I booked a 7:30 AM appointment for a "Gold Package" detail over two weeks in advance. Because I had commitments in the evening, I explicitly confirmed with the booking coordinator that the car needed to be ready by the afternoon. I even paid out-of-pocket for a rental car for the day so I wouldn't clutter their waiting room. When I arrived at 4:00 PM with my child to swap the cars, I was completely caught off guard. The front desk told me it wouldn't be ready until close. When I pressed a technician for a real status, she claimed it would be another two hours and "just the outside" was left. That was a complete fabrication. When I finally demanded my car back as-is, the truth came out: after sitting on their lot for 8.5 hours, my car hadn't even been started. It gets worse. To rush it out, the detailer just sprayed water on the outside, threw my soaking wet floor mats--covered in chemical residue--straight into the back of my vehicle, and piled my personal dashboard items directly on top of the wet chemicals. My child's soccer chair and my legal vehicle ownership documents are now water-logged and ruined. When I brought this to the Service Manager, she showed zero compassion or accountability, offering a generic "I'll talk to my team" brush-off. When I called back later to report that my legal documents were ruined by her staff, she literally had her team lie and say she had left for the day, right after two other employees confirmed she was still there. This isn't my first bad experience here--a previous visit involved waiting 45 minutes past closing just to get my keys--but it is absolutely my last. Now I'm stuck on a weeks-long waiting list with other detailers because this team wasted my entire day and damaged my documents Avoid this location if you value your time, your money.

Car was making a noise when I hit 100-110k, I didn't notice when I bought it as I drove at 80 when I test it. I told them when I noticed it, no one care, then I took it in and they checked it and changed one tire and said it's good to go. I noticed the noise still there, they wouldn't come with me or even take it on the highway to test it saying it's danger to go above 100k, I said yes but even 100k you still hear it, this is the normal highway speed, still no one cared. A few months later I changed the tires to winter tires but the Mechanic didn't noticed the difference until the summer when I went to change the tires at Costco back to the summer tires, they refused as the tire the dealer changed was different one and Costco can't take the liability as this is danger. When I went back to the dealer they said it's compatible and they won't do anything. I ended up buying a whole new set costing me $1500. Then tried to install dashcam, the guy that installed it noticed something wrong with the rearview mirror as it should hook to it for power and it had no power, so I called in and they said go to the guy that install it, I tried to explain the power to the mirror has been missing since I bought it as I didn't know, I'm not a mechanic, then they said it will cost me to go to diagnosing. I will never go do maintenance there or buy another car from them ever again, and will make sure all my friends and family know.

He had to speak to management first, then great news we have approved a 3.99% rate for you. Went through the remainder of the sales process. I had to ask for a copy of my sales receipt, this was not given freely. When I reviewed it, they had added $2,300 to the cost of the car to "buy down" the interest rate. Instead of telling me the interest rate comes from head office and is not negotiable, they tried to hide it in the purchase agreement and clearly they don't like customers reviewing the invoice too closely. I cancelled the sale, got my deposit back and went to a different dealership. I think I should have read the reviews before I started there, this seems to be common practice at Clarington Hyundai. Buyer beware at this dealership.

    Recently purchased the 2025 palisade from this dealership. I purchased a BRAND NEW vehicle and yet…read morethe seat came damaged. I told them while purchasing and they said they would replace it. They did.. WITH ANOTHER DAMAGED SEAT. When I showed them the damaged prior to leaving the dealership they said "we don't have enough palisade seats on site to replace it so go through Hyundai Canada". Also, somehow they are selling brand new cars without the mats because Hyundai apparently sends them separately. So what am I supposed to use in the meantime when my kids are going to drag in mud and dirt from all the rain and winter like conditions we are having in April. I can't even return the car apparently because I would have loved to go to another dealer at this point. ABSOLUTELY the worst car experience I've EVER had. Would not recommend. Take your money elsewhere. I bet Honda or Toyota which are on the same street would not treat their customers like this. They ruined the entire experience of buying a new car.
