Update: I received a call from the owner, Mr. Shawn, regarding my concerns, and he noted my issues with price communication and actual pricing. I gave him recommendations for future customer questions such as: 1. Have a written price estimate of the actual jobs that could be done before the work begins. 2. Purchase an inexpensive camera that shows the customer (and the technician) that the duct is clear and there is no damage to the tubing from bottom all the way to the outside. 3. Watch out! Total scam artists! Unfortunately the ac they installed stopped working. I have been trying to get them to fix it since November of last year. They sold us a life time service guarantee but now they say they no longer install ac machines and don't need to come fix it. The guy kept promising to fix it (but reminding me he doesn't have to, and that it is a favor). He promised to come fix the ac at least four times and never showed up! Complete waste of time. After a while they just seemed like such jerks I didn't even trust them to touch my ac since I worried they might actually break something on purpose. Horrible company, rude owner, liars. read more

Buyer BEWARE!! I paid $8900 for services that were not rendered. This was almost double the original quote (which was not itemized) and the work was never completed. I was given a guarantee, that was not honored. In addition, I was told multiple times that workers would be there on certain days and certain times and they never showed or called. Sean (the manager or owner) will do the bait and switch and once he has your money, he will just ignore you. This is a scam and his word means nothing. I own a townhouse that is over 30 years old. While I have seen some mold on my air duct vents and the dark nasty mold inside my ducts, I realized at some point I should have the ducts cleaned. They did not explain the process and did work before the insurance company adjuster was on site to give the go ahead. I seldom take the time to write reviews but I feel compelled to do it since there are so many duct cleaning services in Houston to choose from and this can be very daunting! I highly recommend Tip Top Air Duct cleaning service. I had a deep clean with the roto brush of my ducts and a dryer vent cleaning. The service was exceptional. Sean was very personal, professional and above all honest. NO hard selling! He gave me an overview of what he'd be doing and took the time to patiently explain the process and answer questions I had about what the cleaning entailed, the mold treatment benefits and the benefits of the UV light in the prevention of mold growth. He showed me pictures of the black and green mold and explained also that this was what the mildewy smell was due to. This was an older townhouse and it appeared the ducts had not been cleaned in a very long time. He went above and beyond by completely cleaning any residuals from his work and even painting the edges of the vent covers where taking it out resulted in a color change. The company was able to accommodate my schedule with a Sunday service call. Sean notified me that he was enroute by text, and immediately texted me after the service call to thank me for my business. He sent me the before and after pictures of my ducts and I am in the process of getting a detailed invoice outlining the diagnosis, services performed and my payment for future reference. A year later, I called them to check some moisture on the OUTSIDE of the unit To see if the mold came back. I bought a house and I guarantee no one has ever cleaned the ducts or registers. Tip Top wasn't the cheapest company I got an estimate from, but I went with them because over the phone and in person (during the estimate) they were super informative. They answered all my questions. The day of the cleaning, they went out of their way to get new registers for me because mine were old plastic ones that were super discolored. It took a few hours but they undid everything and I watched them vacuum, clean, and spray a disinfectant. After the work they spoke to me about maintenance and what to do if there were any problems. The only weird thing was that they left a single box of trash at my front door with my old air filters in them - they took all the old registers and trash. Also they didn't tell me until the day before that I needed to provide my own filters. Which is fine, but I wish I had known earlier since I had this done at the beginning of the coronovirus scare and going to any store was a nightmare. read more

I had this company come out 3/2021 to clean out my dryer duct. I just purchased a new dryer & it alerts you if there is a clog. They came out charged $200 (which they said included a 3-year warranty) on paperwork it shows warranty. Called to have them come out less than 1 year later due to error code again. Was told it would be an additional $189 for maintenance for warranty to be in effect. What??? That's not on paperwork & that's not a warranty!!! Scammers!!! Then he got mad at me hung up on me twice & wont respond by text or answer phone. I've contacted another company who is less expensive than they are. Good riddance! Pros: quick response, quick, professional service. They showed when they promised and called ahead, which is great. Cons: maybe this was just my experience, but the original quote was given to me as a range (low to high, if they needed to go through the attic). Ultimately, the final proposal I received was over $200 higher than the top end of that quote range. It was explained to me that the design of my house, built in 2008, is somehow extra difficult when it comes to dryer vent cleaning. They had to go through the attic, but it was a tight squeeze, apparently. Honestly, I've still have a nagging question in the back of my mind as to whether or not I got taken. Horrific Experience These guys are liars and cheats. We hired them to redo all duct work in our Ac system. They damaged my entire house. People stepped on lights that flew out of the ceiling they installed wrong size ac vents. It was the worst experience ever and then they took advantage of us when it came down to final payment. We had to have painters come out and repaint almost every ceiling in our home and even the painter they sent out did it incorrect and smeared pain on my dining room chairs. I called them and hired them because they told me they could do the entire job themselves and completely restore my house. However, they left me with no walls or insulation in the middle of winter. But the worse was that they not only did this business over charged over 12K, which was three times the going rate for mitigation per my insurance company, but also they pulled a bait and switch on replacing the AC unit. They gave me an estimate for a name brand AC unit but put in a cheap aftermarket instead. When I brought it to their attention, they said that they said that they would replace it. However, that never happened, and they keep asking for the other half of the money and it has been six months and I still haven't gotten what I agreed to have installed. What an absolute joke this company is. They came to my house last night to clean my AC ducts with basically a wet vac! They were there for about 30 minutes and came out of the attic saying they were done. I told them there was no way they cleaned the ducts and needed to do them again from downstairs. They proceeded to take the vents off and ran the hose up with their wet vac, took them about 30 more minutes. They didn't clean any of the vents or do anything with the air returns. After they left, I started looking around and there was dirt on the carpet under the vents, which means there was still dirt in the vents when they said they were done the first time and probably still dirt in them now. Highly unprofessional and will push services. They were called for service on Aug 19th at a tenant occupied house to inspect their prior work. They were originally scheduled for Aug 18th and call the same day to reschedule. The next day they showed up late and texted me to perform the additional service and I have a text to them saying to wait while I get the approval from the owner. The technician informed me that they have already performed the service and I owe them $250. When I asked will this fix the problem, the technician informed me he is not sure and no warranty for the work. Basically unapproved service performed that does not solve the problem and forced to pay the bill. It is okay for them to reschedule and show up late, but if you don't answer their phone right away, they will bombard you with back to back calls with different numbers. I have paid the bill and got a receipt for carpet cleaning. Highly disappointed. read more

Our system has never been cleaned in 15 years. They explained the cost of $99 plus any additional vents after 10 plus the air returns over the phone. Appt was set up for 2 days later from 8-10. They were prompt and finished the job in about an hour (2400' house). We had Johnny and his helper and they were very kind and courteous, explaining the unit's condition and did a great job. No mold and you notice a clean scent in the air. Very glad we used Tip Top and I will use them again (but not 15 years...). I had an appointment set with these people to clean my ducts. They sent a truck that did not have their logo to come clean my ducts. The lady on the phone told me that when they inspect for mold before they clean, it would be free. It wasn't. The guy also tried to get me into spending $4,000 to clean mold and redo my ducts (I got a second opinion, there was no mold).
