The silky chicken stole the entire show

My coworkers and I wanted to do something special to celebrate the end of our project, and spending an hour and a half cuddling cute critters was the perfect treat. It was the middle of summer, so I was worried about finding an indoor venue that would keep us and the animals cool. The Tiny Tails staff were amazingly helpful and provided a list of indoor locations they'd used in the past. We ultimately ended up renting a conference room at a hotel, which worked out fabulously. The entire experience was so delightful and soothing. The animals are all total professionals -- you can tell they're used to noisy children's birthday parties because they were completely calm and nonplussed at being held by our group of adults. Highly recommend. Excellent communication and responsiveness from the TT staff throughout the entire process.

Kaylee was outstanding with her Tiny Tails animals. Waffle the bearded dragon and the adorable hedge hog were favorites with our group. The Chinchilla was also very sweet! All the bunnies, the Greek Tortoise, Guinea Pig, and the miniature chicken were also delightful to pet and spend time holding them. Our group of 16 really enjoyed themselves and were excited to have the opportunity to see such lovely animals. We would certainly recommend them for any party or get together. We had a last minute booking. The scheduling was very quick and easy.

WONDERFUL!!! With coronavirus limitations, it was hard to celebrate my son's birthday so we booked a Virtual Petting Zoo for his Zoom kindergarten class. They loved it!!! Miss Allie is fantastic with children, and kept them educated and entertained. Even the adults learned something new! (Did you know a bearded dragon has three eyes?) My sons got to choose which animal was presented next, and Miss Allie also coordinated a birthday song with the students and the animals too. I'm so thrilled we found Tiny Tails to help us celebrate!

Tiny tails to you came to a yelp elite event that I attended. Was honestly the highlight of the party! The animals were very calm. You could tell they are well taken care of. And they had such a large variety to choose from. I held animals ranging from chicken to horned lizard! Definitely recommend for a big party. The staff was also super friendly and very chill. Also very knowledgeable if you asked them questions! Great for kids and adults alike!

This was epic. I remember the days where teambuilding meant trust falls and zip lines. How much more amazing is it to bond with your team over little peter cottontail? We had hedgehogs, bunnies, chickens and chicks and a chinchilla. It was wonderful. I also liked seeing how well taken care of they were. They all had their own little setups that were just right for them, and they all seemed very happy and healthy, which is always my only concerns with stuff like this. The gals who facilitated were super cute as well - very knowledgeable and friendly. I'm sure there are downsides (like lots of tinkle and poop) but it seems like a very happy job.

We hired TT for my son's 3 YO's birthday party. It was such a great experience for the kiddos. Madison was so sweet and playful and all the animals were adorable. We'll probably book them again for the next birthday party, the kids had such a good time with it!

Tiny tails to you was awesome! The customer service experience was quick and she was very communicative. The party part-so fun! We can't remember names but we had a lady and a taller man with a beard. They were both so kind and patient with the kiddos. The animas were a hit too! The whole process was stress free and fun! We will definitely use them again. Kids of all ages liked it.

We hired Tiny Tails To You for my daughter's birthday party and they were fantastic! They were great in communicating everything ahead of time. Staff showed up right on time and we got a full hour (not including set-up/clean-up). The kids (and adults!) had a blast and all of the animals were so friendly and cute. Loved the hedgehog - I think his name was Ozzy? Highly recommend!

This birthday experience was amazing!! We had over 30 children at the party, and Danny was so great and patient with the kids as they came in and out of the animal area in their groups. While it is pricey, it's completely worth it! Such a unique and special experience.

