Came across this place by accident while cruising in the 83' Olds Hurst with my husband. Our plan was to just stop by for one drink before heading back home. The weather was nice and cool so we decided to have a seat outside in the patio. I liked that they had a variety of music playing in the background. One minute we were listening to hip-hop the next country. I appreciated that they didn't have it too loud either. We were able to have a nice conversation without having to raise our voices. Once seated, we were greeted by our waiter, Zachary, who was an absolute delight. I am a bit picky with drinks so I requested his recommendations and he most definitely did not disappoint. He recommended The Elderflower, which was not too strong not too sweet. The food looked tempting so we gave in and ordered the Mojorones Tacos with grilled shrimp. These tacos were bomb! I decided I wanted to try something else so ordered the beef and Brussels sliders. Whoooaah, these hit the spot. We enjoyed this lounge, hidden away in a quiet suburban neighborhood. Let's tackle the great things first, as there are several! The drinks were amazing. Thanks for some variety as well as traditional staples. We also enjoyed the food options. My guy and I ordered the crab cakes to share - very tasty. Others in our party also spoke highly of their orders as well. Our waiter was amazing, funny and very interactive. He made us feel right at home and checked on us often. Lastly, the interior of the main room, with the bar attached was gorgeous. This leads to my not so great items - things that can be improved. We had a party of 8 and apparently there weren't seating options in the main room, so we were lead through the main room and into another room, off to the right to be seated. This room has ZERO decor - not a stitch of anything on the walls and was quite bland. I felt like we were sat at the kids table on thanksgiving day, away from all the action and all the others. No bueno. I'm curious if decor is coming? Or maybe if larger table options can be incorporated into the main room? Can the side room be opened up? The music that was apparent in the main room wasn't something we were able to enjoy. So many opportunities to improve your experience. We will def be back, when we're in the area and are hopeful to see some improvements - this is an easy 5 start place, waiting to happen. read more

I recently hosted a party at this place and we reserved a room. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the venue itself. However, the only issue I encountered was that there was a two-person band positioned in the doorway of our room, making it a bit awkward to take photos and stand next to the band members. The waitstaff were great and very patient with our group. We ordered appetizers, which were quickly devoured. I personally liked their signature drinks, but I heard from others that they found them a bit too sweet. I have a sweet tooth and enjoyed the drinks. read more

Met our daughter and her family there for a 1 pm Sunday birthday brunch. Wasn't busy at all so the slow, spotty service was puzzling. The adult drinks and appetizers of biscuits and brunch bruschetta came out quickly. The disconnect came with the entrees. We ordered chicken and waffles, eggs Benedict, salad, waffles, more biscuits and a scrambled egg plate. Half of the food came out and so being polite we figured the balance would come out right behind and didn't start eating. We waited and waited. And the server kept saying it was on the way. When it finally came out the original food brought out was pretty much cold. Had to ask for water refills, salt and pepper, butter, ketchup, all the condiments you'd think they would automatically put out . . Maybe the server was new and hadn't been properly trained yet. Went one evening with friends for drinks. There were people at the bar stools but the restaurant was empty. The hostess tried to seat us at the table with metal chairs instead of cushions. I was wearing a cast and needed a little more comfort. When I asked to move to a table with comfy chairs the hostess got irritated. We ordered our drinks and could barely hear each other, asked if the music could be turned down and the dark headed hostess actually turned the music up. She was later seen cussing and appeared mad. We had our first round of drinks and then because the music was so loud just told the waitress we would not order another round because the music was too loud. It was after 11 pm and only two other patrons were there. Our waitress turned the music down and we ordered the additional round. The drinks were great and our waitress great, but didn't seem to have any authority dealing with the hostess or manager . I've been there multiple times and this was the first bad experience. What I noted is the place seemed to be less busy than other visits and the staff was lack luster and came off rude. It's almost like the vibe had changed and the staff was miserable. This place could be amazing but I'm concerned other patrons may have also felt the hostility and have stopped going. When you have a new concept restaurant and a rude staff, people will stop going. It would be a shame to let something so nice go out of business because the staff is off putting. Not sure if I will go back. It would be a shame to lose this concept but in the service business, great customer service is what keeps the doors open or closed. Going out and ordering food and drinks is expensive and the service experience matters. read more

