Crowded little restaurant in Dwight. It didn't even have any other customers in here and it was still hard to get around inside. Tio Tino's is a small family owned restaurant. Has mostly an authentic menu. Only complaint besides the prices is there's not a lot for vegetarians to eat except appetizers and such. Authentic menu of classic Mexican favorites. It's just kind of limited. The drinks are in a refrigerator you get yourself. It's about $4 for a bottle of Mexican beer. That's a lot. Food is better. The only thing is there's not much for vegetarians. Guacamole of course. It's about $6 for a cup. This was chunky and fresh. Has tacos but these are all beef and chicken. They also have breakfast if you're early to get here. For the most part the flavors are good. It has a pretty limited menu because the place is small. The menu is very limited for vegans and vegetarians. read more

Decent tacos, nothing special. The skirt steak was dry and bland, the regular steak was the same. The salsa is mostly salt. I love chip and salsa and the chips were ok the salsa was way too salty. Pretty much a pass. read more

Have been here a few times in my travels to and through Dwight. The tacos here are, by far, my favorite in town. I was there for a quick lunch and had a taco meal -- the tacos (3) were excellent and the meal included refried beans and seasoned rice. The services was friendly and quick. The guy at the register (where you order) was helpful in answering any questions about the dishes. The place is nice inside, nothing special, but nice and quaint. Their prices are honest and average for good Mexican food -- 3 taco meal was just over $11 (with water). Will definitely be back! read more

Deceptive pricing! Website menu is much different than actual prices. I realize that some of that is not uncommon these days. But when I asked the server about the discrepancies she told me that the owner is well aware of this and simply chooses not to change the web site menu. Wife and I had 3 tacos each ( not the meal--no beans or rice ). A small order of Guac a beer a Margarita and chips and salsa. With a tip I paid $60 !! Example: tacos were advertised at $2.65 each ( taco Tuesday ). But in reality they were $3.50. The Guac was advertised at $6.95. But actually cost $8.95 Most Mexican restaurants provide free chips and salsa. Not here. I think they were about $3 for a small basket. Very small place. No shades for a west window with blinding sunlight. No more for me!! read more

The restaurant is a small mom and pop place, and you can tell. I so want to love this place, but the food and service tend to be hit or miss. The menu prices do not reflect the actual prices. I understand that the cost for everything has gone up, but all of their food is quite pricey. I have been a handful of times, and nothing seems to ever go right. The lady, with the glasses that normally works the front, is not very pleasant. It takes her forever to get your drinks and she always forgets stuff and sometimes even if you have asked more than once. The food used to be pretty decent, but the quality has gone down. I went a couple weeks ago, and their oil needed to be changed because you could taste it on the chips. Normally chips and salsa are free at Mexican restaurants, but not this one! They also changed their chorizo to a cheaper kind that is not as good. Their margaritas aren't great either, they use premade mixes and flavors. They don't take tap as a form of payment, and they have a 3% convenience fee when you pay with a card. I am sad to say I won't be eating here again, and I would give some thought when picking a place to eat in Dwight. Maybe try Dwight Pizza or The Country Club...I've never had a bad experience at either place! read more
