Although the facility is nice my compliments go to the tech whose name is "Sonny"!!! He did an outstanding job w/ my pedicure, Nails and eyebrows!!! He took his time w/my feet, he paid attention to areas that needed more TLC and gave his full attention to giving me the best pedicure ever!!! He was amazing! Then he did a great job on my nails I went ahead and let him do my brows and I am very picky about who touch my brows and he did not disappoint!! So far this is the best nail shop in the bmore area, but again it wasn't the shop it was the tech that made my experience unforgettable. I am so happy that I now have a great nail Home! I got my toes and my nails done, my toes looked okay but the color was only middle and wasn't in the corners. My nails looked HORRIBLE!! I was charged $175 for a full set and Pedicure. The guy didn't listen or couldn't understand me at all. I have a bad toenail from an injury and asked for acrylic nails to be made but he put tip which because I was exhausted and tried to relax I didn't realize it. They looked horrible. My toenails grow upward on the foot that was injured so the tips were pointed up and could see the nail underneath. I asked for something with Minnie mouse or Mickey Mouse because we were going to Disney cruise and everything I showed him he couldn't do all he kept saying was I give you flowers I give you flowers. While I was getting my pedicure, the woman started doing my nails, so there was no way to actually relax at this point. She never asked me how long I wanted them and cut them real short without even asking me first and that's not what I wanted because I have Big fingers and short nails make my fingers look bigger and she couldn't do anything that I asked either. I finally just asked for pink tips and little polkadots on the tip and she did pink tips, but then started putting the polkadots all over the whole nail, which covered up the pink tip. I stopped her. She fixed the rest of them, but left the ring finger like that. Also, he cut the bottom of my heel so bad and it hurts so bad that I could barely walk on it. He also use the scrub which I told him not to because my skin sensitive and my feet were blistered and swollen. My nails were so thick that within a few days it looked like they need to fill in already, and my cuticles had scabs in three fingers from her cutting my cuticle. Also the same night I got home and realized my pinky FAKE TIP already came off. The pinky nail on my left hand came off too. I had to order fake toenails and fingernails to try to fix what I could before we got on the cruise. Basically it was a nightmare, and I will never go back and the sad part is, I used to go there for many years when the other owner Tina was there. I also didn't like the fact that the whole time I was sitting there and trying to communicate with both of them what I wanted, they were just not their head, yes and smile and continue talking to each other in their language and never listen to me once and because of that, I've got nothing that I wanted a cut on my foot cut on my cuticles and nails that looked horrible and I couldn't wait to get the hell out of there read more

Well this location was a nice find. Needed to get my nails done before my daughter's wedding and my friend suggested this location so we could catch up while we got mani/pedi. Well we had an appointment for 4:30 pm but I arrived early & went in to get started. That's when I was transported to the Emerald City to find myself in the pedicure chair with 3 people working on my buff & shine like the tin man lol. I was thinking wow this is awesome. I explained what I wanted done to my nails and I just sank into the massage chair and relaxed. I had 1 person working on my feet and another on my nails while in the massage chair. They were all friendly, courteous and whatever I asked for they could do it! How did I miss this location?? I had an amazing pedicure and leg massage and color looked great on toes. One of the best pedicures I've ever had! By now my friend is in the seat next to me and she too is getting full treatment with 2 people working on her mani/pedi. Whoop whoop!! I got a special French manicure (seen in pic) and it came out amazing! I couldn't believe how she was able to do my nails while I was still sitting in the pedicure chair. She did everything to my nails except for final drying process. I was done with my pedicure and moved to manicure station where my nails were completed. My friend wasn't quite done yet so I paid & sat waiting for her to finish. While getting my pedicure I watched a gentleman nail tech go to town in his nose. Not even worried about trying to hide this he continued to dig in and out of each nostril wiping the grossness all on the blue towel that us customers lay our hands on when getting our manicures. not once did he replace and put a clean new towel down either. He then precededs to do a pedicure without even washing his hands. Soo grossed out by this man. The girl who did my pedicure was amazing unfortunately I won't be back because now I'm worried was else is being over looked here. read more

