Due to a mix up on the venue's part, this order had accidentally been brought to Connie's, laundered, pressed, and folded without directive. At first, the manager Chris expected payment in full for the service, but once the situation was explained he comped the final bill. I, too, am an event planner and often need to outsource a linen service for table cloths, napkins, skirting, etc. I would wholeheartedly recommend working with Connie's in the future. It is refreshing to see industry professionals work together to take care of each other. In this situation, Connie's took care of the little guy...and as a result, has gained customers for life. The price included every single piece with alterations, which was great! We chose to pay extra for zubaz lining inside the coats. I did not like that they have a kinda limited color selection. We were looking for tan/brown/beige and I think there was only like 5 shades to choose from. We finally found one we both loved and when the groomsman all went in to get fitted initially, they did try to convince my husband to pick a different suit! Eventually they called us again and said the manufacturer wasn't making the suits we wanted anymore, how convenient. We picked out new suits and they got ordered however, when they came in and nobody called to tell us so we never knew to go in to try them on for additional tailoring- we had to call them. When we went in to try them on it was about 1-2 weeks before the wedding. The inside lining we ordered extra was not sewn in yet and there were still final alterations that needing to be made with some of the arm and leg cuffs. They said come back and pick them up the week of the wedding. We went back again maybe 3 days before and still needed more alterations. The whole thing was just cutting it super close to the wedding and the amount of issues with the alterations and another one with our ring bearers suit was just so much added stress that probably could have been avoided. I would like to add though, they tailor everything, not just suits.

I was warned about Davids…read moreBridal, where I purchased this gown, that they would charge exorbitant rates, so i tried to find another tailor. I was told by this tailor and his wife that yes they could absolutely do what I wanted done to the gown (high/low look), and a couple minor adjustments, to the tune of 334.00$. I agreed thinking Davids would have been more, and was considering myself lucky to have found the right shop. I couldn't have been more wrong. I was called back to the shop three weeks later, (32 days before my wedding), to be told that aaaaa no, they couldn't actually do what they said they could. It's too labor intensive. I panicked at this point with my wedding so close, and called Davids bridal to beg their forgiveness and fix my dress in time. They agreed to my immense relief and are altering my dress as I write this. Turns out Collana's tailor cut far to much of the tulle off the underskirt of my dress, and really messed it up. I was shown the problems they created by the seamstresses at Davids and was told to demand my money back. Thank god they can fix it enough to be wearable.