I don't have a lot of experience with mobile petting zoos, but I have to imagine that this is about as good as it gets. I don't know what would make it better. I know that if you go to a regular petting zoo they don't let you get smashed on white wine while playing with the animals, so clearly Tiny Tails at least has THAT advantage. As made obvious by the name, the staff come to you with their entire mobile set-up. I was at a (very strange) house party, and they set up in the living room. They laid down some tarps and erected a corral and after a couple of minutes of explanation, it was cuddle time! Soon we were all passing tiny animals back and forth, oohing and awing and looking at their adorable, smushy face. The star of the show was obviously the chinchilla. While it was sweet and impossibly soft, I preferred the guinea pigs. They're just the sweetest little animals and I can see why elementary school children are such big fans. They also had some rabbits, baby chicks, and some other animals I'm just not remembering. All pretty chill, but if they started to get stressed, the handlers took them back and put then little baskets to get some privacy. It was all so cute and I'm confident that these animals are well cared for. Fun for kids and drunk adults. Sober adults would probably enjoy it, too!

Is this only available by bookings for large party groups? Can a simple family of four that digs critters of all sorts able to partake?

Planning for a child's birthday. Would recommend Tiny Tales arriving at the scheduled party time or a little later to maximize time?

Hi! We usually recommend having us start 15-30 minutes after the party starts. Guests usually arrive a little late and want to greet each other at the beginning of a party. Feel free to call with any other questions!

Can anyone give me an idea of the cost?

Yes! We had a party with them. The basic cost is $275. Then you can add on extras like we added another member of staff and more animals. So ours cost $325.

Then you can head over to the birds of prey, the reptile/fish building, and the animal enclosures. There's also a little lake and a large sand pit (dino dig). There's a cool room in the visitor center that has all sorts of nature items (bones, dead bugs, shells, rocks, etc.). You can bring in your own stuff to trade! Is it a huge amount of things to do/see? No but for a free attraction, it's pretty great. Parking is across the street -- lot is shared with Zilker Park and all the nearby attractions so it can get busy.

Fortunately, the Austin Nature & Science Center ended up falling in the latter category. The main building houses an assortment of bones, shells, and rocks (as well as an axolotl tank) and another building is home to various reptiles. Outside areas include a dino pit (where kids can dig for fossils) and several animal enclosures. What makes the latter unique is that the animals are rehab/rescue cases. They include everything from a bobcat to a porcupine to a 34-year-old one-eyed owl (!!) and more. Granted, Austin Nature & Science Center does offer more for a younger crowd, and it isn't particularly easy to get to by bus, but it's hard to argue with a chance to take in flora and fauna for free.

I've heard rumors they treat the animals poorly and when I saw the animals I'm starting to believe them. I've also heard about what they do to the animals dead bodies and I'm DISGUSTED. What are they doing to these poor animals because from my own knowledge you're not supposed to put an animal that been held CAPTIVE back into the wild. Even with that one of the workers told me that evil place is their forever home more like forever prison or death sentence. I also saw rust in the water the animals were drinking and this is what they claim is an animal sanctuary?? On top of all of this I saw a worker with no bra on and nearly got flashed, MY GRANDKIDS were with me. On top of all of this I met a woman Kim and she was SO RUDE and made my grandkids uncomfortable. That woman immediately gave me predatory vibes and I felt like I needed to get them out of there as soon as possible. I will NEVER return.