I had my nails done here all the time and I had one of the older gentlemen do my nails and I was back in a few days because my nails broken half so I had 3 nails repaired and the next day I went away and the broke again I came home and had them done by someone else letting them know hadn't even had my nails for 2 weeks and had them repaired 3 times already and this was 3rd visit. Told me to sit in pedicure chair and said soak feet while waiting because I had been waiting an hour and half already she was something giving me something special because I didn't ask for pedicure so I never got my broken nails done got a pedicure I didn't ask for and I had to go to a party with missing broken nails. So I come back next day and had them fixed and they charged me 90.00 for pedicure and nails never gave me anything for the crappy experience I will not be back. read more

Loved this salon until November.. now this location is poorly managed with mediocre techs. The manager (new owner?) put nails on me and they were so thick, that upon refill, her own tech asked where I got such a bad set of nails. She prides herself on her speed but her work is shoddy. I tired of her telling me how crazy she was. I've tried at least 4 different techs for full set, fills and pedicures and I haven't come away with anything outstanding since they changed hands. I have been going to tip top nails for years for my pedicures. Yesterday I went in to get a full set and there were about 15 people In the salon versus the 10 max allowed. I witnessed them reuse a pedicure bowl/chair without cleaning/sanitizing the chair or bowl. I mentioned that they had not been cleaned to natalie, thinking maybe she forgot because they were busy. She states that it is okay because they use the bags in the bowls. I explained to her that doesn't matter because they still empty the bags into the bowl and people had their feet in the bags of water. She proceeded to allow the chairs to be used dirty. My full set also turned out horrible. My nails are so thick and just look bad. I will not be returning. read more

This place is now owned by a new person and it's so awful. I came in to get a pedicure and I should have walked out after seeing the nail polishes. There are barely any OPI polishes, mostly wet n wild and china glaze. I have never seen a nail place stock such cheap and outdated polishes. Then I'm told which seat to take and an awkward, older man comes over. I put my feet in the water and he turns on the jet and the water starts spraying up and out of the bowl. He drains it, refills it, and it gets worse from here. I had an OPI Polish on that had glitter in it.....he was using a very tiny piece of cotton with polish remover to take it off. Instead of using more nail polish remover he actually tried to file the polish off. This man thought I was going to let him file the hell out of my toe nails to get polish off. I told him to stop and I would remove the polish myself. He then says he was just trying to hurry. I replied, "I'm the only customer in here and 4 of you are working, why are you trying to go so fast". My feet were barely in the water for three minutes and he tries to use a grater on my heel. I asked for the pumice stone and he didn't have one. I do not believe this place is sanitary because the tools were just in an empty jar with no solution. I was unbelievably uncomfortable. I kept wanting to stop and leave but I just didn't want to be rude. The entire pedicure lasted roughly 20 minutes and it was incredibly uncomfortable. First appointment made since reopening after Covid-19 closures. I expect a bit of a learning curve when it comes to the new regulations put on salon businesses now. However, the shop was packed. Clients sitting next to clients, no dividers or partitions in between and every single manicure table was filled, people sitting in the waiting area and even more people in the pedicure chairs. The pedicure area has shower curtain liners as dividers and not a single one had been pulled close. Appointment was for 12 and wasn't even started until 1230. Salon services are supposed to be by appointment only at 50% capacity right now and she was allowing walk-ins to come in. Another girl also had a 12 pm appointment and she wasn't started until 1. Completely unacceptable and will eventually risk exposing many people to getting sick. I will not be returning read more

