I've seen other reviews and they always have Pacoima Costco in the reel. So I thought it was near or in the Costco lot. It IS Costco adjacent. Very quick and easy to get to. Instead of being a jerk and turning left out of the gas exit, you turn right (like the sign says). Turn right at the next major street, Bradley. About 1/2 a mile it's on the corner of Bradley and Van Nuys. The food truck is inside a nice paved parking lot. The building is easy to spot and lots of visible signs. The guy taking my order was super nice and patient while I decided. I wasn't really hungry but they're closed on Mondays so I took chicken to go. I got the house special Tokyo Tender and Yuzu Sou with sauce on the side. I tried a couple of bites and the chicken was flavorful. Very unique tastes that I've never had before. Chicken itself wasn't as crispy as I hoped. It's basically the same chicken probably tossed in the different sauces. Maybe I would have had a more infused flavor. They have a really nice covered seating area. Big industrial fans but it's still the Valley. I'm too precious to sit in any kind of heat. I loved the murals. It was a super cool vibe. Combining Pacoima with a touch of Japan. I can't wait to go back (when it cools off) to try some drinks and side dishes. read more

First time trying this place after seeing a review on instagram and I can say the food was worth it The chicken was tender and juicy. The flavors I got were TT sauce, garlic soy, and buffalo. Buffalo was ok not super spicy just right but garlic soy and the TT sauces were amazing I would get a bucket of both flavors if I could. Sadly I couldn't get more but Next time I'll try the fries and one of the shakes. The price was worth it and the location is nice and cool to sit and eat we will be back for sure read more

Been anticipating the opening of this establishment for a bit now since I'm super local in the area, and let me tell you I've never had chicken the way I had at Tokyo tenders today! Soy garlic and their house flavors seemed to be the move. Paired along with an order of fries and their special slaw. The slaws creaminess went so well with their tenders did end up putting some in the slaw with the side sauces and mixed it up. I do like that they were chopped and for me I don't mind eating them with a fork. Chicken was juicy, and had a nice crust! Strawberry shake was delicious everything overall is 2 big thumbs up I'll be back! read more

First time checking out Tokyo Tenders. I wanted to try all the flavors, so I went ahead and got the Tokyo flavors option and I also got the matcha shake. Art, who was running the register and doing customer service was very hospitable and accommodating. Those reasons alone would make me go back again. All four flavors were really good. I'd have to say my favorite were the yuzu and the buffalo, but don't get me wrong the original and garlic soy were equally as great. As for the shake, it was also delicious especially during this hot day. Not overpowering, nice smooth texture. I will be coming back again to try some of the other shakes and that last chicken option, which was churro seasoning. Dug the space as well, outside sitting with tons of shade and a nice breeze. For months we have driven by and saw the "coming soon" signs, waiting for the day we can eat here. It was worth the wait. The food was very flavorful with different types of sauces. To help wash the food down you can get a very well blended milkshake in 4 flavors of Vanilla, Chocolate, strawberry or Macha. As well as sodas and water. To top off your meal, you can have their chicken churros. Chicken cut into cubes with a sprinkling of cinnamon and a caramel sauce to pour on top and shake to mix all together. We were pleasantly surprised by that sweet treat. The service was top notch and very friendly, making you feel welcome and comfortable. The ambiance of the surroundings was modern and made it feel almost like a family gathering. Safe to say we will be back time and time again. read more

Came here after their grand opening a few days ago. Wanted to try it because my friend had told me about it and I love trying new chicken tender places. The place was already packed a bit like a little party was going on in the dining area which by the way I like their set up but looks can be deceiving though because when I got their I thought the place was a brick and mortar but when I entered through the parking lot I finally go to see what it really was. An outdoor style tender place which in my opinion is unique and cool! If you're worried about being hot while eating there don't fret they do have a giant fan turning for the dining area. I think their actual brick and mortar store is mostly likely their storage/commissary area which is quite convenient because it's quick access from their food truck kitchen to their storage. But maybe who knows it'll change in the future but for now I'm enjoying how the lay out is! Be ready to wait because it'll be around 10-15mins but it's worth it because the food was great! I got the two tender combo with a match shake and a Diet Coke. It also came with fries and a slaw. As the menu shows you get to choose from 7 different flavors. I chose the garlic soy and the buffalo bold and spicy. First off I destroyed the matcha shake before i even got home. I'm not into matcha too much but when the worker said this was their best drink from the 4 you get to choose from I believed it. I'd like to say the slaw was pretty good! It's just shredded cabbage with their dressing on top and you get it in a cool little shaker bowl which reminded me of the glory days of the late 90s early 00s McDonald's when they introduced the Mc salad shaker. The slaw had a nice crunch and fresh taste to it with the dressing that was not too overtly sweet or savory it was just right in flavoring and had the right amount in it. I like my salads with less dressing because I don't want my greens swimming in sauce but to each their own and their slaw was just right for me. Next thing I tried was the fries, boy oh boy let me tell you I don't know what they seasoned their fries with but it was super good like it had this umami flavor that is in or on it and every bite was just flavor after flavor! The last time I had really good French fries was from checkers/rallys (btw don't sleep on their fries it's the best) anyways the fries were really good and i honestly should of gotten more but what they give you in the combo is a great portion anyways. The next thing I tried was their Buffalo bold and spicy tender. Now as the picture shows you do get tenders but they chop it up and serve as such, tossed tender nuggets. You probably get like 1-3 tenders chopped and tossed in the sauces of your choice because first glance it looks a lot in those little slots in the box. So the Buffalo flavor I will say it's definitely bold. It had this citrusy umami flavor to it which made it wonderful but I will say for people who do like spicy food that is not spicy at all soo with that being said you will enjoy it I think because regular Buffalo sauce its sort of spicy but this one they cut the spice a bit by making it more flavorful. The next thing I tried was really good btw the garlic soy. I loved the fact that there were fresh sliced garlic chips topped on the tenders if you look at the photo I posted you'll see it! For me every bit was garlic heaven. I think the sauce was also garlicky and soy based cause when I had it without the garlic chips I could taste the infusion there which was good and flavorful on its own without the garlic chips but with it man again garlic heaven. So if you like garlic then you will love that! I had a chance to speak with the owner V, he was very nice and really cared about his food which by the way it's gluten free so for all the gluten intolerant this place is friendly for you! With that being said I was treated to a free yuzu tender to try and man I thought the garlic soy was my favorite but the yuzu soy was phenomenal! The tenderness of the nuggets from it being tossed in that citrusy yuzu soy sauce was the right move! I even got a side of the yuzu sauce too! Btw It's not ponzu sauce that's different. Anyways I think this place is a great tender spot and for those who want more flavor and something different than your average Dave's hot chicken or canes or Nashville spice and what not this place is the place to go to! My next visit for sure I'll do the three tender combo because I want to try their other flavors which are interesting and you'll see what I'm talking about when you look at the menu! All and all this place is a great addition to the local community and a great change of pace when it comes to chicken tenders. For me I give it 5 stars! Thanks guys I'll be there again! :) read more

Great place! I've never had chicken tenders like these before. Besides being delicious, it's a whole experience! The fresh slaw comes with sauce that you shake together yourself, so it stays fresh and crunchy instead of getting soggy. The tenders are also really unique - one side is crispy while the other is soft, which I've never seen before, and I loved it! The service was great and super friendly. The atmosphere is really cool too, with graffiti all around and a fun, energetic vibe. Definitely a place worth checking out! read more

The tenders were cut up (nugget size) instead of strips. I must say, it was still very good but I prefer more sauced; and the fries were great. Mixed feelings about the slaw.
