible fungus from water damage, then refiled and repainted. Other than that, the place was clean, cute, the techs polite! An old regular came in and they all exchanged hugs and "imissedyou!"s. I thought that was sweet, so I'm not surprised they do have return customers. I'd make an appt before coming in bc theres a chance no one will be there since they are a mom/daughter shop and set their own hours. Overall, wouldn't recommend, but thanks to the atmosphere I may show up again and try a pedicure. Just NO more acrylics.
