The first time, she was hit so hard she was bleeding from her head -- and now it has happened again. The fact that the gym has taken absolutely no real action to fix this or protect the children is outrageous. Parents deserve better, and this level of negligence is completely unacceptable.

One needs to be in tune with crowd patterns, otherwise you can kiss off getting your workout done in a timely, focused manner. I don't think there's a cap on number of memberships. Channel receptivity on the treadmills can be hit and miss. Frustrating! I consistently see certain machines (weight) used to simply "park it," get on one's cell...for sometimes extended periods of time. Aforementioned issues have been shared in person and via membership APP, but strategies to resolve/reduce are still not in place. Gym isn't my home; I have one. Given cost of living in Napa, including inflation, I find demographic make-up interesting including timing of their usage. Before you join, see if you can get some passes. Go during crowded times--that way you'll get the full picture. I can now see why there's a movement toward more personalized, specialized gyms--it's tempting. Parking is okay.

I was told not to worry & to return when I could. There is a difference between being technically right & doing what is right. I stand by my review. UPDATE & Response to Business Comment: I am genuinely sorry that my medical recovery seems to have been an inconvenience for this business. When someone is recovering from two major surgeries, it is entirely reasonable to rely on the reassurance given by staff. In my case, "don't worry, just come back when you can." Expecting a patient in that situation to independently review contract fine print, especially when no one ever requested documentation or explained the process, is unrealistic and shows a lack of compassion. Their response reinforces my concern that the priority here was not supporting a customer facing medical hardship, but rigidly defending a policy at the expense of basic human decency. Stretch Zone's response actually confirms the concerns I raised. At no point did anyone ever request medical documentation from me. Instead, I was explicitly told not to worry and to return when I was medically able. It is unreasonable to expect a patient recovering from two major surgeries to comb through contract fine print when the business itself assures them that the medical exception applies. Their statement that I "never submitted documentation" leaves out the fact that they never asked for any. A medical exception cannot be "formally requested" if the business fails to inform the customer of the process or the need for documentation. I communicated my medical situation in advance, attempted to stop by the studio multiple times during business hours (no one was there), and relied on the guidance I was given by their own staff. Their response also makes it clear that they are more committed to rigidly defending their position than to doing what is fair or compassionate. When a customer is dealing with significant medical circumstances, a business that truly values people would show flexibility, especially when the law requires it. Instead, Stretch Zone chose to focus on technicalities and timelines rather than acknowledging their own role in the breakdown of communication. In short, their reply proves my point: the priority here was not customer care, but protecting revenue. That is not the kind of business I can recommend. ORIGINAL REVIEW: ZERO stars. Avoid this business at all costs. Dallas was the only positive part of my experience. He was consistently kind and professional, and none of my criticism is directed at him. Unfortunately, the management and business practices behind StretchZone tell a very different story. I had two major surgeries and was physically unable to use my remaining sessions. I notified their staff in advance and was explicitly told not to worry and to return when I could. Their own contract clearly states that medical situations qualify for an exception to the 90 day expiration. Despite this, StretchZone refused to honor the medical exception written directly into their agreement. They never requested medical documentation at any point, yet later claimed it was required. Had they asked, I would have provided it immediately. Instead, they chose to interpret their policy in the most rigid and self serving way possible. What was most concerning was the tone of their final response, which ended with: "We consider this matter closed and will not be engaging in further correspondence regarding this request." For a customer in my situation, this abrupt dismissal was extremely unprofessional and showed a complete lack of basic customer service, empathy, or willingness to resolve a legitimate concern. California's Health Studio Services Contract Law exists specifically to protect consumers in situations like mine. Under Civil Code §§ 1812.80-1812.98, customers who become medically unable to use services are entitled to cancel and receive a refund for unused portions once a physician verifies the disability. I was temporarily disabled and unable to use the sessions through no fault of my own. StretchZone knew this and still refused to make any adjustment to my membership timeline or offer a refund. This experience made it clear that once they have your money, they enforce policies selectively, ignore the spirit of their own contract, disregard consumer protections, and shut down communication rather than working with customers in good faith. They chose to be "right" on paper instead of doing what was right in practice. I strongly warn anyone considering this business to think twice. What appears to be a friendly wellness service on the surface is, in my experience, backed by rigid, questionable, and unfair business practices. Bottom line: I gave them the opportunity to do the right thing, and they chose not to. StretchZone - do better.

I've put off writing this review for far too long. It feels like anything I write just wouldn't do…read morethis place justice, but let me give you my best shot. I started at Tenacious a little over a year ago, in the thick of the pandemic, when my mental and physical health were at an all-time low. Sean and his team welcomed me with open arms--no judgment, no wild expectations, just good ol' down and dirty resistance training. I went from someone who could barely do one proper push-up to someone who's doing multiple sets (sometimes with a weight plate on my back!) each week. Here's a quick bullet point list of things I love about Tenacious: -they teach me the proper form but also the "why" behind the movements -they're masters at intermixing mobility exercises with strength so I always have time to catch my breath -they're flexible with the schedule -they never make fun of me for wearing lifting gloves so I don't get gross callouses on my hands -they let me moan and whine and complain, and then make me do the exercises anyway -they encourage me to keep up my outside physical fitness hobbies (even if it might mean I take one fewer session per week with them) -they take the time to understand my life outside of the gym (e.g. I'm a trial lawyer) and structure my programming to meet my unique needs (e.g. we focus on increasing ankle stability so I can wear stupid heels in court all day) But most importantly, they genuinely care about making me a healthy human. In the 13-ish months that I've trained with Sean, Alec, Gianna, and team, I've lost over 40 pounds. I considered starting this review by saying that, but (and I know it sounds trite) that is really not my proudest achievement since I started at Tenacious. Believe me, if you had asked me a year ago about my goals...that would have been my topmost priority. But Sean and his team have taught me to measure my success differently. I find wins in places I never expected, like adding just a little more weight to the barbell or doing an extra set because we have time. I truly cannot recommend this place highly enough. If you're on the fence, jump right in. Stick to it for a few months and before you know it, you'll be hooked for life, like me.

Napa Tenacious Fitness has greatly improved my life for the better. I've been seeing coaches for…read morepersonal training three times a week here for just over a year, and have loved it. As someone who has never been sporty or fit, they made getting into shape accessible, fun, and now an important part of my routine. The coaches are all friendly and fun, and you can sense both the real care and technical expertise they put into the programming. It's welcoming and never intimidating. They take time to understand you, your goals, and starting point - every session is personalized to you, and they are constantly asking how your body is feeling and adapt to any injuries, aches and pains. Each session also focuses not just on resistance training, but on warm up, stretching, and all the accessory work to build a strong foundation. Exercises are explained in detail, including why they're in your program. You never move too fast for what your body is capable of, but over time see incredible progress. I've been amazed by how far I've come in just a year, and for the first time in my life have some visible muscle, some decent strength, and no longer struggle with lower back pain. More than that, it's made fitness a part of my identity and routines that will stay with me. I now have the confidence to do more training on my own and explore other activities. Through the year I've had multiple coaches - and depending on scheduling you might see different people across a week/month, usually with one main coach who you see the most. But because of the system and training at NTF, they can all pick right up where you left off with detailed notes and programming. I want to give a huge shoutout to the coaches I've trained with the most, including Sarah, Ryan, Alec, and Paul. It's certainly a premium offering and comes with the price tag to match, but I'm incredibly happy with the investment I've made in myself. A huge thanks to the whole team at NTF, and a congratulations to Sean for the culture and team he has built.
