Tornado Chaser vehicle to promote Twisters
    Lorri C.

We saw Twister tonight at 7:00 on a Friday night. We bought our tickets online to avoid the crowds. We arrived right at 7 and there was quite a crowd outside looking at a Tornado Chaser vehicle. Inside it was packed. The line for popcorn and drinks was about 30 people deep. The other concession stands were closed. I really feel that on a Friday night with props on display-they knew to expect a crowd and the other concession stand should have been open. We were in theater 5. The seats are great and heated. They recline perfect. The sound and visual quality was fantastic. However where we were sitting smelled awful! I thought it smelled of BO and my husband thought feces. It was bad and definitely affected our enjoyment.

Theater has easy access to and from the main road. There is plenty of parking and ample lighting in the lot. Theater was also very clean. The heated seat option was a nice surprise. I usually get cold in the theaters and have to bring an extra jacket to cover my legs. The heated seats kept me nice and warm throughout the whole movie. (The seat wasn't getting warm in my seat. But I was able to live over 1 seat and that 1 worked just fine. Luckily there was open seats as I went on a weekday during the day) I have the cinemark monthly club and new to the area. I'll probably be visiting this location frequently

Overall, this is a nice theater. Clean. All the snacks you could want at the concessions stand. Friendly staff. And the giant lounge seats are great. They're even heated! The only thing I wasn't keen on is the faux leather on each of the seats is really worn out, especially on the headrest. That makes them look dingy and kind of gross, honestly. I realize that they get a lot of wear and tear, but for that reason, it might be better to go with real leather, which will last for a couple decades without needing to be replaced.

It's a nice clean theater. It's well run and has a solid arcade. You really can't ask for much more.

What I don't like is that they no longer give free refills of the large popcorn, if you want to have free refills you have to purchase the X-tra large popcorn with is totally bogus, but I digress.

Some things in life really don't age well and this theater is a prime example. There's a ghost town…read morefeel all around from defunct ticket booths out front to large empty spaces inside, including abandoned food prep stations from their former dine in service. Even though this place was in much better health years ago, I was dissatisfied enough back then to swear I'd never return. Then Yelp hosted a fun event here recently that made me reconsider my decision. Unfortunately, that redemption would be short lived. I returned with my family on Easter Sunday and the first order of business was getting popcorn and drinks. After finding our seats we immediately dug in. I had only taken a couple bites when I found hair in my popcorn. And it definitely wasn't mine! The way it was wrapped around the piece told me that it was there when the kernel was popped. I was totally grossed out! Not only did I refuse to eat any more during the movie (even from a fresh batch), I'm not sure I will ever feel comfortable eating popcorn in a dark theater again. It's obvious that higher prices don't equal better hygiene practices here because the popcorn (along with everything else) is outrageously expensive. The fact that the condiment stations were dirty and the floors were sticky, before the first showing of the day, was a big clue that I mistakenly overlooked. Not surprisingly, I'm finally done with this theater and probably all AMCs for that matter.

This is one of those places that makes you think, "Why didn't we have something like this when I…read morewas growing up?" We came for an Advanced Screening of a movie, but quickly realized this is so much more than just a movie theater. Between the bowling lanes, arcade, restaurant, bar, and theaters, it's the kind of place where you can easily spend an entire afternoon or evening without ever wondering what to do next. Date night? Family outing? Birthday? It checks all the boxes. The facility itself was spotless. Everything felt new, well maintained, and thoughtfully designed. It has a fun energy without feeling chaotic, and there was plenty of room to spread out instead of feeling packed in like some entertainment centers. The food was a bit of a roller coaster. We ordered the pretzel sticks with beer cheese (YUM), and unfortunately it just missed the mark for us. The good news? Our server didn't hesitate for a second--he apologized, took it off the bill, and made everything right. That's customer service done correctly. Thankfully, the wings absolutely saved the day. Crispy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The garlic parmesan came as the sauce for dipping, and it was fantastic!! If you're wondering what to order, start there. I love that Hooky isn't trying to be just a theater or just a bowling alley. It's a place where your plans can evolve naturally. Bowl a game. Grab dinner. Play a few arcade games. Catch a movie. Finish with dessert. Before you know it, three or four hours have disappeared. The only reason this isn't five stars is because the food wasn't completely consistent. But honestly, that's an easy fix compared to everything they already have going for them. Hooky is exactly the kind of business that gives families and friends another reason to get out of the house and spend time together. We'll definitely be back--and next time, we'll skip the pretzel and order extra wings. 4 stars easy, almost 5!!

The popcorn was good, but they forgot to bring napkins and a paper plate/bowl for sharing. Also, you have to get up for refills. At Moviehouse & Eatery by Cinepolis, they bring your refills directly to your seat. I also asked for a glass of water, but instead, I was brought a bottle of water, which was overpriced.
