We loved the window seat, the great fridge to put our fruit in and the fun little library to select books and movies from. We went on a wonderful tour of some of Spring City's old homes. Such a treat! We relaxed in their hot tub in the back yard and even enjoyed the cows, house cat, chickens, horses, and dogs on the farm. :) The breakfast was fabulous with Sally making just what we liked (fruit, steel cut oats with all the trimmings, eggs and bacon). It's just a couple blocks from a nice paved walk & bike path that connects Heber City to Midway. The one minor issue is we called a few days ahead for allergies as suggested (gluten), but it had no impact - the chef said they ran out of GF bread the day before our stay. The Hansen House exceeded our expectations on every metric. The location is in the old downtown area of Sandy, east of State Street. It is situated on a large, mature property with lots of huge trees, and a nice yard. When one enters the house itself, one is immediately made to feel at home. The house is filled with gorgeous antiques, lots of small artifacts. In other words there is detail. We stayed in the Victorian room, since we enjoy the feeling of being in a previous era. The bed was very, very comfortable, the hot tub amazing. We cannot praise Fran's establishment enough. It is our favorite B&B in Utah. We look forward to our next visit.

The rooms are beautifully decorated, but children must be supervised more than 100% of the time. This venue is better suited for business conferences or adult retreat activities. Many of the beautiful features are off-limits to children and there is no equipment to help entertain children in a constructive way. Game room is not child friendly. The house itself or Hus as they call it from the original Scandinavian design of it, was super warm and inviting. It was incredibly clean throughout and our room was great sized and very comfortable. The bathroom was big and it had a great shower as well. I was curious about how they could possibly supply hot water to everyone as I think they have 4 or 5 guest suites and Doug showed me how they have two hot water tanks for the just the three rooms upstairs and more for the rooms downstairs. They really seemed to think everything through here. Lots of open space in the house and at no time did we feel like guests, we felt like we were staying with friends and that was very unique to me having never done this before. Let's see, they had snacks and beverages out at some points during the day or evening and I apologize, I cannot remember which. Breakfast was OUTSTANDING! We had everything, all of the foods were there. Eggs, sausage and apple rings, pastries, fruits, juices. Everything was fantastic! I do wish we had taken more time there as it was so nice. The rooms are decorated for different locations, we stayed in Catherine, which has it's own private balcony. The rooms are all beautifully decorated, with the bathrooms even coordinating with the theme. Many of the rooms have quilts made by Karen and Doug's oldest daughter. The beds and pillows were comfy and we felt right at home during our stay. Engen Hus is immaculate. I enjoyed all the natural light and attention to detail. The owner's, Karen and Doug, are kind and helpful. Breakfast was a wonderful meal, with so much food. We especially liked the fresh fruit and homemade coffee cake. We will definitely return for another stay!

There was an attached outside patio with a hammock, the jetted tub was giant for me and my boyfriend to fit in with room to spare (it could fit three people really) and the changing lights and jets just really made it amazing. Seriously the best tub I've ever taken a bath in it was so romantic. They have a huge selection of dvds for the TV in the room as well (I'd say maybe bring a couple of your own, the two we grabbed were empty unfortunately due to past guests having sticky fingers) but Wi-Fi available as well if you wanted to stream anything. We had the entire inn to ourselves on a Saturday night and it was very lovely and quiet. The included breakfast the next day by the owner/hostess Katelon was very nice and she is so knowledgeable about the town and had fun facts/spots to check out when we come back! There is a feeling of serenity to this place, from the calming music they play throughout the inn to the beautiful artwork and plants in every room. I'd definitely recommend anyone passing through or looking in the area to stay, to check it out.