I went and got a pedicure and a manicure 3 weeks ago, I had the man that looks like Elvis do my pedicure well it was a disaster because the only time I had my feet in the water was in the beginning when he was doing someone else's pedicure. So he started to do my pedicure he was clipping my nails and after he was done with that he was using a nail file and kept going across my toes and kept hurt my feet and then when I thought I was supposed to put my foot back in the water while he worked on my other foot well no he didn't want me to put my foot in instead he put the stuff on my foot that they put on while the get the calluses off my feet and had me sit with it laid down on the platform you put your feet on so he starts to remove my calluses and wasn't paying attention to what he was doing and cut my foot open and I said ouch that hurts he stopped and said oh I'm sorry so then he has me put my foot in the water and works on my other foot so when he was done he puts my feet in my flip flops and I noticed my foot was bleeding and I tell him so he goes in his little kit and pulls out Carmex that you put on your lips if you have chapped lips or whatever and puts it on my foot mind you he has no gloves on and he's touching my foot that's bleeding and uses his clinger that doesn't have gloves on and I have an open wound and why in the hell would he put carmex on my bleeding foot and not a band-aid and when he put me out under the drying station thank god I had a paper towel in my purse and I found a band-aid in my purse to put on it! I don't think I'll be going back here to get anything done ever again because the none of the things he was working with like the calluse remover was no clean he pulled it out of the little thing he had all of his other stuff and I didn't see a sanitizer in the place at all and it's been 3 weeks and it's still not healed and still hurts and I asked for money off and they only took $5 off of my service! I was kind of hesitant when I pulled up outside because it looked like your run of the mill nail salon. I was glad I tried it out! The service was extremely friendly and helpful. I've only been to this salon 2 times but I really liked it. Both times, the same male did my nails and I cannot remember his name (shame on me) but we talked the entire time and he was so nice and friendly. When I went in the 2nd time, he had brought in his dog. This tiny, adorable Yorkie mix who slept on my lap the entire time so that sealed the deal for me :) The other techs (3 women) were also very nice and friendly. Pricing seemed similar to other nail salons. The salon itself could use some new paint on the walls but it was clean and comfortable. They have 2 pedicure chairs just for kids which I thought was cute. Lastly, both times I went in, I had a specific design I wanted from Pinterest and they were able to do it. I hate those generic looking flowers and other salons have told me they are unable to paint specific designs but Tip Top Nails did a good job. read more

Tip Top Nails use to be a nice place to go to. I've gotten my nails done by Natlie since she was at eastpoint mall. However, Natlie has become so money hungry that she's hired Mexicans to Do nails. she rushes certain customers to cater to particular individuals. I came in for a fill in and pedicure. The Mexican woman did a great job with my pedicure but my polish job was sloppy and all over my toes. Natalie rushed my fill in standing up at my pedicure chair because she had a 2:00 appointment for eyelashes with another customer. Once my pedicure was finished she just wanted to rush polish my nails because I called her from the back with her eyelash customer to finish my nails. She never finished shaping my nails by the way she just did the layover and went to the back to complete her lash appointmen. when I told her that I didn't want polish she got mad because she knew I was upset about my nails. I paid my bill and lef. That was the worse customer service I've ever seen at that nail shop. I only rated one star because I couldn't leave it empty. I am pissed and will never go back read more

I got a pedicure....and it was very unpleasant. The lady made me bleed and it really hurt. She wasnt wearing gloves. The tub did have a liner....but she took the liner off BEFORE washing off my legs when she put the exfoliating stuff on them. So my bare feet were in the tub with no liner. When she massaged my feet, she squeezed them so hard it hurt. Then she brushed my legs and it hurt so bad. The bristles on the brush are WAY too harsh. It really was a painful experience. Find another salon to go to! I visited this establishment on a Sunday afternoon. Despite the fact that there was only one other person waiting when I arrived I waited for a half hour. It was clear the nail technicians had no idea what they were doing which is why they move so slowly. When I was taken for a pedicure the technician chopped my nails so far down he exposed to sensitive skin, usually protected by the nail. When they realized they cut too far down for one nail because it was where the nail attached to the skin they proceeded to use some sort of tool to try to lift the nail higher. The technician proceeded to be very rude, absent minded and sloppy. I was charged the full price, despite my dissatisfaction. I will NEVER go here again. Do yourself a favor find somewhere else to go, there are a dozen other nail places in the area. read more

I really am disappointed. I waited 1 hour to get my nails done .... And was VERY patient. Then I get my nails done the girl is nice but she charges me $43.00 ?!?! And says it's because I got them rounded. When I had gone before and they were only 25$ rounded acrylic and gel. This time I only got acrylic and regular paint. Not even gel. So now. It's three days later and ALL of my nails have come off. They were chipping and coming up and catching my hair the first day I got them done ....... Not to mention I haven't done any work or anything. I was over charged and had a very low quality job done. If you're smart do not ever go here!!!! Honestly I think they're hurting for money and will come up with any excuse to try to get a few extra dollars out of you. I watched them charge a woman 48$ just for an acrylic set. With a simple design The woman was in awe. And honestly so was I. I'm very very disappointed and honestly disgusted with the quality of my nails done not to mention now my nail bed is exposed because they use a Dremel. I will NEVER go here again.
