I've tried this place about 4 times and every time the food is delicious! I love their sandwiches and chili cheese fries the most!

Horrible service, mediocre philly cheese steak. The philly cheese steak was not good, the was almost no cheese and the bread roll was way to big I had a good 4 bites of pure bread before I even got to the meat. Not worth the price. The french fries were absolutely delicious, however it's just too damn bad when I tried ordering a Large instead of a Small I had some incompetent hispanic employee that didn't speak a lick of English. I spent about 3 minutes of charades trying to describe to him that I was trying to order a Large. But I finally just gave up, and frustratedly paid for the small. If it was just the mediocre Philly Cheese Steak then I wouldn't mind giving this place another chance. But I don't see that happening because I don't speak Spanish. Maybe if they hired some employees that could understand what I'm trying to order then I would be back. But I'm definitely never coming here again. read more

I have been going to this dive fir about twenty yrs now same. Tasty hamburgers and awesome fries. A bit pricy but well worth it! Love it!

This place is OK for the philly cheese steak, but I'll give it - 10 for the hot pastrami sandwich, it was (dry) (bland) and (discasting) for 11.99 please you can get great meal anywhere for that price not garbech!!!!! We come here for their Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. That thing is huge, footlong for $6. Get it with extra cheese, you can't beat that deal. Very quick service. You can call ahead for pickup. Highly recommend as an alternative For most fast food in the area. read more

Recently tried this place out and I liked it . Guys that work at this place are cool they took our order 10 minutes before closing and have us a good amount of fries and the burgers also tasted good. The only thing I didn't like is the price Almost $30 for 2 carne asada fries n a burger . I feel that a bit pricey but the quality was pretty good read more

This is the 2nd and last time my boyfriend and I will be here. I honestly only came here today because my boyfriend wanted to try the burrito, but now hes upset and refuses to come back. He is extremely patient and for him to say he's done it's a bad sign. For starters the woman at the register is extremely rude. She never smiles,is always short with people, and has a bad attitude. People come here to spend their money at her establishment yet she acts like you're doing her the favor being there. The food is okay on a good day. Today we got the onion rings, Denver burrito, and chorizo and egg burrito. The onion rings are part of what caused him to be upset. He asked for an extra ranch and she responded, "there's already one in the bag." He said he knew which is why he asked for an extra one. She said, "that will be an additional 55 cents." He said, "additional?" She said then responded, "yes additional because I already charged you for the first one. If we didn't charge people would be asking for 5 or 10 ranch." Wrong answer!You should state in your menu your side's do not come with ranch. Most restaurants provide 1 free ranch with things like onion rings or zucchini. To top it off the onion ring batter is bland so they weren't good at all.If you drown them in ranch they are edible.Now moving onto these burritos. The Denver burrito is overloaded with potatoes that are dry and the burrito as a whole is very bland tasting. My boyfriend liked his chorizo burrito which is the only reason this review gets 1 star, besides the fact that the lowest rating possible is 1 star. Overall the food is bland and lacks seasoning. This morning I decided to have breakfast here with my kids and honestly the food was nothing real special. There are not too many burger joints in the valley but if your looking for that old school LA burger joint flavor it will do. My girls seemed to enjoy the mushroom swiss burgers. The drinks where free refills which was cool. I had an egg white omelet but I probably could have done a better job at home. The serving where a bit small but I probably will be back. read more

Saw this retro-looking spot on my way to the DMV and pulled in to try it out. Got the cheesesteak & onions +fries. Wait was not too long, even though busy. Cook seemed a bit pressed but worked pretty smoothly with counter guy to keep it moving. Nice meatyfriedtater smell, cute little place, staff were nice, customers seemed happy to be there. Meat was pretty lean and flavorful, maybe a bit overdone, left on the grill a tad long... Pretty good portion of steak but still a bit lost in the roll. Little diced onions, IDK, maybe longer strands would be better... Roll was really nice, though. Needed more cheese, so pay for extra. Seems like Jack cheese, maybe cheeze whiz option would be nice. Fries were excellent, nice thick crispy outside hot fluffy inside. Add the seasoned salt! Cost was 11.25....Not cheap but how many cheesesteak places are there in SFV? So, after turning to Yelp for a recommendation for a hamburger joint, and after leaving one highly recommended hamburger place because there was a 45 min wait just to take our order (!!!!???? See my review for Tasty Burger ), we came across another little hole in the wall burger joint with mostly good reviews... Despite the horribly out of date decor of faded framed pre 80's celebrities, and the filthy counter top and floors, (Yes, I did read the reviews warning about that), we ordered the special, which was a double cheeseburger, fries and a drink, and to our relief, it was delicious... The burgers were hot, flavorful, juicy...perfect charbroiled taste... Fries were not bad either.. for being the fat ones, that is... So all in all, I give this place a 4 star rating... Minus one star for decor and cleanliness of dining area (although maybe that should be a minus 2 star... But they redeemed themselves with the quality of food...) read more

Been coming to this place for years . Cheeseburger combo has always been on point. Now I usually order the works philly cheese steak and add lettuce. They have banana peppers which is a nice add . They have a fifties style atmosphere with famed celebrities of that era which I've always enjoyed about this place . read more

I go here all the time for their philly cheese steaks! Easily the best philly cheese steak in all of Los Angeles. It's cool staring at the pictures of old Hollywood actors and actresses on the ceiling. The place could be a tad cleaner, but it's nothing drastic. All in all, I freaking love this place. read more
