It's a nice clean theater. It's well run and has a solid arcade. You really can't ask for much more.

I love seeing movie here. The popcorn is fresh. The seats are usually very clean and so are the restrooms. There's something about enjoying a good movie in the comforts of a cinema that isn't the same at home. read more

We saw Twister tonight at 7:00 on a Friday night. We bought our tickets online to avoid the crowds. We arrived right at 7 and there was quite a crowd outside looking at a Tornado Chaser vehicle. Inside it was packed. The line for popcorn and drinks was about 30 people deep. The other concession stands were closed. I really feel that on a Friday night with props on display-they knew to expect a crowd and the other concession stand should have been open. We were in theater 5. The seats are great and heated. They recline perfect. The sound and visual quality was fantastic. However where we were sitting smelled awful! I thought it smelled of BO and my husband thought feces. It was bad and definitely affected our enjoyment. read more

I've always liked this movie theater. Hasn't changed a lot since I was in highschool. However, they have totally stepped up the seats, love the seat warmers, and they serve alcohol! I LIKE that they still have the snack counter and not annoying servers walking in front of you serving mediocre food. Give me some popcorn and if I am really fancy, a slurpee. A blue one. My only gripe, and I have thought this since the 90s, they need more salt on their popcorn. read more

I've been coming to Tinsletown, Grapevine, TX - Cinemark ever since I moved into the area. I love the seats as the have heating buttons that warm up the seats. What I don't like is that they no longer give free refills of the large popcorn, if you want to have free refills you have to purchase the X-tra large popcorn with is totally bogus, but I digress. I am writing to recognize one team member by the name of Jacob. He appears to be aloof, but that is further from the truth. He is very helpful and truly kind person and it appears that every time I go there he's the one who usually servers me at the concession stand. I truly appreciate his hard work I just hope that his supervisors read this post and know what an awesome employee they have. He really compliments this movie house. read more

The people who man the box office have on several occasions set the volume very high on the voice amplifier they use to talk to customers, causing my ears to ring. The last time this happened was a week ago when the woman caused a feedback loop and resulting high pitched screech and my ears are still ringing! Theater has easy access to and from the main road. There is plenty of parking and ample lighting in the lot. Theater was also very clean. The heated seat option was a nice surprise. I usually get cold in the theaters and have to bring an extra jacket to cover my legs. The heated seats kept me nice and warm throughout the whole movie. (The seat wasn't getting warm in my seat. But I was able to live over 1 seat and that 1 worked just fine. Luckily there was open seats as I went on a weekday during the day) I have the cinemark monthly club and new to the area. I was there for a show on Thursday 6/26. The young girl with the ponytails who scanned my ticket was extremely nice. Found my seat, then went to get refreshment. When I went by the young girl again you could tell she was upset. I heard what the young manager was saying about her, and she must have too. That manager was petty, and unprofessional. read more

Watched 'It Ends With Us' this evening. Overall clean movie theatre. Customer service was okay. There are two lines you can order food and drinks from. Clean bathrooms. Plenty of parking. They have automatic reclining leather seats, which allows you to fully lay down. You also have the option to heat the seats, if you love that warm feeling. read more

Overall, this is a nice theater. Clean. All the snacks you could want at the concessions stand. Friendly staff. And the giant lounge seats are great. They're even heated! The only thing I wasn't keen on is the faux leather on each of the seats is really worn out, especially on the headrest. That makes them look dingy and kind of gross, honestly. I realize that they get a lot of wear and tear, but for that reason, it might be better to go with real leather, which will last for a couple decades without needing to be replaced. read more

We've been here twice, both times the preorder was delivered to our seats without issues. I would really like the option to get the large popcorn in the tub and the refill in a bag at the same time. The bag doesn't hold as much as the tub but small price to pay to not miss the movie midway through. The concession lines are super slow, and the whole place is run by young adults. That's pretty standard for movie theaters these days though. We will continue to come here when we want to watch a move in DBox seats. read more