Went to celebrate my girlfriends birthday and they told us a few weeks before that we didn't need to make a reservation for saturday because "it's not a problem", just walk in, they are very quick so no need for a reservation. We'll, we walked in and had to wait 45 minutes due to reservations.. Front of house was terrible. Confused. And lost. The receptionist looked young, had no idea what was going on, and she was not very nice. The wait staff was dashing around looking like pure chaos while the young receptionist was arguing with them off and on where everyone could see. At one point their was arm flailing during the argument which was a little awkward. I ordered a non alcoholic mocktail while we waited and it took over 10 minutes to make. The mocktail was the exact same drink but with the alcohol gone instead of replaced with something else, so it was literally just lemon and chili powder. Gross. But hey, it's a cocktail bar not a mocktail bar, whatever. We ordered everything at once and asked the waitress if we could get appetizers first and entrees later, she said that was how they always do it, it won't all come out at once. I made a point to make sure because a lot of places will bring everything out at the same time and its chaos, so I asked again and she said that's how they do it, cool.... Well it all came out at once. The Food Spinach dip was not great. It was bland and had no salt. You can get better at cheddars. Craft96 has better spinach/artichoke dip but in fried stick form and both of those are cheaper. The truffle fries were really good! I think hopdoddy might have better but they really do compete! All of us really enjoyed them! Prosciutto greenbeans are AMAZING! I don't know what else to say about them? I'd love to get 10lbs every week and just eat that for lunch every day! The garlic mashed potatoes were amazing! If you get those with the greenbeans make sure to dip the potatoes into the greenbean sauce! It's super good! The $45 NY strip steak was grey, had almost no sear on it, overcooked, looked boiled, and was really tough! For the price I was expecting something on par to Perrys but what I got was a worse steak than i-hop circa 2006! The steak tacos were cold. Tortillas were cold, the steak was cold, it was all cold. I think the tacos were the first thing made and it juat sat there. The flavor was really good though! Everything together was awesome! We should've asked them to microwave it though. Manhattan pizza is SOOOO good! The steak, the cheese, the sauce! We loved the pizza! I would get a to-go order of this again it's that good! And ordering out will allow you to skip the terrible front of house! Annnnnnnd halfway through the pizza she found a hair in it! I cannot make this up... bruh... I thought my goat meatballs were really good! I ate three of them and the third one I cut into was raw! How did this happen? I feel like I'm some kind of critic from another restaurant trying to bad mouth the place... I've never been somewhere where so much has gone wrong! My mind is blown! The good things about this place was our server Hannah. She was super awesome and very kind! The pizza until we found the hair, the meatballs until I saw two were raw, and the truffle fries! I would try this place again in a month or two when they figure everything out because right now it's embarrassing. This place is absolute perfection! From the drinks to the food to the customer service, it was amazing! The owners are the sweetest and super attentive! Highly recommend this place for a cute date night as it has a very romantic feel or even a girls night so much fun! There was a live music which was very enjoyable! All of the drinks were so good! Lastly, compliments to the Chef! Anything with steak, get it! His food was not only top notch, but his customer service was above and beyond! My friend and I came here for the first time last night and sat at the bar. The place is beautiful and the drinks were fantastic. I highly recommend the Empressive Paloma. I wanted something light so I ordered the Parmesan Truffle Fries and the tomato aoli was amazing! I also had the Poached Pear dessert and it was perfect thanks to chef Kody Mourer. Not too sweet and not too fruity. I'll definitely be coming here again to try the Flatbreads as I heard they are really good. read more