We left our wagon in the car due to those reviews and later regretted it. You can get by with a sturdy stroller here (with robust wheels). A flimsy one might struggle in some areas. Most of the walking areas are flat (not paved though) but there are a few gnarly areas that are pretty rocky and situated on an incline. I'm posting photos for reference although it might be a bit tough to see. The zoo could really smooth these areas out to make things easier and safer for visitors. Ultimately, the zoo is fairly small -- I had my youngest in a front-facing carrier while my 3YO walked. Second, I wanted to note that the Austin Zoo is not affiliated with the city of Austin. They are a private non-profit organization that does not receive city funding or have any management by the city. They are a rescue-based zoo wherein their animals come from seizures and surrenders, etc. They really should change their name -- I think many visitors expect this to be a city zoo (setting their standards high, only to be inevitably disappointed). I am having a hard time rating this zoo. It is a non-profit that seeks to help animals and it seems like they don't receive funding to do so. At the same time, this place generally seemed a bit run down/dirty. Some of the animals seemed sad/stressed (saw a monkey and an ostrich with missing fur/feathers). Now, I know these are rescues so I can't confidently attribute that stress to conditions at the zoo -- possible that it's related to their past experiences or just general adjustment to a new place. Last but certainly not least, many of the enclosures are way too small for the animals they're housing. This is alarming. I know they're being rescued but perhaps there's a better home for them. The tickets are not exactly cheap. Although children under 2 are free, 2+ tickets are 16.95. That's only $3 less than adult pricing. I get that they don't get city funding but at those prices, I'd at least expect the grounds to look less run down than they did. Also, they don't give you a map nor did I see one posted anywhere (you have to rely on an online map on their website). Once again, they really could invest some revenue toward enhancing the visitor experience. Don't miss the train ride since there are some animals (like the porcupine) that can only be viewed from the train. The conductor (also ticket salesman) was super nice. He also very politely asked my husband to switch spots with my toddler (so she wouldn't be on the open side of the train car). I appreciated that greatly. The gift shop was surprisingly cute and had a bunch of great souvenir options. Beautiful peacocks roaming the grounds is a nice touch. Ultimately, a bit of an uncomfortable visit given the sad animals, inadequate enclosure size, lack of general upkeep, and relatively expensive tickets.

Even though we had chilly weather and a little rain, it didn't stop us one bit. We ended up picking close to seven pounds of fresh strawberries and they were so tasty and juicy. There's even a helpful little sign explaining how to pick the strawberries properly so they last longer. *Pro tip, leave a bit of the stem on the strawberry as you pick them, they stay fresh longer. We learned that after the fact, but we'll definitely do it right next time. The farm is huge, around 152 acres of expansive land, which was very green, open, and peaceful. It wasn't crowded at all the day we went, which made it even more enjoyable. The kids had a blast. They have a cute little train ride, a fun bouncing area, and plenty of space for the kiddies to run around. The goats were a big highlight for us. You can buy feed for 25 cents a tiny cup, and we went through four pretty quickly - you might want to grab more upfront because they close at 5 and we didn't get a chance to go back for more goat feed. The setup around the goat area was really nice and whimsical, and there's just so much open space to explore and walk and get fresh air. They also have a small gift shop with ice cream and little goodies, which was a nice touch after being out in the fields. Overall, it was such a peaceful, fun, and memorable day. They said because it's too big and I said too tall or too big size because we can weigh it out And measured the child's weight, but then I seen another child come to the horse and ask why the horse is standing around and I said the same thing to my friend Child. I said they said that the children cannot ride this any longer because the saddle is broken and then after that, they let someone Ride the horse with knowing that the saddle is broken. I did not have a good feeling about that, so I took my child far away from the horse just in case something was going to happen the bunnies, the ducks, the little chickens. The goats were very cute. Children tried to pick them up. Man said no do not pick up the animals, but the way he said it it was in the little rude way the child started to run and come to its parent at that point I came up and I said please don't speak to the child this way because mine also is playing with the animals. I spoke to one of the coworkers and said how long have you worked here and is it a good company because I have others who want to use the company for a birthday party for the children and they said yes but it's my first day so therefore I have a lot of questions because I came to this job thinking I was trained and there is no training and now I am having to tell children not to pick up the animals and they're unhappy because the parents said that they can't ride the horse so the children became very unhappy because the party was cut short. Sounds like the people who are working need more training and need to be able to know that if the saddle is broken, you need to fix it before bringing it to the party and please don't vape or smoke any other electronic cigarettes at the party because that was very concerning as adults have seen you And you are working for one of the families. You should know that there is no smoking at a child's party so your boss should've trained you better and you should know better as adult. I was very concerned when I seen the man smoking electronics at the birthday party and I have spoken to one of the parents about it and that was not allowed that was not in the contract that was signed and verbally spoken about also Safety. Concern of a child is very important. That is something that's going to be spoken about to others.