I used to come here before the pandemic but even I visited yesterday I was a bit disappointed in my experience. First, as COVID continues to run through the community, it was a bit jarring that I could only see 3 employees wearing masks and virtually no one in the theater wearing them. Secondly, there were ants in my seat. To be specific, I went to the 5:30 showing of the escape room on July 30 and I sat in seat C5, theater 16. I couldn't help but to feel something itching on my arm and when I put my flashlight on my arm, I saw ants moving. I got up and flashed my light in the seats and saw them coming up from the cup holder and the bottom of the seat. I could not focus on the movie much after or have the appetite to finish my popcorn. If there were ants in my seat, I'm not too sure how much they're actually keeping up with COVID cleaning protocols if they've neglected regular cleaning protocols. I will not be returning. We were very happy to return to seeing movies live and in person... on a big screen! We saw "No time to die", everything was excellent! Not only are the loungers comfortable, and recline, they also are heated... which was wonderful for me, as it felt rather cool/cold in the theater... some thing I know others really enjoy ( but not me)! One large drink and one large popcorn were nearly $14, with no free refills... blaming that on Covid. However, the drinks were self-serve, and it was quite simple to refill the drink, later. I'm guessing the theater would've seated nearly 300 people, however there were less than 20 of us there. We had assigned seating, which we chose, but it would've been very easy to move around and be away from other people, had we wanted to. Everything seem clean and well-maintained, almost a new feeling! If you haven't been back to seeing movies in person, now may be a good time and this certainly may be the place! This was my first time at this movie theater, but it was a spectacular experience. As soon as you walk into the doors you are greeted with a line of snacks and even a freezer of ice cream while you are waiting to see a cashier. The cashier was efficient in getting the items that we requested and got us on our way to our movie. We showed the hostess our tickets and she directed us to our theater. Once we made it into the theater we saw reclining seats that also had tables attached as well as seat warmers. Overall I was very satisfied with the experience and if I am in the area again I will definitely indulge in the experience again. read more

Probably 4 times now I've had to move myself to a different seat because of obnoxious people who talk during the movie, and I only go to the weekend matinees which at other theaters are peaceful. Somehow this Cinemark pulls in the riff-raff, not because of the ticket prices mind you, which are the same everywhere, it's the neighborhood. read more

Wouldn't allow me 19 and my minor brother see John Wick 4 because you both had to be 17, but allowed us to see scream 6. I remind you that these are both rated R. I was just wondering what makes these movies so different? Both of them have killing in them and gore. While scream is worse than John Wick in many ways. Reminder this was after we bought all of our snacks. Then we exchanged our tickets for a movie with seats we didn't want. We were offered a refund but in that case we wouldn't have bought snacks. Nothing really wrong with the theater. The only issue I had was somehow I kept activating the seat heat. Once you realize it's on and switch it off, it take a while for the seat to cool down. When I was leaving, I noticed about 15 seats with the red heat button illuminated. And I could only see about a quarter of the seats. Next time the do a seat upgrade, I'd have the heat button higher up so no hot seats when it's 100° outside. They do need more QR scanning kiosks. Oh, and put up a sign on the D Box simulator so people don't think it's a place to rest. read more

I don't think any of these reviews are relevant anymore because they have completely remodeled! All of the theaters have updated seats and they are currently re-working the concessions area (but the ones near the theaters are still open). I love coming here because the tickets are the cheapest in the area and the staff is so much more friendly! They can be slow at times, so factor that into your pre-movie time. Overall, it's hard to beat cheap tickets and nice, heated seats. read more

This theater is my favorite place to watch movies. The only two complaints I have that the past two weeks I have gone it's been hot in the theater. The ladies restrooms have been dirty. On a positive note I was at the theater on Oct. 2nd. and I went to the snack bar. Blake was my cashier. It was his first day and Theodore was his trainer. Blake was very nice and knew what he was doing. I had several questions and he answered a couple than asked for help on one. At one point Theodore was try to do his job. I laughed and said let that young man do his job. He knows what he's doing. They laughed. For someone being new he did a phenomenal job and you guys are lucky to have him and Theodore. I will be looking for them to help me next time I'm at the movies. It's hard to find young adults have fun at their job and give outstanding customer service. Keep up the good work. read more

