Wow! What a surprise. We stopped on a drive through the area. It was Sunday brunch. We ordered: 1. Bloody Mary- perfect size and taste 2. Appetizers: pickled cucumbers and pear crostini, both fantastic, and gone in seconds. Hefty portion, could have easily shared the one 3. Entrees: wild mushroom hash, could have used a few more mushrooms and less peppers, but was still tasty. Flew into Milwaukee and rented a car to drive to Minocqua for the "No Frills Marathon" and stopped here in Weston for the first night. Hit town about dinner time, checked in to the hotel and searched Yelp! for dinner options. Almost picked another restaurant that had good reviews but passed this place on the way and saw it was busy so I turned around and came here. Really glad I did because it was outstanding. At first I sat outside but, realizing I brought my thin blood NC hot summer self too much cooler temperatures I quickly moved inside. Everything I ordered in both of my trips here (I drive out of the way on the return after the marathon to eat here again) was super good. The only thing that was just "good" was the French onion soup which is pretty boiler plate anyway. The Smoked Whitefish is insanely good. I ordered that on both visits and wish I had some more of it right now. The drinks were solid as well. Staff was really friendly and the facilities are clean and airy. I would have loved to have sat outside to enjoy it but maybe I'll bring a jacket if I do that. read more

Excellent beer selection and food. I got the seasonal pumpkin ale, it was wonderful. Great pop of pumpkin flavor - really got the fall feeling from this. Downside was it was $9 for a 12oz beer..... bit rich for my taste Mac and cheese was good, I wish it had a bit more zing to it but it was a solid choice. The bread on the side was homemade and was fresh. Bore sausage was good, but not great. I wish it was a bit more filling as it was only 2 sausage links and a ton of sauerkraut. Went to this place while visiting friends and was so pleased of our whole experience! The servers were quick and very attentive. We came for brunch and the menu had several things I was excited to try. It was a freezing day in February when I visited and we were seated by the windows which were a little chilly so I recommend sitting closer to the interior of the restaurant in the winter. The mushroom and Brie toast was phenomenal. I loved the spiked hot chocolate (I don't remember what exactly was in it but it was delicious). It was an early dinner. Maybe 1-2 tables with peeps sitting at them, so basically slow. Service was acceptable, nothing special. Food I thought was also acceptable but nothing noteworthy. As I write this, I can't even remember what I had. I do remember thinking that it was pretty bland and lacked a chefs care. They had great outdoor space but it was a cool day so we sat inside. We went here for our 5 year Anniversary! Kid free for a few hours . So when you walk in the atmosphere is very trendy and chic ! Very welcoming . The front desk gentlemen was kind and quick to get us seated . We ordered Salmon toast for our appetizer which absolutely flavorful and light ! For dinner I ordered the lamb shank and my goodness ! This was large ! The meat was succulent and falling off the bone . The Brussels were so yummy ! Presentation 10! My husband had the duck which was light not oily which was his concern when he was ordering . It came out perfect . Wonderful flavors , great portion size ! We are used to Seattle Sizes which are very very small . For my drink I had a Moscow mule but it was a specialty one which was very crisp and complimented the dinner well ! We definitely should of gotten dessert but we were going to catch a movie , my husband forgot to tell the waiter since he wanted to do something special for the dessert so we had to run ! My friend and I ordered the cheese curds. The breading was extremely oily. They were served with a lingonberry sauce that the sever said was tangy but it was super sweet. A friend told me later that when she ordered them, they were served on top of the sauce so I guess I got lucky as it was on the side. They were overcooked. I ordered the fish and chips, server wouldn't let me sub in asparagus for chips even with an extra charge. She said asparagus is only served with the steak. The fish was also greasy and quite bland. I picked most of it off. Didn't eat the fries because I don't like them in general. read more

This is my favorite restaurant in Wisconsin by a landslide. They have the best cheese curds ever. There is something different that gives them a better texture and flavor than other places and they're not as greasy. I love the ambiance and the customer service is always friendly and never disappoints! I recommend the jaegerschnitzel. It's absolutely delicious. They have a lavender crème brûlée that is a perfect way to finish off your meal. This restaurant should be world famous (and it probably will be one day). read more

We have gone to Tine & Cellar for brunch, lunch, and dinner and they excelled at each one. They have an incredible beer and wine list and their cocktail list is creative and very good. Standouts from their menu that we've enjoyed include: the mixed berry crepes (brunch), coconut mimosas (brunch), fall old fashioned, dressed cucumbers, boar sausage, smoked salmon belly mac & cheese, mushroom truffle flatbread, ahi tuna (my newly discovered favorite), and their upside down peach cake is beyond delicious!! Additionally, I'd like to give a shout out to Morgan S. during our most recent visit. She was awesome and incredibly helpful and attentive! The service was ok, but the food was quite unacceptable. Nothing tasted very outstanding, but all of the mussel dishes were horrible. There were many mussels that did not open up (we ordered the porter mussel and also the mussel linguine, had at least 4-5 mussels out of the not many mussels that did not open up at all, which most likely means they were not fresh). The worst part was that in the linguine, most of the shells were broken into small pieces, so it was not very edible, as we had to constantly spit out the broken pieces. After we made the comment to the waitress, she walked away without saying anything, and came back with a check that took off 9 dollars from the linguine, and still said nothing at all. Overall, not a very pleasant experience. And if you choose to come here, definitely avoid all the mussel dishes. read more

Went here on a Saturday afternoon, after trying to find a place for lunch in the area. I saw that it was by the same owner as Mikeys and a-soshel by Plover, so I thought it would be a good place to try. The place was pretty empty as it was around 3 in the afternoon, so we got to pick wherever we wanted to sit. Our waiter was super friendly and explained to us about an Oktoberfest special they're having right now where you get a punch card and if you get 6 Oktoberfest beers you get a pint glass free. He gave us some time to look at the menu and we ended up getting the mushroom flatbread and the boar sausage. The sausage had great flavor and was pretty lean. The sauerkraut and pickle relish were just the right compliments for it. I would say I could have done with a little more seedy stone ground mustard than what was on the sausage, but that's just my preference. The mushroom flatbread was also quite good. There was a variety of mushrooms and the sauce was in no way overpowering them. The fennel greens also gave a nice contrasting flavor to the flatbread. We shared the lamb and pork belly appetizer. The pork wasn't rendered at all so the meat part was tough and the fat was gross and slimy and skin inedible :( the lamb was dry and didn't have much flavor.
