Foot soak after 2 hours of sauna relaxation
    Erin F.

I absolutely love Löyly. If you've never gone to a sauna before, I highly recommend coming here for your first experience. The staff are helpful and the culture and rules are clearly defined if you're like me and had first time jitters. Being naked with strangers can be intimidating in expectation but once you're in and have the lay of land, it's as natural and chill as being in your own home. Everyone is very quiet and self-focused and it's a meditative experience. If you're a non-nudy, bathing suits or towels work just fine and there's no judgement. The facilities are spotless and I love the option of a social or silent sauna. The tea and water are endless and the treatments are refreshing. I highly recommend trying the monthly special! It's affordable and makes me feel super pampered on a budget. I take my mom and sister every year for Christmas now and it's the highlight of their visit. Cons: - MLK is not the nicest part of town - it can be hard to find on your first visit Overall, I can't say enough good things! Just go!

My partner got me an amazing birthday package. This package included a visit to the facility for up to two hours, a one hour massage, a thirty minute facial, an aromatherapy foot soak with herbs and Jacobsen's mineral salts, a spruce body scrub and organic cleansing tea The massage was done by Aiden and the facial was done by Jessi. Both were so lovely. This was my first time getting a facial done. Jessi used the Evan Healy products. She explained everything that she was using on my face which I really appreciated. After I was done with using the facility she left me a note at the front where I checkd out. It had notes about how to clear up my acne scars!

Poor customer service. Spent quite a lot on a massage for a friend and the service was terrible.

My massage with Bobbie was not very good. He seemed very new and wouldn't stop talking. Was not the relaxing massage I was hoping for.

They were friendly but not in that fake way that you see in a lot of the surface industry. I was offered a choice between tea and water and was given my paperwork to fill out. My facial with Terril was very relaxing. We went into the treatment room and discuss what my concerns were with my skin and what I was hoping to get out of my appointment. Terril was very attentive, asking questions along the way. One thing I really liked was that the table was heated because I've been having some issues with my back that make it uncomfortable to lay down so having that heated surface under my back made my appointment even more relaxing. My skin felt amazing when she was done, even though she had to do a few extractions. I was so pleased that I went ahead and scheduled an appointment for a few months out so that my skin will be able to recover from the upcoming summer months. I highly recommend checking out this wonderful little spa and I look forward to returning for my next facial.

I had a full body scrub, a warm soak with vinotherapy, followed by a massage and a facial. Total sensory reboot. By the time I left, I felt like a new woman. Floaty, glowy, peaceful. It's in the cutest little part of town just off Broadway. Cozy, quiet, and exactly the kind of place you want to disappear into for a few hours. Especially excited to take my mother here! I booked with the "any available professional" option and was paired with Lisa, who was absolutely phenomenal. The spa itself is tucked away in a really cool little pocket of Portland, surrounded by shops and places you could easily make a day out of exploring. Bonus points for the public transportation stop right outside, so getting there is super easy! When I arrived, Lisa greeted me warmly and got me checked in. I had booked the Vinopure session, and while waiting, I enjoyed a complimentary drink--they offer wine, water, and tea (I went with tea ). The waiting area in the back was cozy and calm. What surprised me most was how spacious the spa actually is--it looks small from the front, but once you're inside, it opens up beautifully. Before starting, Lisa went over my goals and what kind of experience I wanted: therapeutic, relaxing, or something with skincare tips for aftercare. I chose a bit of both, though I quickly realized I got mostly the therapeutic side... because I was so relaxed that I fell asleep! And I appreciate that in the end she still went over what was used and what helped my skin. Shout out to the heated table! This experience instantly made me feel secure and comfortable, and I could actually feel the tension melting away from my face, neck, and shoulders. My body was trying to stay awake, but it didn't stand a chance against that level of calm. When the session ended, I genuinely felt like a new person. I felt like I was in such a Blissful state. I'll absolutely be coming back again--and next time, I want to try out some of their other massages and facials. This was easily one of my favorite self-care experiences ever. Highly recommend!

Some truly wonderful graffiti/urban art in the surrounding area. I digress. So this place is located inside of a modernish residential building. You would not know there is a SPA inside unless you actually go into the establishment, get checked in, and take the elevator up to the actual SPA. There you will see two nicely sized hot tubs and a cold plunge tub. Be warned that cold plunge is COLD! Opposite the tubs are the dry sauna and steam room which are HOT and the steam room is steamy! There is a wonderful outdoor relaxation deck with lots of lounge chairs and tables to take breaks in between soak, sauna, and steam. This deck area overlooks a portion of the Portland city scape and highway. What made this deck enjoyable for me was waxing existential about what the folks in the cars driving by on the freeway might be thinking as you head back for a second dip into the hot tub. The SPA, locker and shower, and changing areas are all thoroughly maintained, clean, and give you everything you need to transition back into the Portland Urban.
