They looked so horrible so now I have to take my time to find another salon that can just do the French tip paint because she couldn't! She could have told me she wasn't able to do French tip before I sat down and before she drilled all my nails down.. all she did was the fill and even then there was bubbles from the paint and that's usually from a mixture of nail polish remover being mixed in with the polish.. she had to drill mine off 3 times just so the bubbles would stop reappearing. You can tell by the energy in the air that many regulars come here and this is reinforced by the way employees engage with customers. I came in and received the Deluxe Pedicure. This included a nail trim, shaping, cuticle grooming, callus treatment, sugar scrub, marine mask, & regular nail polish (I opted not to receive the nail polish). The difference from the regular pedicure is that this includes the sugar scrub and marine mask. Let me tell you - this was worth it! Not only did my feet feel cleaned up and great from the trimming and callus treatment, but the sugar scrub added an extra layer of depth that made my feet and skin feel extra clean, smooth, and teated. I highly recommend coming to Tina's Nail Design. As mentioned, the entire team is excellent and my feet felt AWESOME! Next time I'll opt to get a manicure too! read more

May did my pedicure and I have ingrown nails, for those of you who have them, it's super painful if they don't know how to remove them. May was GREAT, it was painless!!! I went here to get a gel mani&pedi. Total was $50 for gel mani & gel pedi + $10 for deluxe pedi. So total was + $60. There was some miscommunication when I asked how much for both GEL MANI & PEDI + DELUXE. I thought they told me $60 total for both but in the end when it was time to pay.. I asked how much they didn't give me a deluxe manicure.. they told me that additional $10 is only for pedi.. they didn't know I wanted both.. so anyway.. The pedicure was 10 out of 10. I forgot her name. The manicure was 5 out of 10. I forgot her name but her daughter's name was Vivian too. She was too busy talking about her Vivian to pay attention to my nails. The gel on my nail bed wasn't perfect and some of the gel got onto my finger tips and was burning under the LED light. I kept telling her and trying to take my hands out and she would tell me to keep it in. And then she had to cut and scrape the hard gel off of my fingers when she realized that I wasn't just being dramatic about it BURNING. I'm picky when it comes to my nails because I can see all the flaws. I just don't like when I just came from the nail salon & my nails already look like it's been done a week ago. I like for my nails to be done from the top of the cuticles and not on top of my cuticles.. and no space left in between my cuticles and nails. If that makes sense. In the end, I still tipped each lady properly. I gave the pedicurist 10% & I still gave the manicurist 10% tip even tho she fucked my nails up. read more

So it was my very first time going to Tina's and I really hoped for the best. I went in for a full set and the person who did my nails was an older woman and she was doing fine until that machine came and it was just terrible. She started to use is to file my nails but then she began to just go to my cuticles. It hurt really bad the first time but I thought it was an accident but then she did it again and again. Service was nice and friendly. Tina, who has been there for 25 years,worked on my shellac manicure and spa pedicure. I called an hour ahead for an appointment and I didn't have to wait. There was a queue as I was leaving. The location is very simple and not your fancy spa-ish salon, no free coffee or water or nature music - just plain great getting your nails done and chatting with the person doing it. It was hot because it was 90 degrees in San Pablo which only happens 2 to 3 days a year - but that wouldn't keep me from going back. I think their mani-pedi is really reasonable! read more

I came in and asked clearly for white tip acrylic nails the manicurist failed to inform me that they didnt have the white tip nail set and began putting the clear ones instead, she also didnt remove the bright red nail polish that i still had on my nails from a previous manicure so upon completion my nails had red streaks all over them. What a pleasant surprise this shop was! It's not fancy or glamorous, but wow they do great nails! It was recommended by my neice and her friend and I'm so glad I took their advice! I've been seeing Judy since I started coming, and I've been very happy with my acrylic nails. FYI, she does a great pedi as well! And very reasonably priced! My only complaint is that they're very limited in the designs they can do, otherwise I would have given them 5 stars. Every time I have came, I was always helped fast the workers are very nice. Today I arrived at 10am which is the time they "open". By the time I got there, no one was there and they didn't open until 10:10am I believe. I was quickly put to a pedicure station and waited for someone to help me. Instead of helping me, they decided to help a lady who arrived about 15 minutes after I did.