After a long day at work, my friend and I decided we needed a cocktail and met up here. We split the Manhattan flatbread and it was absolutely delicious. The steak was perfectly medium rare, almost rare. The cream sauce and arugula completely set it off. Neither of us really eats much in one sitting and we devoured this entire thing! I ordered the Pink 75 and was not impressed. I assumed the Rose hadn't chilled and mix warm wine with warm vodka, and it's a nasty and bitter flavor. I sent that back and ordered a Paloma instead. That was much better, although not the best drink I've ever had. Service was a bit lack luster. Our waitress may have been having a bad day, but she didn't smile one time or act like she really wanted to be there. It makes it uncomfortable as a diner when your waitress is in a bad mood. I had to actually ask someone to find our her twice after she disappeared for at least twenty minutes. One time we wanted a drink refill and the second was to pay our bill. The place was packed so maybe try to ensure there are enough staff to accommodate a packed house, especially if you're going to allow people to host a large party in the extra space. Also, one last note on the waitressing experience. Please teach your wait staff to not ask diners if they would like change when it's obvious they should bring back change. My bill was $75 and I handed her a $100 bill. 20% of $75 is $15. I feel it puts people on the spot (especially when they're with friends or colleagues) and out of fear of not wanting to look cheap, they just say no when asked if they would like change. So she got a 33% tip that she definitely didn't earn. This is also a big reason people don't pay cash as well. The 3 stars is for the service. If it was based strictly on the food, it would be 5 stars. I'll come back mainly to try the food, but I'm hoping to see some improvement in the service and drinks. read more

I've gone a few times to try to form an honest opinion, so here's my story for those who want more than a one-time experience review. The first time my wife and I went, we had the crab cakes and the spinach dip with a couple of drinks. We went in on recommendations from friends about how good things were and were not disappointed by any means about our service or quality of food. My wife and I had agreed beforehand that we were just going in for a taste the first time, and both left in agreeance we'd be back very soon. The second time we visited, we ordered the shrimp pasta and steak dishes (I DO NOT order steak anywhere because it's always always underseasoned) and were completely floored with how awesome the food was. Our service was great this time around as well. The third time we went in was for dinner service, and man, was it busy! Service was just as good as the previous times before, even with a packed house. I really wanted to try to be thrown for a loop, so I told the waiter to bring me whatever the chef wanted to serve me. My wife ordered the chicken Alfredo flat bread, and I was surprised with the Manhattan flat bread. This was hands down the most well-balanced plate of food I've ever had. Everything was seasoned perfectly. The steak was cooked beyond better than anything I could have asked for. I sat through the entire meal in awe of how awesome the food is. I have had the pleasure to speak with Kody (executive chef) for a few minutes to thank him for serving such awesome food. He's really personable and talking to him briefly it's very apparent he values the quality of what his diners receive rather than the quantity. It's a breath of fresh air ESPECIALLY for this area where so much mediocre junk is served daily. The same tired food has been served in this area for so long that it's extremely refreshing to see new ideas being brought forth in such delicious and creative manner. Each time I've visited, I've been greeted and sat promptly. Food has been amazing as well as served in a timely manner. The decor inside and out definitely gives the lounge feel, as the name suggests. The only thing I've come up with as far as a dislike goes would be the volume of the music at non peak hours. When it was packed, music seemed great, but when there's not as many people, my wife and I both agreed it could be turned down a few notches. But I'll take some tunes, an awesome chef, and good service over just about any restaurant in this area. read more

We decided to try Cóctel Lounge and it did not disappoint There were 6 of us ranging in age from 15 to 80 and there was something for everyone on the menu! Me and my daughter ordered a few things to share- The Cheese Garden Charcuterie, The Fire Goat Flat bread (OMG! So good!!) and The Manhattan Flat Bread. I also tried the Chocolate Mousse which was fantastic! We all tried each other's food and agreed everything was absolutely delicious! Even though they were busy our service was great, we never felt rushed or hurried and the owner, Taylor, came by our table to ask about our experience! The food and drinks did not disappoint! This was our first visit, so we tried a little bit of everything: both charcuterie boards, the Fire Goat Flatbread, and the Manhattan Bruschetta. Every bit of it was delicious! The chef also spoke with us and let us know that they will be offering a full dinner menu soon.
