He has done an amazing job working out some tough areas id been struggling with for years... shoulder blade knots, terrible neck tension. All relieved... On a street filled with food carts, why not add a massage cart?! Nestled between the Garden Center and the Great Notion Brewery, this tiny (and I mean TINY) cart allows for two customers at a time. The only thing that separates the two different massage areas is a thin sheet and the massage therapist put up a flimsy curtain to allow you to get undressed and under the sheets. It's a little bit of an awkward set up and you can hear people outside talking, there's a loud indoor fan and dogs barking outside at the other businesses, so it's not exactly the most peaceful environment. However, the massage therapist that I had, David, was great, attentive and overall gave a great massage. I would recommend a friend to have a massage here, mainly for the experience of a tiny massage card between a brewery in a garden; a very Portland experience. read more

Had a massage here recently. My massage therapist said it would be a "therapeutic massage" rather than a relaxing one, which is great! I typically appreciate a more deep tissue massage as I carry a lot of tension in my back and shoulders. Unfortunately this massage was not therapeutic and was weirdly paced. The massage therapist's attention was all over the place, the massage was not balanced (in that he did not do the same thing on both sides), and it seemed like he actively avoided the areas that I said I was having pain and tension in -- barely spent any time on my back, but boy howdy was he thorough on my legs (?!). Now my neck is in pain (has the 'tweaked' feeling of something being pulled) on the side he spent a lot of time on (not the side I've ever had issues with, so I know it's not just incidental. My posture/lifestyle only gives me right sided neck pain, never left). I wish I'd never gone for this massage. I should have just waited for my usual massage therapist to return from vacation. This massage therapist didn't address the problem I came in with (low back pain) but sure caused some new pains. And let me be clear, the neck pain is a sensitive sharp pain, not a typical "muscle soreness" pain. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because scheduling was very easy and convenient. read more

I rarely write reviews but I can't express how amazing Eevee was! I have a shoulder injury that I have been tending to with chiropractic and PT care for several months. It was so bad that I was using lidocaine twice a day on it and yet still struggling with constant pain. I decided to try a massage. Eevee read my notes to her before the session and after a few minutes of intake questions, she knew exactly what to do to help me. She did several stretching/pulling moves that really helped my muscles release. She used pressure points and kinetic movements as well. When I stood up, my range of motion was better and the non-stop pain I had been experiencing for months was nearly gone! I have gone almost 24 hours without lidocaine for the first time in months and actually slept the whole night through last night without pain. I also appreciate that Eevee didn't use too much oil... sometimes I leave a massage feeling greasy but whatever she did was perfect. I can't thank Eevee enough for this wonderful massage! I am definitely going back and telling everyone I know about this place! The massage cart is like a modified food truck. The interior has nice wood paneling all around. The air conditioner was audible but I didn't find it disruptive. The location probably helps keep the cost down since they are in a prime spot in the Alberta district and yet their prices are very reasonable. read more

This place is wonderful! I signed up for a membership and was able to book a massage the very next day for me and my husband. And he received the discounted membership price too! I went in for a tech buster and my husband went in for the signature massage. I wasn't sure if they offered full body since it's a clothes-on massage, but they asked right off the bat if I liked full body or just focusing on a specific area. So something to note for next time if you want a full body just make sure to dress appropriately. My husband's LMT was Caroline and I got Danny (Danielle). We were both really surprised about how long the massage felt. We were surprised that it was only a 1/2 hour! Danny was able to work out some of knots and and I felt so relaxed I took a nap as soon as I got home. We both also got a drink token to use at Sip, Townsends, or Great Notion. It just made for an even more pleasant experience. The location is great, both of our LMTs were great, just an overall awesome experience. I was visiting my friend in Portland and we had just finished brunch on Alberta st. and were looking for a last minute massage around the area and preferably a couples massage so we could be in the same room. Anyway, I am completely impressed by the cart. Easy online booking allowed us to look up and book an appoinment. There is plenty of shopping around the area so we just shopped for an hour and then came in. The therapists were super nice and greeted us once we rang the doorbell. I just wanted my back and shoulders and $45 for a half hour is a fantastic price. Plus, I purchased one gift box for us to share which included a drink next door, a cupcake across the street and some other fun stuff. You should know that it is clothed massage. I heeded these online reviews, and since the Alberta St. location is close to where i'm staying, figured the half-hour clothed massage was exactly what i needed. Heidi was my massage therapist. She provided an excellent and lengthy-seeming half-hour session, knowing exactly what my problem was, and exactly where to press. I am perplexed that the life goal of all humans is not to be under the hands of a masseuse such as Heidi for as many hours as possible. Pure bliss. Oh, and the little space was very warm and comfortable. My initial prejudice was that a "tiny cart" might be a little breezy and exposed; but in fact, once inside, the warm hum of the heater in the cozy space made me feel safe and warm. I messed up my neck pretty bad in a sledding accident and was desperate. The pain had been getting worse and worse every day. My head could barely turn or lift off my pillow ad my entire back was seized up. I called and within a few hours I was getting a massage. The cart is super cute and Caroline was amazing! I wish I worked by this cart so I could come here all the time. First off it's one of the most affordable massages you can get in Portland. Second, you can book day of (I booked my appointment a couple hours before my appointment). Third, it's a top notch massage with essential oils, focus on certain areas, a small relaxing room, and clothing options. The cart was warm and comfortable with soothing music and adjustable heat to your preference. There is room for a 2-person massage (date night or girls night out). The massage felt more like 60 minutes than 30 and she really targeted my desired areas. I've been to a lot of massages in Portland and hands down, this is one of the best. Clothes are kept on - and I opted for a sheet on top for the massage. There are a couple of options you can pick from (full body, back, legs...). I did the essential back massage and had the choice to 'flip' or stay facing down. Megan knew exactly where my problems were and got straight to work. I left feeling relaxed and the pain I had going in was much relieved. Pricing includes tip, so not awkwardness of having to add a tip.