Derek at the snack counter was extremely slow and inattentive. Only when my wife started to express her displeasure did he even act moderately interested. Look, I get it. Service industry jobs suck. But if you're going to take the job then give it 100%! The D-Box seats are a real problem. We reserved those seats and paid extra for them. When we got to the theater though there were other people in the seats! There is no one to enforce reserved seating. So people who didn't pay extra paid the same as we did. The family in our seats seemed really put out when we asked them to move. Made for an unnecessary and awkward interaction. read more

The remodel was helpful, but there is no incentive to arrive early for the movie. If you get there even 5 minutes before the start time, you have to sit in the theater with no AC! In the summer, Tinseltown should really keep the AC running in the theaters. I must admit, I've heard some good things and some bad things about this place but I kinda shrugged it off. I went to go see a movie recently and the employees were all over the place with their customer service. They were slow, rude and non attentive for the portion that I had to interact with them which for me it kinda ruins the experience. I usually never pay attention to the customer service aspect of a movie theater but I had to point it out. The place smelled moldy and the decor was out of date. Popcorn was cold and tasted that it was made a couple of hours prior of me of showing up. For the amount of foot traffic it gets, it should not be the case. I got stranded in Dallas for 24 hours with no hotel and got the bright idea to go see a movie. Do not go to this theater. They do not all backpacks in the movie theater. I think that the XD room is awesome, the screen is huge and very good definition, the seats are so comfortable. Their prices are kinda high and it is very dirty in the other rooms, the xd seemed clean but the other rooms are pretty filthy. We spend around 70$ for 2 kids and 2 adults (tickets and snacks). They have like 3 snack stands so waiting in line is not an issue, they have a restaurant in the building but you can't take the food into the auditorium, they also have an arcade that my boys seem to enjoy alot. read more

We drove thirty minutes to this theater to see Black Christmas because we have always loved this theater. We bought our tickets several days in advance. When we arrived and printed them, they showed the correct showing. When we arrived at the podium, the employee told us we were in theater one. Imagine our surprise when we arrived to find Frozen 2 coming on and our seats taken. The employee at the podium was flustered and told us we would have to find a manager. I had to request that he actually call one for us. When the manager arrived, he told us we were the only three who purchased tickets so they cancelled it. What?? Who does that?! I asked why we weren't notified before we drove thirty minutes, and he stated they had no way to do that. So they can email me my confirmation but not email that they cancelled the same movie and refund my money?? Speaking of refunds, I had to actually ask for one! He offered for us to choose another movie to see but considering they were only showing Star Wars in 90% of the theaters, that held no value. The manager was super young and honestly couldn't have cared less. Very disappointed as this used to be my favorite theater. The timing also meant we missed the showing at all alternative theaters. They clearly don't value their customers if they will just cancel a movie that's been pre-purchased for. Very poor business practice. read more

Got here 10 minutes early to play games in their arcade area to find out they swapped out tokens for gamecards, made everything 1 $ (most games were 50 ¢) and they also swapped out he only games that I bothered to play. Went to go buy food and got medium popcorn that was slightly cold and burnt. Went to movie theater and found both cup holders on the seat full of wet paper towels and popcorn. We have been a huge fan of Tinseltown for 10 years. We shy away from AMC at GV Mills because of the crowds, traffic and questionable behavior at night. We avoid Harkins whenever possible. Its nice, but a monetary beating. Tinseltown is consistent, cheap and friendly. What else do you need? read more

you just can't beat the prices of Cinemark theaters. I just went and saw Despicable Me 3D for $7 a ticket, of course it was matinee, but that is still $3.50 cheaper than a 3D matinee movie at the Rave. Considering how much cheaper it is than most movie theaters, Tinseltown seems to always maintain the condition of their theaters very well. read more

Problem with this theatre is, there isn't any management that runs this place. I have had issues with people and cell phones, chatty people. When I brought to the managers attention the answer is free tickets. No I want someone to come and observe, and if need be escort the noisy or rude people out. I came to enjoy the movie, not hear someone blab through the whole thing. I agree with others about the cleanliness, sub par. I try waiting and go to other Cinemark in Lewisville (dollar movie). Clean facility, friendly staff and always good time. I have complimented the staff many times, letting them know they are way better than the Cinemark in Grapevine. read more
