Up to now, programs have been either too easy (trainers who think that because I'm overweight I shouldn't try too hard), too difficult (trainers or programs that start off way beyond what I can reasonably do) or just plain boring. Emily is smart and helpful and figured out *exactly* how hard to push me on day one. She keeps every workout interesting, and is a pleasure to work with *even when I'm at my limit* (No easy feat!) She's also very professional, responsive, and supportive even on days we're not meeting. Awesome. I've been seeing Emily for 6 weeks and am more motivated than ever to keep going. Every session was dynamic. In the past 5 months that we've trained together, we have never duplicated a single workout! She keeps it fun, interesting and motivating. I'm always excited (and nervous) to see what she has in store for me each session. Christina has impacted my life and for that I'm very appreciative. Having suffered sports related injuries in the past, as well as two C sections, there were times where I was uncomfortable with certain exercises. Her background in Corrective exercise and collaboration with physical therapists served well in adapting workouts so I could maximize movements in the safest possible way. But it doesn't stop there. I've worked with trainers in the past and although they gave me a good workout & some basic education, they never left me with the confidence that I could eventually do all those things on my own Christina not only encouraged me through frequent check ins and holding me accountable on our "off days" but also by being the example. She practices what she preaches including stretching, diet & self care (all things I struggle with). What has left the deepest impression is that she believed in me more than I did myself. When I came in for a workout not feeling like being there, she worked me extra hard. When she showed me an exercise and I said "There's no way I can do that!" She proved me wrong. Once I arrived after watching an episode of "Hard Knocks" and I was describing a crazy workout they did on a balance ball & she said You can do it!! (....be careful what you share! ) But you know what I DID DO IT....i would've never attempted if she didn't believe in me and give me that push. Her no nonsense approach pushes you past your limits and gets you the most out of your workouts but she balances it with deep desire to see you succeed, not only in her gym, but in life! The heated classes are the best--you leave drenched, feeling stronger, and somehow manage to have a blast while doing it. The energy is contagious, the music is on point, and the atmosphere is welcoming, supportive, and just plain FUN. M.E., the owner, has created something really special. And the instructors--Aja, Sydney, Paris, and Ashton--are all phenomenal. They each bring their own style, but every class leaves me feeling challenged, encouraged, and accomplished.
